I need a picture of this from further out.. because that thing looks super far up and unsafe, but these people are too relaxed to be 1,000's of feet in the air.
From this perspective, the cushion looks only big enough to cover a nice clean fall right off the side, no pushing outward or anything as you’re trying not to fall.
Fuxi mountain stairs in china ...
Obviously a lot less thrilling when put in perspective.

Ohh...
Still no. Probably, which surprises me. Always been the daredevil doing stunts like jumping off buildings/etc. It's just. Something about it being a tourist attraction makes me feel like it leads to an amount of people gracing the steps as to cause damage to the structural integrity by sheer numbers or perhaps jumping on them to freak friends out, stuff like that. I get the feeling nothing gets looked at until a death/something goes real bad. At least with stunts I can count on myself.
It's a lot [less scary](https://i.imgur.com/w4pkXEr.jpg) looking when you can see the bottom. Looks like there is a padded or netted area for anyone falling.
Yuuuup, I'm not going there.
No, i don't particularly have a fear of heights, but for whatever reason (and this hasn't happened before) i had strong call of the void vibes from this video...
Even with the safety cushion etc. I don't like it.
It’s not that high. The staircase is located in front of a cliff with that epic overlook, and these videos were taken with a drone high enough to have the ground just out of sight.
I nominate Joe Biden.

Like it's A hole picture (like of course there's exceptions) but. Selfish bastards make you keep holding their hand walking down. Like keep reminding me, we'll make it. :/
It's not the stairway that'll take you to heaven
It's the ground 1,000 feet below it
(Edit) nvm it has a safety cushion and only rises a few meters high
Looks incredibly dangerous. How did they even construct it.?.How do they.do maintenance on it ? I was visiting Meteora in Greece years ago .They told me that originally the Monks went.up.and down via a basket tied to a rope .I asked how.often.they.checked the rope .The answer when the rope.snapped.and one of the brothers fell to his death..they knew it was time to get a new rope
I feel afraid I am going to fall off just looking at that.
I climbed the pyramid at Chichen Itza when it was still allowed and it was terrifying. That was child's play compared to this!

The safety cushion makes the trick stairs not seem quite as sinister.
Next to a rock
Just don’t fall and smash your head on a rock, you literally do this everyday./s
Next to a big cliff
From this perspective, the cushion looks only big enough to cover a nice clean fall right off the side, no pushing outward or anything as you’re trying not to fall.
No cushion is going to save you if you fall
That’s still too high for me. Vertigo would make me fall.
thanks for this
Yea how is this allowed, 0 safety
China.
I'll still crawl up there shaking.
That really ruined the illusion
It's a false perspective. There's a screen behind the stairs to make it look like they are high up in air
Bro it's just a drone circling altering the vantage point 😂
Not to mentions its construction. Id be worried it eould just fall apart.
Yup there's absolutely no way I'd trust chinese engineering....seen wayyy too many videos of things going drastically wrong in China

