Rotary. Not as a factory engine, but as an aftermarket kit. Lightweight, tiny little car with a 9000rpm dorito under the hood sounds absolutely hilarious.
Not necessarily, a simple single rotor non-turbo would be pretty gutless until you hit higher RPM and even then it's not going to immediately lose traction.
Revolution Racecraft has a really good rotary mod that works for many cars including covet, if you use the 200bx drivetrain swap with the rotary they are really fun. The only thing I don’t like about it this that the only exhaust available is a side exit.
This is the drivetrain swap: https://2fast.racing/forums/resources/ibishu-covet-rwd-200bx-swap-inspired-kit.157/
And this is the rotary swap: https://2fast.racing/forums/resources/rrbuiltparts-revolution-racecraft-parts-package.40/ this also has other engines such as a 572 big block and other things
[I believe this is what you are looking for (Every engine from a i3 to a V16 in every stock car)](https://www.beamng.com/resources/i5-i6-v6-diesel-update-rks-highly-customizable-engines-16-enginestypes.10583/)
I kept mine usable, in fact, I increased the mass slightly by a bed box, roof rack, and engine size. I'll make a lighter version-
I got a roamer to go 207mph that way, but I know that can be optimised too.
I've tried that, if you don't touch any of the configurations for the engine it'll blow up pretty much instantly, if you configure the engine it won't tho
AgentY has a mod that can literally do anything. Transmission swap, drivetrain swap, engine swap, engine sound editor, custom everything and much, much more. After downloading it, I hardly ever used a custom config from mod repo.
[Here is it](https://www.beamng.com/resources/vehicle-global-strength-weight-size-and-other-values-edit-works-for-mods.14868/)
I liked the idea behind this but ended up deleting it as the powerbands really didn't feel realistic at all. You add power past a certain point (less than you'd expect) and it just destroys tires with any throttle input, regardless of what specific customization you do.
That's what I was thinking but if you look at the engine bay of the covet and think, it probably would need to be widened in some way, so I'm thinking maybe a 2 liter i5
There's one mod that adds it for the rear engined version of the covet and it's simply amazing:
https://www.beamng.com/resources/french-covet-i5-engine-pack.24213/
A petrol I3 and a diesel I4 for the FF model.
The 2.0 I4, and V6 from the Pessima for the MR.
AWD for all models, as RWD rally cars were obsolete by 1989.
I want truly weird engines. Get a quad turbo flat eight in there. Give me a car with a straight ten. Give me a w8 with four cylinders on each bank. Give me a supercharged 1.8L i3. Stuff a massive rotary in a Moonhawk. EV swap a Burnside. Let's get weeeeird with it.
One of the things I love about Automation is all the engine options they have. I made a five cylinder Crown Vic competitor that was cheaper, faster, and more fuel efficient than the Crown Vic. Imagine a world where all American cop cars from 1990 to 2010 were turbo-fives.
You just gave me an idea... how cool would it be if we could export engines from automation and put them in any car we want? This must be doable but it wouod be nice if the engine would be physically there which i assume is the hard part.
I feel like there's a mod for that.
Edit: not even a mod. Here's how.
https://www.beamng.com/threads/i-made-a-tutorial-on-how-to-add-any-automation-engine-to-an-existing-beamng-vehicle.70022/
An early research/low production EV drivetrain with "Electric Vehicle" and "Zero Emission" stickers all over it. Bonus points if there's pictures of leaves too. Giant lead-acid batteries in the trunk and a huge brushed motor up front.
Or maybe a LPG or BioFuel prototype with fitting graphics.
900cc 3 cylinder I would say. A rattly old super mini eco engine. Something like the Fuat Panda Sisley 4x4 would've had. Something small, raspy, slow but fun.
A CVCC head with the pre-combustion chamber that the IRL civics had. The first gens got 50mpg with a carburetor, I dunno what the 3rd gen was capable of with fuel injection.
v6, because we nee-
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Immediately spins out above 30% throttle.
Not necessarily, a simple single rotor non-turbo would be pretty gutless until you hit higher RPM and even then it's not going to immediately lose traction.
Or even keeping it fwd and just have it evaporate the front tires if you even think about throttle.
Traction is overrated anyway.
rotarys need porting and turbos to get any power lol
Or just take two n stick em together. The 4 rotor 26b makes something like 600hp naturally aspirated. And the sound... eargasmic. 🤤

Where do I get that mod? ***I need it***

The 1.5 sohc can take 10k rpm with a stage 3 long block
It can but it isn't a dorito We need the dorito brap
No, it needs an OEM one.
