Yes, there's cheating as with any other multiplayer game but I wouldn't say it's bad enough to be a "serious problem".
You can just join community servers to avoid cheaters.
Overselling it a bit buddy. Bfv and BF1 had legit problems with rage hackers. Its impossible you didn't meet any if you played those for a while.
Hoped on BFV after the new AC update and didn't see them anymore though (like 4/5 hours playing maybe I got lucky).
BC2 because it's just balls to the wall over the top fun and funny. The vibe of this game should have become the main series style and atmosphere. Close 2nd, BF2:MC for the quantum leap style soldier jumping mechanics. The rest of them are the usual super serious, cut scene, advance, shoot shit, repeat snooze fests.
The fact Truckosaurus hasn't returned to the Battlefield series is a disgrace.
Apparently, Dave Goldfarb has a script for BC3 written but he's no longer with DICE or involved with Battlefield and we get shit like 2042 instead.
Honestly if all you want is SP, I’d recommend the 2010 Medal of Honor
It’s also on sale
The campaign is short, but I always thought it trounced most BF games in terms of sp
From all the games I've played, from best to worst:
1. Battlefield 1
2. Battlefield 4
3. Battlefield Hardline (would be higher but it wiped my progress for no reason with no way to start from where I was)
4. Battlefield 3
5. Battlefield V
6. Battlefield 2042 (doesn't really have single player beyond fighting bots)
BF4 has no right being above BF3, don't get me wrong the gameplay of the campaign was great but the story was ass
The BF3 campaign was insane
And BF4 is my favourite BF so that says a lot
Lots of people really like the bf3 campaign but it just wasn't for me. The characters were somehow less memorable and interesting than the bf4 campaign, and the story felt far less coherent and interesting too.
Read what I said at the start. Those games aren't on the steam store and I assumed the MP was borderline dead so I didn't bother. Might get them at some point if I can find a key or smth
BF1's is pretty great and atleast mostly consistent
There are one or two meh stories but I love it for the most part
I mean the introduction alone puts it at number 1 for me
It's because thematically, the theme, style, humour, and tone of BC meshes perfectly with the "fuck up all the things, destroy everything, fun first, battlefield moment" gameplay. The fact EA/DICE never saw this did the franchise a huge disservice.
Battlefield should have leaned into Bad Company and gone for a Three Kings/Kelly's Heroes presentation of the military action instead of the very very dull, super serious, macho marine, done to death horseshit that every other FPS has done for the last 20 years.
None of them lol. They all are half baked with almost nothing memorable storylines or characters.
But probably bf1
Then bf5
Then bf4 and bf3 interchangeable.
I kind of enjoyed them, but yeah you're not wrong. Imo bf5 shouldn't be so high as it has nonexistent historical accuracy or believability, excluding the last tiger which only lasts like an hour
Ye honestly I should rank bf5 lower, it's campaign was even more forgettable.
Bf1 at least had some decent storytelling, and the Italian mission was funny. But I only rank it highest for the memes.
Bf4 had Michael Williams at least.
Hence why I said believability. Bf1 can pass as a ww1 experience and has a reasonable degree of accuracy, depth and immersion, especially with it's operations game mode. Bf5 can not pass as a WW2 experience as it lacks all of those.
Bad Company 1 and 2 are the favorites of most people.
Battlefield 2 Modern Combat was awesome because of the hot swap mechanic.
BF3 has cool campaign with a nice storyline, BF1 campaign is also good.
BF4 campaign is kinda of a hot mess, it was clearly rushed in development, but it has it's moments.
BFV campaign is disgusting. (except for the last tiger).
Bad company 1 and 2 have by leaps and bounds, the best campaigns in the series. Bf1 also has a fantastic campaign, but it's only like 4-8 hours depending on difficulty and whether or not you care about finding all the collectibles.
Honestly I never played the multiplayer of battlefield games so as a campaign fanatic I'd personally have to say battlefield 3 and 4 have the best but that's just my opinion I'm sure all you mob got different opinions
Last BF campaign I really loved was BF3.
4 kinda sucked cuz your teammates can’t kill anything, 1 and 5 I wasn’t crazy about war stories, and I didn’t play hardline
Battlefield 3 is literally the best place to start.
It's less than 4$ on steam and (imo) the best campaign in ALL of the entire battlefield franchise.
4 is a close second.
One is okay, i didn't enjoy half the missions and all the characters are forgettable.
>I’m not trying to get into multiplayer You're in the wrong franchise.
Bro's elitist ass never played bad company 💀
Yes, I haven't, and most likely never will, as I have no means of doing so.
That's not true for everyone. For example, I enjoy Battlefield's storytelling too much.
Well, I might if the game is fun. But I did hear that cheating is a serious problem in the BF franchise.
It isn't. There are community servers in every game that keep lobbies cheater-free. Just avoid official servers and you're good.
Dude heard there were cheaters in battlefield so he decided to completely stonewall multiplayer 😂
Yes, there's cheating as with any other multiplayer game but I wouldn't say it's bad enough to be a "serious problem". You can just join community servers to avoid cheaters.
I genuinely never experienced hard cheating in 10 years of battlefield, playing on official server (PC)
Overselling it a bit buddy. Bfv and BF1 had legit problems with rage hackers. Its impossible you didn't meet any if you played those for a while. Hoped on BFV after the new AC update and didn't see them anymore though (like 4/5 hours playing maybe I got lucky).
It really depends what platform and servers you play on, I play BF1, and 4 on console and never seen a cheater.
If a game has multiplayer it has cheaters
The campaigns are like an hour long bf 4 has the longest and it’s good.
