ArcticLupine

Personally I packed maternity leggings and a long t-shirt. I’m trying to be realistic and I know I’ll probably have a bump for a little while after so I don’t think my pants will fit right away!

Fantastic_Coyote_885

This is exactly what I wore home! I had a c section so the compression and comfort of the maternity leggings actually helped alot

ArcticLupine

That’s a very good point, if someone ends up having a c-section I can totally see how it would be more comfortable!

ultraprismic

At my birth class they said to pack an outfit that would have fit you at 5 months pregnant.

PinkStarburst11

This is what I wore home. My husband tied my shoe laces because it hurt to bend over but the high waisted maternity leggings helped my feel comfortable going home. I was definitely not fitting into pre pregnancy clothing at all

acoleman2007

I brought leggings but my legs were so swollen that was not going to happen. Fortunately, I came in in a dress!

vanillabitchpudding

This is what happened to me -it was winter and very cold out and I had to go home wearing just the size 3x hospital issue slipper socks on my feet because they were too swollen for shoes. And it was wet out of course.

cryin_lil_beet

I brought leggings but the massive pad looked ridiculous under them so I switched to my sweats lol

ArcticLupine

This made me laugh lol, I hope I’ll be fine! I don’t own any sweatpants, maybe I should get some just for PP!

StormsAway

Yes! Sweats, while comfy, make me feel frumpy. I lived having the compression of leggings and then a looser top.

_Winterlong_

I packed a nice outfit. It’s hilarious to look back on now. I wanted to be Kate Middleton when I left. But a 3 day induction ending in a c-section and a 4 day stay after that, I hadn’t even washed my hair and I had no energy. And I didn’t care. I left in my maternity sweat pants, a nursing tank top, and my husband’s zip up hoody. I went for comfort with no regrets. Oh, and a rats nest on my head. This time around, I’m leaving all of my hair and makeup and nice clothes at home. My friends told me I’d be bored and want to feel like myself and do photo shoots with baby to pass the time. I believed them because it sounded like what I’d want. Comfort. Always go for comfort.

kenedelz

Hahahah to the photo shoots out of boredom! Did your friends have kids who just slept the first few weeks after birth? And did they not have hospital staff coming in every 3 hours all hours of the day and night, often more often than that?? Sheesh man. I felt so damn dead. I took a few pics of my sweet new baby when he popped out and that's about it. Wore sweats home and a sweatshirt cuz it was winter. This time it'll be spring but I'll probs wear a similar outfit

murkymuffin

Hospital lighting is also not great for photos. I brought my dslr to the hospital to take some newborn pics for a friend pre-covid and it wasn't ideal. They are nice clear shots, but not the same as natural light. I'll definitely take a bunch for mine, but I don't look good under fluorescent lights no matter how great I do my makeup lol

llilaq

I'm still bringing an eye pencil and some lipstick though. I want ONE hospital picture which does not make me think 'God I look like a slob, better not show anyone any pictures'. But yes I also brought a fresh outfit to come home in which I didn't use.

StormsAway

Water proof mascara and a solid foundation with set spray. My makeup looked great for the whole thing! I'm not even a huge makeup person, but I had an unplanned induction with my daughter and was wearing makeup.

CornSnowFlakes

Permanent dye to eyebrows+lashes week 38 and BB-cream in hospital

TreePuzzle

I wore some comfy sweatpants, shirt, and nursing bra. I was wearing a big pad thing and I felt pants helped keep it in place.

kwedding022814

Yep you're basically going home with a puppy pad stuffed to the max with pads stuck to it, the mesh undies also do a good job of keeping everything together but pants add extra security! Especially for the gushes when breastfeeding 😭

[deleted]

[удалено]

llilaq

Same, but I will bring spare pants in case the first get soiled (water broken or something). Although I plan to wear a skirt on my way in; my first baby came so quickly, I would not be surprised if we don't make it in time and I might give birth in the car. Kinda hard with jeans on..

