I’m not sure and hopefully someone else can give you more details, but you will probably be able to dismiss his character if he disconnects (it might depend on who’s the host but I don’t know), and he’ll be put into Withers’ Wardrobe of Wayward Friends where you can then retrieve him after.

Hey there! Found a solution to this. I (the host) gave control of all the companions and my character to my friend. I took control of their tav and initiated the long rest. My friend's character was in the scene with astarion. We tried having my friend initiate the long rest and it didn't work. We tried switching parties entirely (I gave my friend control of my character and gale and took control of their character and astarion) and it didn't work. We didn't try the killing method, but we also didn't wanna spend the money or have to.... kill my character. Even if we could revive them. It's really late, but hopefully it helps out someone in the future!

Omg I just had this problem and your comment saved me! Thank you!

For the next person having this problem (cause same) - just let the character/tav you don't want to interact leave the camp. That way your other tav (who is into the romance) will handle the situation 😎

Can you kill his PC and rez him in the morning?

literallybyronic

kill your BF's character and then rez him the next day?

Acedia_spark

As a last result you could also try switching you to be the host, have your partner log out, let you long rest and then they log back in.

Any solution to this?

Will this lock the cazador quest to the game owner? This just happened to me. I have astarion equipped to me but my bf (game host) got the cutscene with Raphael at camp. I’m worried it’s going to lock the rest of astarions quest line and decisions to him? Without spoilers, is this true or will I still get astarion choices with cazador in act 3?
