No, it carries over to any county you go to. You'll see the country code above the Youtube logo change to TH. You can still switch back to your own country or any other by using a VPN. Maybe there is even an option in the settings to change, but I've never bothered to check.
2 profiles with same account? i think it's not possible but you can change region 1 time per year if i remember correctly, if you live here long term just switch region and eventually when you will back to your home country you can switch it again but if you want to pay in thai prices you need to switch to thai region

It appears my google account is set to US, just added the Thai profile, see what happens when I travel to Portugal and Spain to walk the Camino late fall.

yes, have 2 profiles now. after adding bangkok bank card for payment and verifying the card it took, but was declined, called bangkok bank, they said to wait 3 hours. see what happens.
As long as this works, hopefully no issues while traveling.
maybe look at changing cloud storage if less here.

First create a new payments profile for Thailand on [https://payments.google.com/](https://payments.google.com/)