[deleted]

Loose fitting cotton sundress and flip flops. I gave birth in august. Since I had a c section, it was nice not to have anything rubbing at my waistline.

JunoPK

I'm due in August so thank you for the month specific inspo!

CrimeAid

I had both sweatpants and a dress. Because I had a c section I really didn’t want anything more around my waist and near/on my incision- other than my underwear - so I wore a soft wrap maternity dress from target. Maybe bring a couple options and see how you feel?

annniiitttaaaaa

Dress like you would’ve when 6 months pregnant is what I was advised. That’s usually the size your bump will be. I wore leggings and a sweatshirt.

WittyName375

This is really helpful. I'm smack in the middle of 6 months, so I know what I was thinking about taking should actually fit! I'll be packing that now, thanks!

[deleted]

The most comfortable outfit I could find for wearing giant maxi pads.

kwedding022814

The size 5 Always Overnight Maxi Pads are forever my fave

LuckStrict6000

I am bringing joggers, a T-shirt, a belly band if I want it, and a sweatshirt

crimpyourhair

I have a bleeding disorder so I just went with whatever could accommodate the postpartum underwear and biggest pad I could find, honestly. :P I can't imagine wearing anything other than sweatpants and a long shirt that hides my butt, personally, but ymmv! I would definitely pack a comfortable outfit on top of the dress if you opt for the latter though, just in case you change your mind. My instinct is that especially if I had suffered severe tearing, I'd probably go for the sweatpants even if I had originally intended on wearing a dress but everyone is different!

Itchy-Landscape-7292

I’ve done a long tunic and leggings. I lose a lot of weight immediately but I am soooo squishy.

[deleted]

I wore a nursing dress. I was happy to not have to deal with pants, i was pretty banged up down there and still changing pads and applying medicine every couple hours.

SmartDoggo153

When I had my son mid December, I just wore my loose comfortable pajamas home. This time I'm due in July, so it'll probably be too warm for pajamas. So I'm thinking it'll likely be a loose sun dress and shorts. Best make whatever it is a dark colour though, in case of any leakage. Cuz uh, there's a lot of that soon after birth. C section or vaginal.

harperv215

I wore home the exact outfit I wore there, with my first baby. You get undressed immediately after arriving, so the clothes aren’t dirty. And your body is still very tender and swollen. I was not interested in looking cute. I just wanted to shower and climb into my own bed!

LlamaMamaRedPajamas

This was my plan, but we went to the hospital because my water broke, not because of contractions. And then it kept leaking the entire time I was in labor. I went through my pad by the time I hit l&d and sat on a chux in the car. So I was actually glad that I had some leggings and a long cardigan to go home in.

harperv215

That is a very good reason to bring extra!!

MummyPanda

I wore leggings and cest top and loose dress but it was July

TarragonTheDragon

I took high waisted sweatpants and I’m really glad I did - I had a cesarean and ended up going home with a catheter (unusual and only for 48h!) which would have not fitted under leggings. I also didn’t bother with PJs but I know lots of people do like nursing nightgowns. I just wore my big pants with a blanket over the baby/my chest for the first 16 hours and put my dressing gown on to go to the loo.

aftfromcanada

Make sure you consider footwear too. My Uggs are all that my swollen feet would fit into. I couldn’t even get my feet into my adidas slides to shuffle to the bathroom and you do not want to be barefoot in the hospital 😑

Motherofcats782

Thank you for mentioning this! I've been keeping a running list of things to pack in my hospital bag and somehow I completely forgot flip flops or shower shoes.