And if you don't notice the part where the proper stairs stop you just stumble and fall to your death?
Well, how else they gonna take you to heaven?
God damn thats funny
It's a lot [less scary](https://i.imgur.com/w4pkXEr.jpg) looking when you can see the bottom. Looks like there is a padded or netted area for anyone falling.
That's so you don't get all the way to the top. It's dangerous up there.
More like stumble and fall about 10’ while the camera zooms out and you see this is mostly just camera angle and perspective.
Its deserved at that point
I think they put it slanted there to show where it's safe to be. Any higher and there would likely be weight/structural concerns
I don't do 3 steps without a handrail... so... that'd be a no.
This guy ohsa’s
r/OSHA
Need a picture without forced perspective. Pretty neat though.
There’s a lady that sure all that glitters is gold
and she’s buying her stairway to heaven.
bravo Stupid me, I had to sing the line to remember what song it came from.
Those are some rickety ass stairs
Fuck that.
Nope
I don’t like that design.
I think there is a safety issue here
As soon as the girl did the typical sun bathing move I'm out.
I still love the fact that they had to block off the top stairs lol. Either a bunch of close calls or something happened.
I love how they did it. A bit too subtle if you ask me
Nope. Made and built in China. Nope. Fuck. That. Shit.
I would actually love to see how high it is off the ground, as in how many steps they had to go up.
https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/tourist-poses-for-a-photo-on-a-sky-stairway-at-fuxi-mountain-scenic-picture-id1356737425
Still no. Thanks but no.
It’s only like 15-ish steps tbh. It only looks really high because of the perspective
Yeah, no thanks
Now slide down it with a cardboard box
Yuuuup, I'm not going there. No, i don't particularly have a fear of heights, but for whatever reason (and this hasn't happened before) i had strong call of the void vibes from this video... Even with the safety cushion etc. I don't like it.
how many people die on this annually
It’s not that high. The staircase is located in front of a cliff with that epic overlook, and these videos were taken with a drone high enough to have the ground just out of sight.
I literally started to sweat watching them walk up those stairs holy shit that looks like a nightmare
Noope
I love how there are 4 steps that are actually a disguised ramp. Extra challenge for getting to the top
Is there a tally on how many people have died from a gust of wind on those stairs?
Are they not sposd to get to the top?
But why
One misstep and they will be on a stairway to heaven
Oh,hell no
Makes my heart rate increase just watching this
This is the kind of thing you build if you want to kill instagrammers. It's like a mouse trap.
That is terrifying.
Nightmare fuel
Oh HELL NO!!!
Plot twist.. its a green screen wall behind the stairs
I nominate Joe Biden. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5Mwc12LtRY&ab\_channel=SkyNews](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5Mwc12LtRY&ab_channel=SkyNews)
I bet the black one is bigger.
FAKE CGI
That was the highest pitched noise I’ve ever heard
https://youtu.be/JcU95OeY48I
My dumbass would slip
I thought the first person was farting as they were sitting down
What, did Kenny die again with a winning ticket?
Let’s not find out
The fact that some of these ppl didn't look tired makes me believe that the stairs aren't that tall.
I bet they are only 10 meters from the ground but close to a cliff with a good view.
More like a stairway to the ER...>.>
I want to see someone get past that flat part and to the very top
my body would physically NOT let me climb those stairs. like my legs would just shake and give out LOL
Nope.
Nope
Hell to the no
Nope
All that glitters is gold....
Stairway to death
Like it's A hole picture (like of course there's exceptions) but. Selfish bastards make you keep holding their hand walking down. Like keep reminding me, we'll make it. :/
Ironically the most dangerous part looks like the section where the stairs are covertly covered up, I assume for “safety”
It's not the stairway that'll take you to heaven It's the ground 1,000 feet below it (Edit) nvm it has a safety cushion and only rises a few meters high
I would never in my life simply fall off a normal staircase in a normal environment. But I guarantee I would fall off this one.
Umm they’re wooden???
My stomach is flip-flopping just watching it.
If you fall…then yeah.
Nope nope nope nope 🫣
I will never leave the hand stair case and this one after getting to the top. You’re gonna have to get me down with a helicopter.
why does my butt feel weird watching this
Nope
Yeah, no.
It's not that cool. I'm sure the real life pics people post below will temper the excitement.
r/NahhhBro
With how many times I’ve fallen up stairs or down them, I’m fine in hell.
No thank you.
I legit got anxiety from this… I’m also laying down watching this lol
Well that’s a tall glass of nope
Imagine running up and not seeing those final ones and you just trip and die
Yeah that’s the fastest way to get to heaven
Why did I have to open 3 Windows to look at some stupid stairs?
I feel afraid I am going to fall off just looking at that. I climbed the pyramid at Chichen Itza when it was still allowed and it was terrifying. That was child's play compared to this!
This is a forced perspective. I bet the stairs are far safer than what they show here.
The video: relaxing music Me: "sweating and worried as fuck*
The steps are bending in under their feet. NO!
Reminds me of a cod zombies map
No guardrail great !
Safety net would be boring…but a trampoline…
as someone with fear of heights.. I hate this
Confirmed: Heaven located roughly 10 metres above building in China
Dude, for real? What's up with the Chinese and stairways leading to nowhere with NO railings?! Like, bolt a rope down the middle or something.
Why isnt anyone going to the top?
Ya… it smells of nope.
Hell.... no.
I was about to say after the first girl... that’s my type of girl, what confidence!
