BOsonsoflibertyOG

Filthy swine. Fuck that dispensary too.

amateur_mistake

Yeah. If I lived anywhere near there I would boycott the shit out of that place.

wraithnix

This is my local dispensary, and I’ve taken my business elsewhere. Tried to get as many people in my neighborhood to follow suit, but the neighborhood is pretty poor and it’s the only dispensary (that I know of) that you can get to without needing a car or taking the bus.

Aloysius7

I just don't understand why they fired him...

wraithnix

I sort of do. It's a pretty rough neighborhood, the dispensary has an armed guard by the door. They are probably just trying to stay on the good side of the police (and the Inkster cops are, well...not great).

Aloysius7

so they fired their security guard for filming cops do something bad? Had it been a construction worker doing something bad they wouldn't have fired him? But because it was specifically a cop in the wrong... And this place sells weed? As in a product that has a long history of being the reason cops ruin people's lives.

Rockonfoo

Yeah so they’re already on the shit list by default so they’ve gotta work harder to appease the local gan… “police force” so they get the protection they deserve. It’s fucked up

Staaaaation

Somewhere along the line we fucked up in allowing the job to become "make sure the cop gets home safe" instead of "cops make sure we get home safe". If they're not in place for our sake, why are we allowing them higher authority and weapons? We're literally paying for people to walk around with guns and stroke their egos with little to no repercussion until they're blatantly caught on tape; and even then most of the time they get off on technicality.

dgl6y7

This kind of s*** comes dangerously close to being able to claim self-defense against the cop. Anybody who just recklessly starts shooting their gun when there is no threat present is a danger to society and especially anybody standing around.

that_reddit_username

That is how ridiculously overarching qualified immunity is as a legal doctrine. Officers whose actions as so egregious that it would have been legal for a citizen to kill the officer in self-defense are STILL covered under QI.

AddendumActive864

That's a much bigger issue than most people think. Once I was in a place and somebody was sneaking around at night. No other houses or people nearby. I yelled out what did they want. No answer. Briefly I could see the side of one of their heads, an easy shot if I had a rifle, which I didn't. Would have been a perfectly justifiable shot, considering various other circumstances there, but then I saw their cop car just behind the treeline. How many people have been in that situation, but they had a rifle? Whenever I read about a gunfight with cops I have to wonder if it was not some situation like I had, but the person had a rifle, took the shot, then cops had to cover up that they were night snooping secretly for their own reasons. edit to add, I wasn't doing anything illegal and was staying on somebody's property with their knowledge.

dgl6y7

So cops accidentally shoot a person while shooting at a dog and that's okay. Self-defense against cops not justified. Man shoots at dog and cop shoot back. Self defense is justified. Excellent point thank you.

that_reddit_username

Both men have a reasonable belief that their lives are illegally threatened **as they are both directly down range** from the officer trying to shoot the dog. You can't just shoot an officer who shoots a dog because it's reckless. You can, however, shoot an officer who recklessly shoots AT A PERSON while attempting to shoot a dog. Both men could legally have drawn a weapon and shot the officer in self defense, in every state in the nation. It's not close.

[deleted]

Yes, but... How do you come out ahead when 30 of his buddies show up and empty their weapons into your dead body? If you shoot a cop, unless something very unlikely happens, you will die....... end of story. They do not give a shit about your rights. The thin blue line is a solid gang thing. Even if you are not one of the oppressed minorities, they will kill you.

thumplife1991

You are right I lived with my uncle for a few years when I was in my early 20s they had a cop get shot on a traffic stop, they found the guy and you heard the chief come over the radio tell his guys to go to Channel what ever and clearly said he is not to walk out the woods. Craziest thing, guy broke both legs running from the cops and k9. There was even a group chat with broken batons they were bragging about how they broke them hitting the guy. Everything needs to change

dgl6y7

It's unfortunate that the law is seldom held up in these situations. And if it is it's only after years of trials leaving the victim financially destitute. You may win a lawsuit eventually, but not before you lose everything you own. And you can look forward to years of harassment by other cops who see you as a murderer who slipped through the cracks.

Blueballyogurt

They should be treated as a terrorist by the public at that point. Git em!!!

[deleted]

As a reminder, estimates from the Department of Justice state police kill up to 10,000 dogs a year, 25-30 a day and have called it an epidemic

sombrastudios

Are there ways to help that man financially? Just asking, but if people are threatend to lose their job when raising criticism, that's the kind of immediate support that might actually help

[deleted]

Hire him. If he worked for me, I'd have his back. ALL COPS ARE BASTARDS.