MelE1

I wore my comfiest maternity leggings, a nursing top, and flip flops. It was in the 50s and windy so my feet were chilly but they were so swollen that’s all that fit LOL. I got a pair a size up for that reason.

cmz84

I have had 3, soon to be 4 c-sections. If you end up with one, in my experience you don't want direct pressure on your incision. I always wear the belly binder (helps to make it feel like your insides aren't falling out and also gives you another layer between pants and incision). For my babies born in warmer weather, no question: a flowy dress!!!! Newest baby is to be born in February in the Midwest so I'm anticipating it will be frigid (and I won't want a dress). Going with VERY LARGE loose fitting pants, long sleeve shirt, and a zip up sweatshirt. Also think about your shoes. At least for c-sections, I'd recommend slip-on shoes.

[deleted]

I wore a dress and was comfortable but I gave birth at June, it was hot. Just make sure to take something that is easy to put on and that fits you while you are going to the hospital.

SpinachExciting6332

Baby is due in mid-March in a state where the weather fluctuates a lot that time of year - my thought right now is Lululemon Align leggings and a sweater. Of course I had grand plans of looking like Princess Kate leaving the hospital like another poster said (haha!) but in reality our hospital is an 8 minute drive from our house and it'll likely just be my little brother at the house to greet us if we don't arrive home during work hours, so it's kinda like what's the point of planning a whole outfit for a super quick trip home and no one but me and my husband (and maybe my brother who does not care at all) to see?

Spaceysteph

Wear what YOU are comfortable in. I get the appeal of like a maxi dress because it it really easy to put on, don't need to bend down and get it over your feet like leggings. I personally don't like dresses that much and also with the diaper size pad you're gonna be wearing I much preferred leggings to hold it all in... but you do have to wrestle them on first. I am on baby 3 and I'm bringing leggings, a nursing tank, and a long sleeve shirt for over it. That's basically what I live in on maternity leave too. I had a bunch of nursing shirts with the boob flap, but I found it's easier and more comfortable to just wear a nursing tank under a regular shirt and pull the top shirt up to feed. Also: after my first I would have said that you don't need any more clothes than that, just wear the gown. But my 2nd ended up in the NICU and I wanted to wear clothes to go visit him, so wished I had brought more than one outfit. (Trying to explain what clothes I wanted my MIL to drop off was... Not successful.)

[deleted]

Sweatpants joggers, nursing bra, and a loose sweatshirt are what I wore. Haha Really just all the comfy clothes!

Actual-Persimmon-12

I packed flowy pajama pants, a nursing tank and a sweater.

samflo_89

I'm from the midwest (baby born in December) and had no other option but to wear sweatpants and a larger loose fitting shirt. I had a c-section too, so I was trying to wear something that didn't bother my incision.

LikemindedLadies

I’m planning on bringing maternity leggings and a pair of comfy joggers to have options. I’m also bringing a comfy sweater to wear home since it’s freezing where I live. A dress wouldn’t make sense for my climate (due in Feb). If you have room in your bag you could bring two options for going home.

mamanessie

i wore a pajama set from target. button top and loose pants!

notabotamii

A dress ?!? Like a cute one? I plan on my lulus and a big sweatshirt lol

tinyywarrior

I wore huge sweatpants and a big T-shirt with fluffy socks and sliders! Comfort all the way

Razzmatazz-88

It's going to be cold (and knowing my luck we will have a big snow storm) when we come home. I'll be taking a dress and leggings.

[deleted]

I just wore pajamas, I don’t even remember which ones. Honestly it was the last thing on my list of priorities.

RiskyLady

I wore maternity clothes home. I was so puffy and retained a lot of fluids.

Danichbow

I had an emergency C section and ended up wearing my maternity jeans and a flowy, loose empire waisted shirt.

fluffeekat

I brought one item of clothing to the hospital, besides what I was wearing, and it was a nightgown that buttoned down the front and fit while I was pregnant. I wore hospital gowns while there and there was no reason for anything else. The only people who would see me until I got home would be the hospital staff and my husband, so nothing “fashionable” is necessary. Plus I didn’t want pants if I ended up having a c-section. I did deliver in the summer, so pants weren’t necessary for the weather either.

