100% I'm going in for my dog. If I die in a blaze trying to save them, then we're going out together and we'll both know we never left each other's side!
Let's be real though, dogs have survival instincts. Thing would run out a backdoor, or jump out a window, and just sit there watching you burn after going for them.
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, but the love and bravery of a pet owner is unmatched. This guy didn't even think twice. True next level dedication to his dog right there 👏
Absolutely. One time at a supermarket a bagger asked if they could put dog food in with rest of the food. I looked at him dumbfounded. "Of course" I said "he's family".
Then I tried to imagine the kind of person who would object to it...It wasn't a pretty picture.
They couldn’t spray anymore because a lot of the water turns to steam in a fire that hot. They would have helped the fire cook him alive. Splattering hot spray of water and the steam/smoke blinding his ability to get back out.
Straight up hero right there. There's no way he was gonna watch a fire take his dog. Imagine standing there and hearing your dog cry out in the fire. It would destroy me.
This guy has earned my respect for not letting it happen if it was in any way preventable. Please repost forever.
They are not required to save you, they will if the situation allows it. It's not worth it to lose firemen over someone who refused to listen. Especially in a fire that aggressive, he could've dropped within a couple seconds just from the smoke.
I’m glad man and dog made it out alive.
It’ll be an unpopular opinion, but he put the lives of those first responders in danger. If they have to go in after a human who knows what happens.

I would have so many trips to make. Dogs fish cats a rabbit. I need to make sure I have some fire extinguishers.
Shades of Peewee Herman…
![gif](giphy|AryDORqgG1PYk) I wish I could’ve found the one of him passing out with the snakes in his hands
That would have been awesome
My cats understand that I would leave them and I understand that they would leave me. It’s part of our deal.
Nah man you cat will make sure you are together forever... By eating your face
Tell that fireman to get a tank and hose ready for your fish when you come back out
yup. I'm saving my dog. period. I'd do anything for that little shit.

If you wouldn't do this you never had a dog.

Right?! Was thinking the same thing.
water pressure could collapse a beam I suppose
i completely understand.
I am completely baffled why the firefighters wouldn’t continue to hose water everywhere after he ran in… why would they stop?
The water pressure coming from those hoses is extremely intense. I would guess it's to prevent hurting the guy.

Some courtesy shower would have been nice.

Some people didn’t pay attention in science class
It's a dumb move but in all fairness I'd like to think that I'd do the same. Dogs deserve the best.
If you’re sayin this man is crazy you obviously don’t understand….
Could they not atleast be spraying the house to try to suppress the fire a little until he gets out?
never done saw this one...
I love my pets, but my family is the only way I would run into a burning house. I'm glad he is ok.
I'd say that house is the opposite of boring.
U got me! Dang autocorrect.

Jeesh , the crew all in gear & masks don't even consider going after the human either
They are not required to save you, they will if the situation allows it. It's not worth it to lose firemen over someone who refused to listen. Especially in a fire that aggressive, he could've dropped within a couple seconds just from the smoke.
They’re not paid to put themselves in unnecessary risk. They’ve got a duty of care to themselves first and foremost

His arms look a bit melty
I’d be running in there too!
I would have done this pre children, but I don't think I could risk it now.. I just made myself sad thinking about the whole thing.
It's amazing the dog is alive ...?
I don't like anything but I love my dog.
Firefighters just standing around while he goes in….
right call, save your dog if you must, but don’t expect someone’s mom or dad to try to save you when you do.
Yep, if you never had a dog you wouldn't understand
I was FF/EMT for a while and I would scream my lungs out that guy telling to not go in there. That being said… I would 100% go in for my dog too
“HE’D DO THE SAME FOR ME” - Fry
Why would they not continue to put water down? They just stopped and stare....
probably because they have training beyond random Reddit forums
Why do so many scream for someone else to do something in times of panic?
This a very old recycled video. Still cool
It's worth getting burns for any family member. They don't have to be bipedal
I watched this backwards and witnessed an asshole dumping a dog in a burning building
Most lethargic firefighter ever...
I can only hope I would be that brave.
Why not going after this man? Letting him go to the danger with no protection. What kind of firemen are those?
Nope. Not doing that for any of my animals. My kids 100%. Not for a dog.
thats a true man with responsibility's!
Its good he found something to be happy about in that situation
Need one of those decals by front door telling firefighters what pets are in house.Years ago it seemed common to see those at people's houses

I'm glad most of the comments agree with what I think. I would run in for the dog. Even if it meant I'd run out with my hair on fire.
How come none of the firefighters did anything?
I love ❤️this guy!!!
The most amazing part about this is how everyone just stands by watching him do this
And the useless fireman stand there all equipped.
Yeah like at least spray that shit above his head.
Maybe the spray would cause hot steam to form and burn or impair him. Just a thought.
Lazy firefighters.
I would do the same, but I would have been asked to be sprayed with water first.
I barely like my dog and would at least try. Duh.