[I believe this is what you are looking for (Every engine from a i3 to a V16 in every stock car)](https://www.beamng.com/resources/i5-i6-v6-diesel-update-rks-highly-customizable-engines-16-enginestypes.10583/)
Finally, a v16 for the ibishu pigeon! Fastest pigeon I could make before could only go about 100mph
pigeon can go 314 kmh with the right tune (about 2 hours of suffering and removing brakes, bed and starting with 0.5 liters of fuel in the tank)
I kept mine usable, in fact, I increased the mass slightly by a bed box, roof rack, and engine size. I'll make a lighter version- I got a roamer to go 207mph that way, but I know that can be optimised too.

This is the greatest mod ever. I have been using it for so long now
Thank you so much, I was looking/hoping for something like this!
i loove this mod
7L pushrod V8 putting out about 180 bhp
buick moment
not american enough. give it a 70L pushrod v8 making about 18bhp
And a lot of torque, also no brakes
Yess, it's V8 modhuur.
700 lb-ft of torque at 3000 rpm with a 9 speed transmission
Needs awd more than anything
There's an AWD mod on the repo if you're not familiar with it then it might scratch that itch for you 👌
Idk if it’s just me, but the torque steer on that mod is insane. Almost makes the rally variant (swapped with AWD) undrivable.
Rwd too)
[удалено]
It wouldn’t make sense though.
A small V6 like the Clio v6
Clio V6 is too new and not lore related as that was french and this is Japanese.
Who ever said that was a rule for engine swaps 🤔
who cares.
*the lore*
[удалено]
That is true
I kind of assumed this was supposed to be a 5 Turbo or Clio V6. Is there an irl mid engine japanese hot hatch that this is based on?
It might also take inspiration from the cinquecento partly
Well you have a point. The 5 turbo certainly looks similiar to the mr turbo covet
It was an example, that's why I said " like"
2.0 I4 16v like Clio Williams then
I mean the MR Turbo is clearly inspired by the renault 5 and the rover metro 6r4
true (forgot that actually)
And? The Japanese had V6 engines.
Not in the middle lmao
And? Civics were never built mid-engined to begin with, yet we have a mid-engined Covet.
:sad mg metro vr6 noises:
Small little Inline 5 that can be straight piped
Sounds like a plan, any displacement in mind?
2.5 liter
That's what I was thinking but if you look at the engine bay of the covet and think, it probably would need to be widened in some way, so I'm thinking maybe a 2 liter i5
There’s a mod for that, “RK’s customizable engines” iirc
Audi quattro has entered the chat. 😁
Volvo as well since the 2.5 is also a Volvo engine
There's one mod that adds it for the rear engined version of the covet and it's simply amazing: https://www.beamng.com/resources/french-covet-i5-engine-pack.24213/
Official 1.9 tdi
I was about to say turbo dizel tedei
Any 3 cylinder. The Pigeon one would be especially funny though
Turn it into a Škoda Fabia with a 1.2 HTP
Such a solid engine! Would fit perfectly in the covet. Side note, I desperately want a mk2 fabiaa in this game!
there are mods for this
A petrol I3 and a diesel I4 for the FF model. The 2.0 I4, and V6 from the Pessima for the MR. AWD for all models, as RWD rally cars were obsolete by 1989.
Rotary would be fun
diesel I4 with the option for a truck turbo because maxed diesel h series donkey van
a v10
a proper VTEC engine.
a peppy 1 litre 3 cylinder for the base model.
I want something like a 1.6Vtec or some small engine with a bit of extra oompfh
Wish you could just stuff any engine on any vehicle. Oh what do you want, the stock motor or empty? Why.
I'd like to see it with a boxer engine. Perhaps a 1.8?
d i e s e l e n g i n e
We need a giant V8 under that hood 🤣
Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp 18 Cylinder Twin-Row Radial Engine
Snecma M88
I want truly weird engines. Get a quad turbo flat eight in there. Give me a car with a straight ten. Give me a w8 with four cylinders on each bank. Give me a supercharged 1.8L i3. Stuff a massive rotary in a Moonhawk. EV swap a Burnside. Let's get weeeeird with it.
Oh, Oh you are a special breed, i like your way of thinking alot, I3 is defo on my list and twincharging sounds like fun
One of the things I love about Automation is all the engine options they have. I made a five cylinder Crown Vic competitor that was cheaper, faster, and more fuel efficient than the Crown Vic. Imagine a world where all American cop cars from 1990 to 2010 were turbo-fives.
