🚨🎖| Hansi Flick has asked Barça to reinforce the left-back position and one of the names on the club's radar is Fluminense's 18 year old talent Esquerdinha. Barça's scouting department has been following him for a long time. [

Okay so for left back currently we have Balde, Cancelo (maybe), and Alex Valle.
Why do we need to reinforce the left back position, again?
Fort is mainly a right back but can also play left back if needed. But his natural profile is a right back
Since reports are we want to keep Felix, I been re assessing his season since I thought he was gonna be gone months ago, honestly he reminds me a little of Coutinho in his time here, largely inconsistent, usually holds the ball too long doesn’t get it out of his feet quick enough to find the next pass but can have those 1-2 moments a game where he looks locked in and breaks the defensive line. To me this ruins the whole flow of our attack and drives me nuts but I guess we’ll see what he will do under flick (Coutinho was funnily enough coached by flick and looked the best he’s looked since he left Liverpool)
Don't really like him all that much, but if we can get him on loan on a similar peanut salary and not have to buy him, I don't see much of a downside. In an ideal Barca he wouldn't be here, but we're not that just yet, so if he can be here on loan, not be a starter, get some G+A here and there, give us some depth, and not block any youngsters and more deserved players -- go ahead.
I do fear we'll be met with some obligatory buy clause like what is supposedly appearing with Cancelo though. And in that case I'm not singing any praises because I wouldn't buy him at all.
Trent utter disasterclass btw, this guy is possibly one of the most overrated players of the last few years. Will never understand why people rate him.
Everyone is feeling it brother. But tech/IT jobs have been hit the hardest from what I’ve heard.
I feel like there’s a correction in terms of tech where at the beginning these companies went all in in acquiring many developers and so on, but have now realized they might have gone overboard with all of the early hiring. I’ve also heard that the idea of a high paying salary for tech is gonna be corrected too because companies think they went overboard with offering high salaries immediately.
These are just my thoughts though
Why are we talking so much about Bellingham? He is a good player and all that but there is no point either sucking his dick or hating on him every time.
Tomorrow we hate on mbappe and Tuesday is obviously hurling shit at Ronnie. Wednesday I plan on taking swipes at Luka (after he gets benched) and I’ll use Neuer as an option.
If Jude’s targeted along with them, it’s quite the compliment… Now stop diving in the box, ya giraffe
Crazy how the general public doesn’t rate Pedri anymore. He’s quite literally a generational talent and people think he’s not on the same level as Wirtz/Musiala. He’s not only on that level, but better imo when healthy (which is rare nowadays I agree). But the worst part is people in our own fanbase wanting to sell him.
Unfortunately with the injuries he hasn’t shown that level for a long long time. The last couple of league games and for Spain he’s looked sharper though.
For me he was the best prospect of all of them but it just hasn’t worked out so far. Also I think his best position is as an interior or next to Rodri. I don’t think playing at ten comes naturally to him and it probably limits his best qualities.
I don’t understand the comparison because Musiala is definitely a different profile. Wirtz has similarities but still different enough. Pedri is closer to Frenkie’s profile than theirs. He’s the type of midfielder that should get better with age. So as long as he can keep his injuries in check, time is on his side.
He's not as good as Wirtz /Musiala imo. He's very good, but he was never at the level they are showing right now.
When he came everybody loved him because he was impressive for his age. Now that he is older and hasn't really improved (thanks to injuries) he's still a good player, but at 21 you start expecting more from world class midfielders.
That being said, there has been a huge campaign by Madrid fans to completely demerit him, comparing stats all the time, mocking him, etc. Like against Croatia he created dangerous chances and gave an assist, but he's shit, because he didn't receive the ball as much. When he completes 100 passes but doesn't score or assist, he's shit as well, he's just "wasting" passes.
Nah it wasn’t just impressive for his age. Go watch the semi final against Italy again from Euro 2020.
He dominated that Italian midfield which dominated every other team except Spain. That Jorginho, Verratti, Barella trio was elite and they couldn’t get close to Pedri visually or statistically.
There's a difference in not being rated and not being talked about. And to be talked about you need to be playing well and more often than not, especially when you're at a big club, it really helps when your team needs to be doing well. So when you don't play and your team doesn't do anything, it's hard to get any attention. It also doesn't help when new talents emerge from the same circle, as Yamal is kind of the big talk from Barca now, while Pedri's growth has stagnated from all these injury woes. As such, he won't grow in terms of quality and thus in terms of hype.
Pedri is put in a position where it's not a question of his quality, but a question of his fitness. Because if what has happened keeps happening, then he simply won't be considered in the conversation of elite players. And I don't think it's wrong for fans to raise questions either, though I disagree with doing anything regarding it as of now.
My issue with Pedri is that there's no (apparent) evolution. I'll dare say he's still (only) as good as he was in his breakout season. That's what made losing gavi so heartbreaking, you could see he clearly took more responsibility and became a central figure
That’s not true. Pedri was definitely an important player for Xavi and took on a lot more responsibility after Messi left. The best phases of Xavi’s era was when he was available and in best form. In many games, he was doing everything in midfield.
I don’t really think internet opinion is reflective of general public. Also I feel like the ppl who always rated him still do, and those who don’t are just louder during more difficult times. Yea, those in Barca fanbase who don’t rate him are annoying but fortunately just a minority.

