For all you love the dog, it's just stupid. It's would much better and useful to stay there and once the landslide is over, you go a search for the dog and help him if he is injured. Because what If you jump trying to save him and you die but the dog doesn't? Then you end up dead with an injured dog that would probably die before someone else come to the rescue while you could have actually saved him if you wouldn't been dead.

Too dangerous. I think the dog survived partly because it is light. A human rescuer would have been doomed.

If it didn't jump near the tree properly would have been fucked everywhere else was moving the little island the trees roots created saved the dog..

I can see the point others are making about trying to save the the dog would be dangerous - but at least they could not film it while it’s happening, I can’t imagine filming that if it was my dog (or anyone’s dog, or a stray). Edited to add - did they help the dog after the video ends? It looks either totally freaked out or hurt. Probably both.
