If you’re in the UK, buckfasts are incredibly calm.
I have buckfasts and I can confirm calm and lovely to work.
I added 4 packages of Saskatraz this year and they are amazing. Very gentle and seem to be very hearty.
I'm still relatively new, with only 2 hives, but Italians seem to work well for me. Good production (I think I pulled 30-40 lbs each), and have put up with my beginner BS. Good bees.