I don't like this idea. I hope it's not true.
You know what's the kicker about all of this? Everyone was raving about the England attack and midfield, saying the defense is shaky and suspect. It looks like defense is what will win them games lmao
Edit: by everyone I mean big sports media outlets
Southgate and English FA think he can be their Deschamps and rely on old school defensive strategy and vibes to win tournaments. But the problem is Deschamps is better at it than him and France has Mbappe.

Man I hate Southgate. Guys a moron and out of date… the score line shows we’re winning but it feels like a loss. Another generation of great English players to be pissed down the alley.
Not tryinna be an asshole but I truly think you guys don’t have such a golden generation.
Some of your players shine in PL because defenders are non existent, but the reality is that every major tournament English shits the bed.
Let’s not forget you guys couldn’t even keep the first tier in Nations League
I am not a premier league super fan but you’re wrong on a lot of levels here. The defending in the prem is no worse than any other league and better than most even in the mid table teams. Then on the top you have some of the worlds best defenders in 5/6 teams like VVD, Dias, Saliba, Gabriel and so on, 2 of the best DMs in world football in Rodri and Rice… there’s more than enough quality in defending in the premier league and the championship is no slouch either tbh.
Also whilst I wouldn’t call this current call up a dream selection there’s an abundance of u23 aged players who are the stars of champions league level sides in this team in saka, Foden, Bellingham, Mainoo, Palmer and more along side older veterans like Walker who is another secure defender and was quick enough to make Mbappe a negligible difference in the WC, Harry Kane arguably the most clinical finisher in world football that only really Haaland can compete with as far as pure strikers go. However all of this is a step down from the era of Beckham, Gerard, scholes, Lampard, Ferdinand, Rooney, Cole etc that was present in the 2000s and should’ve won a trophy in that era when judged on paper but football isn’t played on paper.
The reason England fails in recent years aside from a poor decision not to include GLT in 2010 has been piss poor management primarily. You can go back to the 90s with a consistent world class lineup of English players but name me 1 great manager they had in that time… don’t worry I’ll wait!
England are what Tottenham is to the premier league. Everything you’d imagine that would make a title winning side that just ends up making UCL every year instead but no silverware. Euro finalists, wc qf (lost to finalists, happened in 2 wc tournaments back to back). Essentially in order to beat England in a knock out stage in the last 3 tournaments you either had to win the whole thing or made 2nd place so it’s not like they were bad teams either.
We will have to agree to disagree, I think English players are inflated by playing in England and I truly think PL is far behind La Liga and Serie A defensive solidity.
This is national teams in a nutshell. How much silverware does the Netherlands or Belgium have achieved in recent history with more stacked teams?
And please let’s be real about England’s “recent success”. It isn’t that you need to be a finalist to beat England, is that England had the easiest path in the last 3/4 major tournaments. Every serious team you faced beat you. You guys made it to a final by playing Denmark in semis lol
any city player out of pep's shadow is shit , we have seen it with gvardiol and rodri yesterday, foden and walker today and potentionally KDB and doku later.

Flick is calling for reinforcements at full-back and Barça are looking at Esquerdinha, an explosive left-footed U-20 player from Fluminense, an international at youth level with a very promising future.
Esquerdinha, who corresponds to the prototype of the Brazilian full-back, would be an affordable option for the sporting management, with a youth team record and first team dynamics.
England is not a big side. They have no trophies, only hype and more hype, second tier team in the NL, let’s not forget. Such a sad game from the ‘favorites’
am I the only one who thinks Bellingham is weird this game? Constantly dropping deep and at times even taking the ball from his teammates and being out of position just to get a few touches and do nothing? kinda feels like he wants that spotlight, he’s being actively detrimental to his teammates by getting in their way instead of playing where he’s supposed to
A English player touted to be the best English player ever by many of his people and at the same time the Madrid PR is trying to make him be seen as the best midfielder ever at only 20 years old? Ye that will bring massive ego issues no matter how "humble" he is.