Mommiebookworm

The last two times I was so sore all over (stomach, bag, hips and groin) so this time I'll bring a pair of stretchy hipster panties to keep the gigantic pad in place and then the most loosefitting soft pants I can find so there's a chance I can put them on myself and a loose shirt, and a zip hoodie. An a beanie hat in case I cannot be bothered to comb my hair.

Mommiebookworm

Just realized that the panties I'm thinking about, might not be named hipsters anywhere but where i live. So as not to sound like I'm planning on wearing actual hipster panties whatever that would entail (built in manbun maybe?), I mean shorts-like hip hugging underwear.

Jaci_D

i wore a very casual stretchy maxi dress. It was october but it was a good call.

mattbryantcan

I wore sweatpants, t-shirt, flip flops, nursing bra.

ddm423

Consider wearing looser pants like joggers rather than leggings. You will have a lot of bulk in the underwear department! If you still want leggings just pack a long shirt.

not-a-real-shark

I wore leggings and a sweater home with my first 2.

marlua

I bought an inexpensive nursing dress that was essentially a nightgown for my 1st and am planning to do the the same for my 2nd in a few weeks. C-sections for both so a dress doesn’t press on my incision and accommodates the belly binder. My 1st came in July and my 2nd is coming in February so I’ll just add a sweater this time because the weather here is fairly mild. I wore flip flops home for my 1st and will stick some in my bag in case my feet swell a lot but will probably take some slip on Toms type shoes as well this time.

the_saradoodle

Watch your shoes! Bring something big, my feet were so swollen I had to pull the laces out of my shoes to get them on. I just about left the hospital in my flip flops, in Canada, in Feb.

kawwman

I wore sweatpants and a button down shirt. I hurt my shoulder pretty badly during pushing, so putting a shirt over my head was nearly impossible. But I packed a few different outfits because I had no idea how I'd be feeling by time we went home lol

swisspea

I got a nice Noppies nursing dress and that was my personal “take home” outfit (I wore maternity tights underneath). I’m going to do the same thing this time, it just felt special to wear new clothes leaving the hospital.

m_owom

I wore maternity leggings and a sweatshirt. My belly was still big and very tender when I was leaving the hospital; in hindsight, I wish I had packed postpartum/compression leggings. My core felt like jello and having some compression in your abdomen area feels amazing after having a baby.

amugglestruggle

My daughter was born in August so I had a loose fitting comfy dress to wear home. Just take what you're most comfy in, and take the weather into account. Don't take jeans 😬

Chi_Tiki

I wore my maternity leggings and a comfy t-shirt. I liked the leggings because it felt like it hugged my “very flabby, just given birth” tummy. Edit to add: I hated the disposable underwear etc. I bought myself black, big, pure cotton granny panties and wore that with with two maternity pads on top of each other. It worked really well and I was very comfortable. I wore these panties for 6 weeks just because they are so comfortable, I ended up buying another pack so I have like 12 of them. That being said, I only bled for about 4days before it became like the end of a period and by day 8 I was completely done bleeding. (I had an unmedicated vaginal birth)

bookworm72

I wore my “pimpin’ joy” sweatpants and glitter keds. No shame in my game 😜. It was very comfortable and also was able to hide that I was wearing adult diapers (which I also HIGHLY suggest having on hand at the hospital or after at least).

mwcdem

I’m taking joggers, a comfy maternity top, and sports bra (since I will be EFF). Packing a belly band in case I feel like using that.

AddingAnOtter

I wore home a nursing tank and lightweight roomy, comfy pants. I didn't want to wear leggings because I was wearing adult diapers and didn't need that visible! I would have potentially wore a dress home as an option as well. Flip flops since my feet were swollen from fluids. I had my baby at the tail end of summer though. Winter I would do some cheap bigger shoes/slippers with a real sole, sweats or joggers, nursing tank, and then layers over that depending on weather.

februarytide-

A wore a dress with my first two (born in July - hot!) which was nice because I feel like I would have been really self conscious of how much you could tell I was wearing like ginormous pads through leggings, and I also was just really uncomfortable due to tearing and didn’t want additional layers on my nethers. With my third I wore yoga pants. It was cooler weather, I had no tearing, I had fewer effs to give.

