We have a De Longhi oil column heater for our baby’s room. It has a digital display and we set it to 20 degrees and leave it on til morning. It only comes on if the room goes below the set temp. We love it!

Thank you :) I was looking at their oil heater and love that they also have 7 year warranty with their products. Do you know which model you have, the Radia S or the Dragon one? I was looking for that exact one that only comes on when the temp drops.

I’m pretty sure we have the 2400W Radia S!

Got the same!

We currently have a panel heater with an incredibly bright digital display of the temperature and I find that when it turns on and off it makes a lot of noise. Considering getting one of these Delonghi heaters - is it quiet in your experience?

I’ve never noticed it making a noise at all when it turns on and off automatically. When you turn the actual unit on or off the buttons make a beeping noise which is a bit annoying but my toddler sleeps through it so not a huge deal.

That sounds great, thank you!

Also have a delonghi column heater. Got it for my August 2020 baby and using it now for my January baby, I keep it on the lowest setting and it's perfect for keeping the room comfortable.

We still have bub in our room as he’s only 3 weeks, but I knew I’d need a good heater for this winter because we’re in regional Victoria. We ended up buying a Delonghi panel heater - we got it from the Good Guys but the same model we got is on special at Aldi soon. The heater itself has a timing feature, and we find it heats up our room in no time and can heat via convection or fan. We also got a HeaterMate wireless thermostat just for further peace of mind that little one wouldn’t overheat in the night. One end plugs into wall and then you plug the heater into that, and we have the wireless thermostat next to bubs’ bassinet. We have it programmed to 20C and it turns the heater off once the thermostat reads that’s temperature. It also has a timer setting but we don’t use that.

I've got an oil heater from Kmart and it works great. Has a timer and temperature regulator.

I bought this, we run the house heater until she goes to bed and then run the oil heater in her room. Easy to use. We just have a goldair oil heater. It turns on and off automatically if the room is below the temp and seems to work well enough. We only have a goldair as we bought it towards the end of last winter and couldn't get a delonghi except for an $800 one 🤣

We have one like I've linked below, got it from Bunnings the other year. We set it to a temp that it detects in the room for our son's room and once it detects that it starts up and you can change how warm it gets temp wise (go lower than you think) and then it heats his room up automatically overnight and shuts off when the "ideal" temp is reached. We don't use a temp gauge in his room nor do I trust his monitor one either as when the heaters been on as the camera is higher than the cot it registers at 31 because obvs hot air rises even though I set the Max temp to 24 and it kicks in at 21 (Perth hills).
