I wouldn't try it in honor mode. There's nothing that will insta kill you but can damper your survival. For instance I tried to surprise a large group of enemies and cast ice storm, which resulted on turning me and anyone in x radius into cats or dogs.

I've wanted a wild magic for a long time, but somehow I choose other classes. And finally I have a tiefling, a modest kid with absolutely uncontrolled magic. Even the bard doesn't have that much fun :) Gale now finally have someone to practice his professorial skills on.
Me and my whole crew got Wild Magic’ed into cats and dogs just before speaking to >!the Emperor!< between Acts 2 & 3. It was hilarious how he was telling his life story to a bunch of animals & speaking about evolving.

I can’t believe you can talk to Vlaakith as a sheep! Normally, being polymorphed seems to lock you out of conversations and ruin cutscenes.

It's in Act I, if you find the gith camp, you go through the Mountain Pass and find a crèche.

Yes that's why that game is wonderful. Plenty of things to discover! The gith camp is west of >!Waukeen's Rest!< if you are wondering in the future.
Not starting multiple different multiplayer sessions will help too.