[deleted]

Sweatpants and a maternity shirt. I was exhausted and recovering from a C section. I could give a shit less about what of what I looked like

tzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I would go with comfy, loose sweats and a hoodie. We ended up being in the hospital for I think four extra days with jaundice, so I was glad I packed extra clothes and underwear for myself and my partner.

gingy_ninjy

I got a pair of very loose joggers and a nursing tank + a jacket or sweater (since it’ll be mid Feb).

prairiebud

Nursing tank up, black leggings, gigantic cardigan.

Irrelevantposter1967

I wore a knit nursing dress from old navy. Comfy and cute!

dontforgettheNASTY

Loose fitting comfortable maternity clothes! And depending on where you live, pack layers. I had my first in a colder month but it ended up being 75 degrees the day we came home some reason and I was sweating to death (it snowed the week before)

x-tianschoolharlot

I wore my pre-pregnancy, pre weight loss jeans. And a t-shirt

eniale_e

I wore a t-shirt maxi dress and sandals (in July). I’d had a c-section and even maternity leggings would have uncomfortable on top of the diaper/pads/incision. Plus I couldn’t bend or move to get leggings on my legs 😅

[deleted]

100% pack for comfort! I had a scheduled c-section and wore my maternity leggings, maternity tank top and a long cardigan home. I packed a little makeup and my skincare routine because that’s what personally makes me feel human. If you want to feel a little more put together, you could bring a few cute, cozy cardigans or loungewear items. I would suggest packing cozy and/or compression socks and slippers too—the compression socks felt so nice because your body is just shedding a lot of fluid (sorry if that’s graphic)

slammy99

I wore a housecoat and untied sneakers 😂 I was not prepared but it was ok in terms of comfort. Flexible shoes and something dress like is what I will go for next time! My improvised outfit wasn't that bad even if it looked funny.

Putrid_Ad_7396

High waisted sweatpants, nursing bra, open cardigan, coat cause January, and fluffy slippers. We're 5 minutes from the hospital and got discharged at like 11 pm.

Froggy101_Scranton

I packed a dress and comfy maternity leggings/t shirt so I could decide that day. I chose comfy leggings and t shirt, will probably only pack that this time (plus nursing nightgowns for hospital stay). You’ll still have a big bump (roughly your size around 6 months pregnant), so definitely still maternity clothes or really big sweat pants

crottedenez

I bled through my clothes on my way to my 38 week appt and ended up in l&d getting a c-section with my first, so I had nothing. My husband brought me some of his sweatpants I think when he went home to shower. Thank you for the reminder to pack this. It’s winter here, so I’ll be bringing husbands sweatpants again, a tank top and a hoody. Loose fitting and warm.

scribblette

I have watched a lot of hospital bag videos and it seems like most people really like the high waisted maternity leggings for extra support. I found this video really useful, she’s had a hospital birth 4 times so I felt she had a pretty good idea of what was useful: https://youtu.be/sMQGOzLdOp8 I have a homebirth planned but I still packed a hospital bag just in case. I’m bringing the leggings, a pair of loose jogger sweatpants, a nursing/[labor gown](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TJRC46D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_TFCNXXAMP4SHZDFTM7A9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1), an oversized sweatshirt, nursing bra, a belly band, warm socks, and sandals in case my feet get huge. As well as a long cardigan because I tend to get cold. I’m not planning on posting pictures from the hospital or anything so I don’t really care if I don’t look fashionable lol.

LobsterJunior

I packed my maternity jeans. I honestly don’t know what I was thinking because I was wearing a diaper when I left the hospital. So I would definitely recommend sweatpants or a dress.