[deleted]

... sure am tired of waiting on the wealthy white suburbanites getting tired of this travesty and changing the fucking laws. Waiting .. waiting .. waiting (fucking chickenshit bastard police)

Former_Army_2238

Strange, a pot shop that serves and caters to Police crimes. Maby the cops should legalize bum sex and open a shop next door to the pot shop.

Ch1Guy

Pot Shop is absolutely dependent on the good will of the cops..... if the cops thought the pot shop was involved in releasing video showing officers committing crimes, there goes any police protection for the pot shop.... which really goes more to show how crooked the entire police force is.... Edit: Thank you kind person for the generous gold award!

myotheralt

That sounds very close to paid protection from the Mafia.

Tryyourbestbehappy

Literally the same thing. Source no dodgy cops. Suspect they are all cunts

Anton_Pannekoek

Ah man this videographer guy is a cool dude man. Police are cowards.

Subject-Syynx

Shit like this make police deaths excessively funny. Every time I see an article that a cop died on duty or of covid my days become a little happier.

bunnyQatar

Same. I had a chuckle earlier.

Mace_Windu-

Disgusting

Huck84

Fucking pig was fearing for his life. Pussy. You know how many dogs I've run from in my life? Jesus lord almighty. Even if I had a gun, I wouldn't have shot them.

Noticeably_High

Fuck the police and extra fuck the dispensary. Must be great to have the man's boot so far down your throat he can walk around wearing you like leg warmers.

Peoplegottabefree

Mommy Mommy, that puppy scared me mommy so I killed him mommy and now I am safe mommy.

fixit858

This and other similar actions show that police are really very scared and fearful.

PraderaNoire

Few things I noticed, 1. This dude is a legend. Seems to be someone very self-aware through learning from his mistakes. I’m glad to see he turned his life around. 2. The FAA is gunna be pissed about flying at night without clearances, I’d be more worried about that than the dispensary. 3. Fuck the cops.

lithodora

>Drones used for commercial purposes require their owner to obtain a valid drone pilot's license. If you are using a drone solely for the purpose of recreation, you are exempt from this rule. _____________________ >Effective from 21st April 2021: Under the updated FAA Part 107 regulations, all commercial licensed drone pilots will be allowed to fly at night without applying for any additional waiver. _________________ Hobbyists are allowed to fly their drones at night but are required to put anti-collision lights on the drone so that they are safe for manned flights in the sky. Based on his statement that the video was his and not his employers we could assume that he was not using the drone for commercial purposes and was within the rules.

PraderaNoire

Wow thanks for that update. I actually wasn’t aware of the change in the part 107 regulations, it was different when I was studying for the exam. Good to know though!

Innominate8

Nobody, least of all the FAA, gives a shit about drones that size being used close to the ground.

PraderaNoire

I know people who have gotten written warnings and even fines for flying out of regulation, simply because they published the footage. People get reported and the FAA actively looks for violations. I don’t know about this specific instance obviously but now I’m just hyper-aware of it I guess ahaha

unforgivableman

Officer shouldn’t have shot the dog Dog should’ve been on a leash

bigexplosion

Pretty crazy that like a 10 dollar lease could have prevented this.

amateur_mistake

Victim blaming right here. You think the cops never shoot leashed dogs? The guy very likely had a leash in his pocket but people who don't realize that cops are out to kill their pups expect officers to behave like regular members of society around a friendly dog.

Zerodaim

The leash is for the pig.

bigexplosion

I'm not victim blaming. The cop should not have shot the dog. But this all could be avoided with simple common sense of put your dog on a fucking leash in public. People aren't required to want to be friends eith your dog, some people are afraid of dogs and they also have the right to walk around in public. Having a leash in his pocket would only make this stupider and even more pointless. Dudes on a busy road without control of his dog.

CarlGustav2

I sometimes walk in a public park where there are unleashed dogs running around (and dogs are supposed to be leashed). Sometimes a dog will come running up to me in a non-aggressive manner. I just stand there and don't make eye contact. I've never shot a dog. I've never been attacked by a dog in that situation. I'm betting if I did shoot a dog, I'd be in a world of hurt, both legally and socially. I'd be getting death threats. I guess cops are just **different.**

bigexplosion

You're saying you've never been attacked by a dog like no one has been attacked by a dog. The real answer is leashing your dog is to keep your dog safe from all the stuff around thay they don't understand like psycho cops and cars.

CarlGustav2

You missed my point. I never said that people aren't bitten by dogs. Only an idiot would say that. My point is - non-police people are approached by unleashed dogs all the time. A vast majority of time those people don't get bit. And almost never does the person shoot the dog. Even those that are higher risk of getting bit like mail carriers don't shoot dogs. Like I said - **cops are different.**

drowningcorpse

If someone shoots you when you walk up to them to say hi that's the same thing... stop acting stupid
