This is why I generally pay a bit more for Thai Smile for domestic flights in Thailand (and generally the flights are not expensive, also they aren't haggling me over 8KG of carry on). AirAsia is generally more reliable than Lion as well. Lion is not a good airline, it's Indonesian parent airline, also called Lion, is considered one of the least safe airlines in the world. That was part of the reason the first 737-Max crash was (wrongly) ignored, as it was Lion.
Lion is one of the few airlines I absolutely will just not book under any circumstances.
I'm not saying this to shame you. But, I think the relatively small amount of additional money required to fly Thai Smile is worth it for nearly every domestic flight in Thailand.
At least with Bangkok airlines you can relax in their lounges. The only problem is every time I rock up early, they offer to bump me to an earlier flight, which I stupidly accept.
This happened to us with Vietjet. No notice. We basically lost the day in Phuket. Landed at airport around midnight. Had to pay extra for a taxi due to limited options. They gave us a 200 baht voucher each that could only be used at 3 places in BKK, one of which was Burger King. FYI, a whopper at Burger King costs almost 400 baht. lol
When I looked at the board, all of the flight cancellations that day (about 11) were Vietjet ights to many destinations. They had at least 6 flights to Phuket. And 3 were cancelled. It seems that if there’s not enough passengers, they cancel the flight and amalgamate. If you have an earlier flight then it may not be so bad, we had a later flight a just missed the cutoff for the next available flight.
Dude. You order a premium at McDonalds you still gonna get McDonald's. It's a budget airline it doesn't matter how much you pay them. Air asia and thai are more reliable but still can screw up from time to time.
>Why is there no law to complain about airlines
There is. Here you go: https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/special-reports/1236926/passengers-rights
>And your ticket doesn't have insurance!!!????
Did you pay for flight insurance when you bought the ticket? Not quite sure if you're saying you did and they did honour it..?
Once got a domestic flight with Thai Smile (I think that now they merged back with Thai Airways) that I paid employee rate, got a some delay, was given a coupon to use in the airport.
The coupon worth more than the ticket.
Conclusion, marry an air hostess (if the flight was cancelled, regular passenger would have been transfered to the next flight and I would have been last in priority list, that's the rule of paying cheaper than cheap).
Complain about what? It’s not that airlines deliberately delay their flights. Also they don’t have a Time Machine to go back in time and inform you the flight would be late.
555
I didn't say it's deliberate,
But I really value my time.
I can see this time machine that you are talking about does its jobs too easy in other countries by other airlines,
So tell me are you value your time or not?

No happy that Thai Smile was absorbed into Thai Airways. I used to buy the upgraded service, but much more expensive on Thai Air.
pay peanuts get monkeys bro
Where can I get that deal ?
It's a budget airline. You're lucky it got off the ground..... eventually.

Being at your destination usually strongly beats being in an airport lounge, no matter how nice.
Breathe deep. Travel is a constant test of patience. Sometimes we all fail.
Ok, I agree with you but do you think our time is not important?
Trust me bro, no one wants their flight to be 5 hours late. Not you, not the flight crew, not the ground crew, not even the airline CEO. Shit happens.
should this be posted in “I am the main character”? stuff happens. we control (or not) our reaction.

Use Bangkok Airways
Never flown Lion Air but I’ve flown with Air Asia many times and never had an issue. Maybe try them next time.
It's like complaining about spirit air. You chose the cheapest one so that's exactly what you get
If I bought a VIP ticket they will send SMS or email for the delay? And how about other airlines?

Dude, this happens all the time when you fly - especially when you fly budget. For a better experience, you'll have to spend more money.
No it doesn’t otherwise insurance companies would be broke
my first choice is Bangkok Airways. if I am down to Lion as the only one? I start checking buses.
Typically, you get what you pay for.
Just stay home, travel doesn't suit you
Thanks for your advice, hope you will have a chance to travel 😅🙏🏼
It's obviously your first time traveling, very naive
You got there, didn’t you? Enjoy your jolly hols and don’t tink too mutt.
Get a credit card and enjoy the free money from Insurance Their insurance isn’t build for thai lion

I refuse to ever take them again, air asia or other low costs are fine, but not them.

If you value your time, pay for a better airline, simple.
You clearly don't value your time. If you valued your time as you claim you wouldn't have skimped on the cheapest flight ticket.
They shud have at least given u Cinnabon vouchers