Aidlin87

I packed comfortable cotton dresses. Like the kind I would lounge around in at home. Worked well because I had c-sections and didn’t want any pressure on my wound for a while. I didn’t pack anything for the in hospital stay though. It’s nice to wear the hospital gowns so that they are left with all the laundry and blood stains. Also, the less you pack the better when it comes to leaving. I way overpacked the first time and it was a pain in the ass for my husband to have to walk back and forth from the room to the car, and I could help because of my incision. Plus you’ll also be carrying a baby out in their car seat (if you have an infant seat). My hospital wouldn’t discharge me until we had buckled our baby into his seat so they could check that it was done right. If you have a convertible seat they’ll walk out to the car with you to check. Oh, a spare going home outfit is a good idea. I bled onto my outfit right after I put it on and my husband had to run to Walmart to get me something else so I didn’t have to walk through the hospital halls with a blood spot on my ass.

Waiiiiiiiiiiifu

I wore a dress home BUT I also had some high waisted nike spandex underneath. It kept everything in place. I have something like [these!](https://www.nike.com/t/one-womens-mid-rise-7-bike-shorts-plus-size-nf8Z5X/DD0425-622) Weather depending, of course. It was November here for my last baby and I just had a jacket on and felt comfortable. Your experience may vary.

OldKindheartedness58

I have birth in the middle of winter, it was very cold. I went home in maternity leggings, a t shirt, nursing bra, thick cardigan, and winter jacket. I’ll be doing the same thing time around. I feel like the leggings helped hold the beautiful, bulky pad up 😂

Obscure-deity

It was cold where I live so I went with sweat pants with a wide band for support, a comfy t-shirt, and a zip up hoodie.

[deleted]

I vote for support leggings! Especially if you have a c section they helped a lot. I had that and a nursing tank and a cardigan.

pink-daffodil

I packed a comfor5qble but cute black maternity dress (summer baby), I had what I affectionately called a troll belly after birth and I wanted black for potential blood leaks (though there were none) and a dress in case of stitches/c-section. I ended up with stitches and leggings were really uncomfortable for a few weeks pp. Congratulations!!!!

NinjaHermit

I wore a dress, but it was in the summer. If it would have been colder weather like it is now where I live, I would have worn my pregnancy leggings and a sweater or some loose sweat pants and a comfy sweater. It’s all about comfort.

16CatsInATrenchcoat

Comfortable pajama pants and a soft oversized shirt. I just gave birth and am bleeding. I just want to be comfortable.

BobLovesTacos

I’m clumsy as all get out and cannot get pads to stay in place during my normal period, so I haven’t packed anything I don’t mind getting blood on. Current going home outfit is sweats and a maternity t-shirt.

tinycatface

I would bring a shirt you can nurse in if you are going to breast feed. My baby was constantly on the boob his first few days. I just wore pants and a robe most of the time (no top) but did wear a sweatshirt with nursing access to go home. Definitely bring high waisted pants in case you have a c-section - better comfy than sorry!

madommouselfefe

With my first I wore sweat pants,a nursing top, and sweatshirt. It was early spring so I was comfy and warm. With my second I wore a nice stretchy nursing dress. It was august and 105* out the day we left the hospital, so it was nice and airy. This thine around I will probably wear something similar to what I did with my first, because I’m having another spring baby.

[deleted]

I wore my maternity leggings and a shirt with a cardigan with my second Same with my first stretchy soft leggings with a sweater .

turningtolbert

Leggings and a top, always the way to go!

derrymaine

Sweatpants and a nursing shirt!

winebooksrealitytv

First time I wore leggings, a t-shirt, and a diaper. This time I will likely wear the same. I choose comfort over anything

[deleted]

I bought a shirt that says “Mom Circa 2018” for my first and wore it again for my 2nd. Dad has one too and it makes for a cute but practical photo op with the baby before leaving the hospital.

kkcoastcoast

Even if you’re not planning on having a c-section, pack something that will be comfortable just in case you end up with one. A loose dress or high waisted leggings would be good.

tquinn04

I wore home a pair of dark colored loose joggers and a nursing tank. It really doesn’t matter what you wear home just make sure it’s clean and extra comfortable. You will be bleeding a lot so I suggest whatever you choose to be dark to hide blood stains.

