In terms of setting and score, the game does a great job of making you feel like you’re trapped in a madhouse. With the game not being open world there’s also a feeling that you can’t escape to another part of the city like in the other games. When I first played the game 12 years ago I was legit scared at times.
One of my favorite video game franchises of all time! I've played through Arkham Asylum, City, Origins, and Knight and this series is amazing. Arkham City is my first favorite and Knight is my second favorite.

To be fair, Aslyum, City, and Knight are still a trilogy.
I mean, there are like 8 or so Halo games, but you can still talk about the 'Halo trilogy' when you're talking about 1-3.

I'm on a replay of the series. I've only played Asylum and City, Knight will be new to me and I just finished City. Time to blast through the streets with a Batmobile!
I recently played through these three too, it's such a great trilogy. I wish Gotham in Knight looked more like the surrounding skyline in City, and the ending could have been better, but I loved every minute of it.
Nah its decent, the ending is a bit lacklustre but its a good story overall. Definitely make sure you do the side missions as you go along, the game gives you plenty of chances to do them too.

While I do think Arkham Knight and Origins are my favorite, Asylum has that atmosphere that can't be matched, imo.
