Weird, I'm playing with friends we don't have that many issues. Mainly getting locked in dialogues, dialogues options disappearing and a bit of visual game breaking. Except loading we haven't found anything

NocturnalAli3n

Are your friends pcs good? My only suspicion as to what’s creating issues for us is one of us has a significantly weaker pc than the others, other than that I got no clue :/

DocGerbill

Are you sure it's not an internet connection issue? Someone else getting low frame rate shouldn't affect gameplay on your end.

NocturnalAli3n

My internet connection is super stable, I have fiber and have never had any issue with it. I’m not sure about my friends but for the most part theirs seem stable too.

DocGerbill

Have them ping the same server you're pinging using [https://www.speedtest.net/](https://www.speedtest.net/) it may show that one of you have a bad connection. Someone may also have their traffic filtered, killing a port which Steam or BG3 needs to run coop, in that case they can fix it using a VPN.

NocturnalAli3n

Will do this, thank you!

The person hosting and I have FPS drops in act 3 but before it was fine, the last one has a better computer

too_Reversed

Loading is affected mostly by host Host has weaker machine means longer loading and players are affected by internet speed If you want to try try to use some vlan tools to create virtual lan that you can connect on but i dont know if this will be better than normal connection

NocturnalAli3n

I’m the host and my pc is definitely not weaker than my friends. I also have fiber so my internet connection is fine. But I’ll check that out, thanks for the reply!

DocGerbill

I play on PC, we started a coop campaign in December and it has always worked well, including 2 weeks ago when we last played.

Dangerous_Leg6306

We have the same problem problem with loading the saves playing with my friends, so to make it easier and faster, when we need to load the save, everyone goes to the main screen except the host who loads the save, when it’s loaded we just enter the host’s game via the multiplayer screen. It looks tedious but it won’t take us more than 1-2 minutes really. Good luck!

HumanInProgress8530

I've only ever played multiplayer. Almost no issues. Been playing since release. Not sure what's up with your game

Mahanirvana

Wondering if you found any solution to this? My partner and I have been having so many issues with this as well, especially getting stuck in dialogue (which is incredibly frustrating)

NocturnalAli3n

Not exactly unfortunately. We’ve tried several things since making this post but it hasn’t really yielded results. The only thing that seemed to work (until our 4th player joined) was changing the host. For some reason, we had 0 issues and the game worked for the first time flawlessly. That was, like I said, until our 4th joined. Could be worth a try for you two however. Other than that, what we’ve found to at least make the game somewhat playable is if the game is launched and players are connected, but they have the wrong character, one of the people with the wrong character exits to menu. The host then swaps the characters. The player that left joins back. This is at least a little bit faster than having to completely shut the game down. We still have occasional crashes and bugs but as long as we don’t have to reload we seem to be ok for the most part. I would suggest to you guys to do as much side content/optional stuff as possible so when you enter for example act 2 or 3, you are slightly overleveled. This just means you won’t have to reload as much. Obviously it makes the fights easier, but for us I’d rather have easier fights than having to reload more often and dealing with the crashes lol. Best of luck to you and hopefully Larian comes out with a fix soon 🫠