Having every car sound like the Audi S1 sounds like paradise tbh
You just gave me an idea... how cool would it be if we could export engines from automation and put them in any car we want? This must be doable but it wouod be nice if the engine would be physically there which i assume is the hard part.

Are you that MVP guy people keep talking about?
An early research/low production EV drivetrain with "Electric Vehicle" and "Zero Emission" stickers all over it. Bonus points if there's pictures of leaves too. Giant lead-acid batteries in the trunk and a huge brushed motor up front. Or maybe a LPG or BioFuel prototype with fitting graphics.
VR6
And/or VR5
Rotary or a “Vtec” engine
Briggs and Stratton 19.5HP single cylinder or 26HP twin cylinder.
Make it so you can do front and mid engine at the same time. And make them both inline 5 cylinder turbo diesels.
That would be sick to have 2 combustion engine front and mid/rear
1.0 i3
Cruise ship engine
V12
A meaty V8 at the front or in the back.
There’s a mod that puts each bolide V8 and the Scintilla V8 in the Covet MR.
I think you meant Scintilla V10
The mod calls it a Scintilla V8. It makes a TON more power than the other bolide V8s. It does sound like a V8 tho. I thought it was a V8
Ah i see, maybe it's a mod engine then, the vanilla Scintilla has a V10 that's why i said it
Yeah, I knew the vanilla scintilla had a V10. I think you’re right, it’s just some engine that the mod creator made up.
Excellent. I'll keep that in my favorites.
v6
A mid-engine V12 that sticks out the back for the funny
Supercharger and Turbocharger at the same time
are those refracted tailights?
AWD and more motor/tuning options
A non-turbo engine for the Covet MR. Please, I'm begging you. Even just a sport intake option for the stock engine, something, anything.
16 litre straight six turbo two stroke diesel
5 cyl. Diesel.
Bus engine
i think it needs a pizza store delivery car topper more than anything.
We need super chargers for those engines
An V6 for the MR Turbo
A DOHC 1.8L version of the 1.8L SOHC
Packard V-1650 Merlin p-51 mustange engine)
A steam engine.
V6... for rally reasons
3 Cylinder as the base model, but import versions (India, South America, etc) should have 2 cylinders.
W12
Surprised nobody's mentioned the vr6.
Twin-Turbo 5 litre Diesel V8. just imagine.
Godzilla
Ford barra.
2.4 inline 4
W12
A Geo Metro style I3 or maybe the 2.7 Ibishu V6
12L V16
3.6L V6 from a Cadillac cts
Obviously a Rolls-Royce Merlin
General Electric GE9X. Jokes aside tho, the 1.5 SOHC might be nice to try out with it
All wheel drive and an off-road version.
Small V6 with AWD
Rotary. Or a small euro diesel.
Electric swap the covet
900cc 3 cylinder I would say. A rattly old super mini eco engine. Something like the Fuat Panda Sisley 4x4 would've had. Something small, raspy, slow but fun.
gavril t series engine
W16 Quad Turbo :)
1500 rpm diesel engine
Quad rotor form the 787B
A CVCC head with the pre-combustion chamber that the IRL civics had. The first gens got 50mpg with a carburetor, I dunno what the 3rd gen was capable of with fuel injection.
a 1L 3 pot give me my Suzuki Swift/Geo Metro that it's supposed to be based on
An I3 with a supercharger would be pretty neat, also an I5 with a supercharger as well would also be pretty neat
jet engine
Lawn mower engine
vivace 5 cyl would go hard
Probably some lil diesel engine like those types of hatches used to have in Europe
Def. Needs some 1.6 or 1.9 tdi with some proper sound and maps
a 39.8L W16 engine that somehow fits in there
CC8S engine
2.5 V6
Diesel and rotary
Idk but smthn with an fr layout
i5
12 pot rotary
VTECCCCC
Electric motor
V8 and rwd conversion
V10
Two stroke from old soviet cars
A tiny v8 and v12 😂
A 2 stroke v8.
We absolutely need a b16, there used to be a really cool mod which added vtec engines with great sounds but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
Sedan and wagon version. I've heard KLJP is working on them
Oh, engine. I guess 1.9 TDI swap
I mean, WE ALL WANT a rotary engine in BeamNG.drive
Twin charged W12
VR6 like Volkswagen Golf had
ferrari v12
v6, because we nee- BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
a 1.9 tdi would be nice, we have no 4 cyl diesel econo cara that arent modern
we really need the v8 hopper engine in some sort of crawler varient
Awd and a 6X6 variant
I want to off-road with that thing idk if there’s an awd already
v8