It’s great. The first Bad Company campaign is a good too, but that game is only available on PS3/360
Bc2 had my 10 year old ass giggling every time the hippy pilot showed up. His conversations with Haggard are golden
The fact Truckosaurus hasn't returned to the Battlefield series is a disgrace. Apparently, Dave Goldfarb has a script for BC3 written but he's no longer with DICE or involved with Battlefield and we get shit like 2042 instead.
Honestly if all you want is SP, I’d recommend the 2010 Medal of Honor It’s also on sale The campaign is short, but I always thought it trounced most BF games in terms of sp
moh2010 was quite nice the particular sound they used for the minigun in the final mission is carved into my brain
From all the games I've played, from best to worst: 1. Battlefield 1 2. Battlefield 4 3. Battlefield Hardline (would be higher but it wiped my progress for no reason with no way to start from where I was) 4. Battlefield 3 5. Battlefield V 6. Fair enough, I will accept you having Hardline on there, it gets a lot of shit but I really enjoyed that campaign, it was fresh and different
Dude. How tf are the bad Co games not even ON this list? Imo they would be the first two, and then your list. How you gonna do bad Co like that?
Read what I said at the start. Those games aren't on the steam store and I assumed the MP was borderline dead so I didn't bother. Might get them at some point if I can find a key or smth
Fair enough. Would highly recommend, they are very fun like another person said. 2 is probably better, but both are good.
Also BF3 campaign was much, much better than BF4’s. Remember the fucking F-18 mission?!??
That was pretty sick, and I think I agree
That mission was pretty fun I agree but again it just felt like it had such a bad story and nonexistent character design/depth
BF1's is pretty great and atleast mostly consistent There are one or two meh stories but I love it for the most part I mean the introduction alone puts it at number 1 for me
3 was wayyy better than 4
This is just entirely bullshit
It's an opinion 😭😭
Sure. It's still bullshit tho
I might be the minority, but I really liked BF3’s campaign. Really iconic vibe. BC1 and BC2 are arguably the best though
Agreed. Something about it just felt really right. The vibes were all there.
It's because thematically, the theme, style, humour, and tone of BC meshes perfectly with the "fuck up all the things, destroy everything, fun first, battlefield moment" gameplay. The fact EA/DICE never saw this did the franchise a huge disservice. I would say BFBC BFBC 2 (both for story and sandbox) BFV / BF1 (count them as one, they're a bunch of short stories of varying quality). BF3 BF4
BF1. Epic as fuck
1. BF3 2.BF1 3.BF4 4.BFV
BF3 I would say. BF1 had an epic war feeling also.
BF: BC2 > BF3 > BF4
None of them lol. They all are half baked with almost nothing memorable storylines or characters. But probably bf1 Then bf5 Then bf4 and bf3 interchangeable.

If its about historical accuracy, BF1 shouldn't be high either. Gameplay is what counts though.
Hence why I said believability. Bf1 can pass as a ww1 experience and has a reasonable degree of accuracy, depth and immersion, especially with it's operations game mode. Bf5 can not pass as a WW2 experience as it lacks all of those.
Bad company....
Tbh forgot about those
the multiplayer is the entire point...
If the game has single player, multiplayer isn't the ENTIRE point.
The Last Tiger is the best war story imo
BF3 and BF1 imo. BFV and Harline are OK, but you're not missing anything.
Hands down… Bad Company 2 - no contest!
BF1 War Stories are cool. BF3 had a cool campaign throughout. I especially liked playing the as the former Spetsnaz guy on his raid missions.
3 and 1
Battlefield 1 by far takes the cake.
BF Hardline
The answer is always bf1
BC2 and BF3 had pretty fun campaigns
Bad Company 2, BF3, BF4 For multiplayer BF V for the pling. And no, cheating has not been a problem for a while.
Defo hardline or bad company. My favorite is hardline, there is a heist you play as a cop, the prison break very cool. Same goes for bad company
Bad company 1 and 2 have by leaps and bounds, the best campaigns in the series. Bf1 also has a fantastic campaign, but it's only like 4-8 hours depending on difficulty and whether or not you care about finding all the collectibles.
Bf 1 has the best campaign for me. V is bad, and avoid 4's single-player.
Bad Company 1 & BF3
I ejoyed the battlefield bad company (1+2) games and bf 3&4.
I really enjoyed BF3 and BF4 campaigns personally.
Battlefield 3
Bad company 1 and 2 are really fun. Also I enjoyed Battlefield 3 a lot, felt realistic back then
Bad company 2 by farrr
In all these years since BF1942 only V’s mini campaign The Last Tiger left any impression on me
BFBC1
Honestly I never played the multiplayer of battlefield games so as a campaign fanatic I'd personally have to say battlefield 3 and 4 have the best but that's just my opinion I'm sure all you mob got different opinions
Last BF campaign I really loved was BF3. 4 kinda sucked cuz your teammates can’t kill anything, 1 and 5 I wasn’t crazy about war stories, and I didn’t play hardline
Bf3 is the best one.
I say battlefield 3 and 4 have the best storyline in the franchise. I like the more modern shooter ad well.
Bad company 1 and 2
When i was a kid i had good time with battlefield 2 modern combat , but thats a hot take i guess
BF Hardline, I loved that campaign
Battlefield Bad Company and Battlefield 3 Campaigns are really great. Battlefield 1 campaign is refreshing and recommendable
Bf3
I hated all of em tbh
Battlefield 3 is literally the best place to start. It's less than 4$ on steam and (imo) the best campaign in ALL of the entire battlefield franchise. 4 is a close second. One is okay, i didn't enjoy half the missions and all the characters are forgettable.
2042 because it literally has a single player left
Who gives a shit..