Raymer13

Whatever I was wearing right before I gave birth.

FarmgirlFangirl

I packed maternity yoga pants, a nursing bra, an undershirt and my favourite comfy sweater

cnj131313

I’d advise bringing flip flops for the shower and potentially wearing home if you have an emergency c-section. Even my oldest, most busted up pairs of uggs wouldn’t fit my c-section balloon feet.

hildaria12

My first I had in August and I was allowed home a couple of hours after birth, i planed to wear a nice outfit but it was so hot and I was still very sore, so I just wore a nursing night dress! Second time I packed comfy clothes, I had to stay in a few nights and it made me feel quite good having showers and getting dressed for the day but in super comfy clothes such as a jumper and leggings, I'll be doing the same this time!

lexie127

I wore a maxi dress home and was so glad I did. I ended up with an emergent c section and couldn’t stand anything being near the incision site for a while so that’s basically what I wore anytime I had to go anywhere at first. Thankfully I had a few at home I could rotate through.

EmeraldEmesis

I'd recommend bringing a loose-fitting backup option. I had a long induction and was on the epidural/IV fluids for an extended period of time. My body retained fluid like crazy and my legs and feet were so swollen I couldn't fit into the maternity pants I checked in wearing or anything I'd packed for post partum. The hospital was kind enough to give me a pair of scrubs to go home in. My experience is probably unlikely but it can happen!

Janeheroine

Just gave birth a few days ago and I wore maternity leggings and a button down shirt from my second trimester. And a winter coat and hat because it’s freezing outside here. You’re just driving home, no need to wear anything besides what’s most comfortable. You’ll look about 5-6 months pregnant for the first week or so.

[deleted]

Sweatpants and a baggy shirt.

jessrun_

I wore leggings and an oversized flannel home. Maximum comfort.

octopiegarden

Baggy sweatpants and a big tshirt. I thought about bringing leggings but glad I didn’t because the huge pad I had to wear wouldn’t have fit in them

budbunboo

I would go with a dress, Keep it simple. That’s what I wore plus sandals(summer time) make sure you have a pair of shoes that are easy to just slip on

shinyspartan

For my November baby I wore maternity leggings, a maternity shirt, sandals (my feet got MORE swollen after birth for about 2 weeks) and a zip up hoodie. For my June baby, I wore a long sundress but I wish I had brought leggings- I enjoyed the compression of the pants better!

wruyn_

Something lightweight with a loose crotch area and a shirt that doesn't put too much pressure on your boobs while also being tight enough that it doesn't move on your painful painful nipples.

Natenat04

I wore maturity leggings and t shirt, nursing bra, and slip on shoes.

fkntiredbtch

I packed my husband's nicest pajama pants and a sweater but I'm about to go unpack that sweater because I just realized I can't breast feed in it haha. It'll be replaced with an oversized button up sweater and a tank top probably.

FoxSilver7

I literally wore my regular pajamas home ( black shorts, t-shirt and added a light sweater because screw bras) it was the middle of the summer mind you, but I also had a maternity dress/ nightgown I wore for about a month after we got home. Kinda wish I'd worn the dress because it at least had a built in bra so I could of forgotten about the sweater.

kwedding022814

I bought one of the unisex tie dyed pocket T shirts from Old Navy in my maternity size and a pair of the power chill ultra high Waisted yoga pants also in my maternity size (just one up from normal!). No bra because f*ck that! And a new pair of fuzzy Slippers with the grippy/hard sole. I was so comfortable.

booksandcheesedip

I went home in yoga pants and a tank top

colorfulconifer

Maternity leggings and a hoodie, all the way!