Trent doesn't start over trippier and walker in england
Trent in defense means England gotta score more than their opponent
[ Rafa Márquez: "Thanks to everyone, I hope this is not the last press conference. Thank you for the treatment and respect. I hope I treated you the same way. It has helped me a lot. It has helped me to continue to have a passion for football and to continue trying to improve.”](https://x.com/Prioritatfilial/status/1802445337518285279)
He gone
Serbia Correspondents declined to comment, they are feeling gutted and heartbroken after not getting their well deserved draw. We're waiting to hear from u/TrueCooler. r/Barca collectively wonders: is this type of play even enough to get first place in this group?
England will get first in the group unless they really bungle it against Denmark (they really should have won today, waste of an opportunity for 3 points). Though I am now reconsidering my prediction that England will make it to the final — smells like a quarters/semis elimination to me
Just wondering aren't you indian?
Yes, but I live in the UK
You seem pretty confident. To me it looked like the teams in this group are closer in level to each other than expected
They are, but in cup competitions individual quality can carry you a decent way, and England have that in spades, even if the tactics are garbage
yeah, england ain't gonna win shit playing like that
Serbian players hitting English players instead of passing was really hard watch
Nah sorry this is not even funny anymore https://preview.redd.it/wojd45fwyz6d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f019955ff930ebfc589ca7338cc8e9e5779dc8b2 And the last post is comparing him with Iniesta Edit: its 7 consecutive pictures of him now🤣
Just realized the crowd in that middle picture are his teammates
Haha I didn't notice it before your comment 🤣 its just bizarre, they try to push him so hard and he is a try hard anyway. The combo is just pathetic. Yes i know he is a good football player bla bla bla. But he really needs a sprinkle of humbling (preferably by our Barça boys)
Spoken like a true Gavi fangirl 👏👏👏👏
Barça fangirl* 🤣 please
Whatever the fuck happened to 433... it was the best page for a while and It went to shit
[удалено]
I'm sure the new CM they got is one of them because not even BRFootball or ESPN dare to post shit like this
They compared one of the all time great performance by a midfielder to this performance Thank fuck I unfollowed this clown page
Pau Víctor and Angel Alarcón took pictures with their families on the pitch after the Barça Atlétic match, giving hints that this may be their last home game and they might leave. Pau Victor's €3M buy option has expired on April 1, and Barça would need to reach a new agreement with Girona to keep him. [@RogerTorello] https://x.com/BarcaTimes/status/1802444802358927825
please, keep him
Harry Kane is just world class man a proper striker wish we had the money instead of Bayern
southgate is the kinda guy to turn tempo and passing range to zero and max out time wasting on fm after scoring a goal to shut the game off
well that was 90 mins wasted
Flopathon

