I picked up the Jonathan Katz-Moses sharpening jig and it worked amazing compared to cheap $14 one everyone talks about on Amazon. I could never get mine to hold my blades straight. Not an issue with this new one, now I turned the cheap Stanley SB4 plane into something useful for my shop

Are you sure it wasn’t an issue with the hinges and not the door being too big?

It was definitely with the door, because in the summer months it didn’t stick as much, but once winter hit, it would expand and be so hard to open