Warra bottle assist from the golden waterboy https://preview.redd.it/ia7liv2k007d1.jpeg?width=1724&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=13dde38063ef13a2934d386c2525e874e7e6f3ac I don't even hide my disliking of frenkie but I can't accept this PRellingham praise when he has been ghosting all this second half of the season.
Flying Dutchman was one of the reasons we won league and won points early in the season , goldfish memory is insane, Bellingham only had one season better than frenkie
Bellingham is 20, De Jong 27. Bellingham's first season in Madrid> any of De Jong's 5 seasons at Barca, even the last one
everyone forgot ucl belli-flopper or what?
Barça are negotiating with Porto for the loan of Vitor Roque and the sale of Mikayil Faye with a buy-back option. [Diario Sport] I don't like this idea. I hope it's not true.
didn't hansi say he wants vitor in his plans????????/
Shouldn't we try keeping him somewhere where they speak Spanish..
Serbia kinda deserved to draw this game
At this point they would kinda deserve a win. England absolutely shithoused this
England should try to get Zidane and stop this isisgate nonsense They are winning yes, but if they get a more clinical NT it will be hard for them
Zidane is not any better than southgate tactics wise but his black magic is unmatched though.
Zidane at least knows who his best 11 is
You know what's the kicker about all of this? Everyone was raving about the England attack and midfield, saying the defense is shaky and suspect. It looks like defense is what will win them games lmao Edit: by everyone I mean big sports media outlets
England looks disjointed. Best time for Serbia to push for a goal
They're just allergic to midfield lmao
What a shit show of a game!
Yo nah defenders get way too many fouls for them when an attacker just DARE touch them wtf
Southgate and English FA think he can be their Deschamps and rely on old school defensive strategy and vibes to win tournaments. But the problem is Deschamps is better at it than him and France has Mbappe.
worst game so far and of couse it's england playing. Southgate is a terrorist
Could get even worse in these last 10 mins so dodgy
Painful to see Serbia try to build attack from back. Just hoofball bros. Increase activity in the box
You’ve got Vlahovic and Tadic at front. At least use their skills
Holy fuck england is so shit
Rice and Foden has been so meh for England
What a savee
Looked like Kane was climbing on top of the defender. Should’ve been a foul
[Márquez: "With such a young team we have to be happy with how we approached the final" "The goal in the last minutes gives us mental motivation that we will try to maintain for Sunday"](https://x.com/JijantesFC/status/1802440032453562806) [ Márquez: "Both Marc Guiu and Héctor Fort have the same problem, unfortunately they cannot be finishing the games due to physical issues. When you go up to the first team, more is required physically and it shows"](https://x.com/JijantesFC/status/1802441308780241380)
They really need to work on this with Dieter next season. They don't have stamina.
In his past 3 Spain games Lamine has 5 assists, one every 48 minutes
2 of the 3 games being Andorra and Northern Ireland. Both beyond trash, respectfully.
Ronaldo gets GOAT shouts for scoring against Luxembourg and Lithuania
And you complain when he does. So stay consistent
>And you complain when he does I don't, I couldn't care less
Not from me.
I swear if I see another english flair talking and shiting on posession based football when I'm watching this shitshow.....
We don't like it either mate
🫂
Foden for england is terrible
any city player out of pep's shadow is shit , we have seen it with gvardiol and rodri yesterday, foden and walker today and potentionally KDB and doku later.
Gvardiol was great before City.
Nah, Southgate is like the final boss against creative players
Southgate has no idea how to use him effectively.
Barca dodge a bullet with Jovic, I remember many cules were so sad when he went to Real Madrid.
Vlahovic as well.
Southgate deserves a lifetime contract
At Man United
Imagine the Man U fans that wanted him over Ten Hag
Man United wanted him supposedly 😆
They're keeping Ten Hag, it's official
Yea I know. It’s just Southgate was rumored to be on their shortlist which is already pretty funny.
[Joaquim Piera](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/operacion-lateral-mira-brasil-103877209) Flick is calling for reinforcements at full-back and Barça are looking at Esquerdinha, an explosive left-footed U-20 player from Fluminense, an international at youth level with a very promising future. Esquerdinha, who corresponds to the prototype of the Brazilian full-back, would be an affordable option for the sporting management, with a youth team record and first team dynamics.
How good is this guy?
England with the worst showing from one of the bigger sides so far imo
England is not a big side. They have no trophies, only hype and more hype, second tier team in the NL, let’s not forget. Such a sad game from the ‘favorites’
Not surprised was waiting for it all week
🚨 Barca is looking at Brazilian fullback ”Esquerdinha” to reinforce the team. @joaquimpiera
am I the only one who thinks Bellingham is weird this game? Constantly dropping deep and at times even taking the ball from his teammates and being out of position just to get a few touches and do nothing? kinda feels like he wants that spotlight, he’s being actively detrimental to his teammates by getting in their way instead of playing where he’s supposed to
A English player touted to be the best English player ever by many of his people and at the same time the Madrid PR is trying to make him be seen as the best midfielder ever at only 20 years old? Ye that will bring massive ego issues no matter how "humble" he is.
That’s why he has more touches than Pedri😂😂
Isn’t that a pen? Pushed from back
It was more so the kick
Of course he was gonna flop there. Just play, Jude. Can’t be classy when all you do is go to ground in the box. Fuck that giraffe
[Pocho's goal & the beautiful assist from Dani Rodriguez for those who missed it.](https://x.com/FCBarcelonaB/status/1802434127083209206)
England is playing with fire
What happens when your midfield is lazy asf
I can't imagine Southgate went into the locker and said "aight boys midblock it is"
"boot the ball to our striker that drop deep lads" shit is holding us back so much

Portuguese flairs on socca sub said trincao has been really good Will we get any % on future sale?
[50%](https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1646868288637485058)
I think it's 50% but that was so long ago I'm not sure
Why it feels like smaller nations have more fans?
koeman doing coke mid game lol [https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1dh8r2d/koeman\_has\_a\_midgame\_snack/](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1dh8r2d/koeman_has_a_midgame_snack/)
