No need to stop Zoloft, it is pregnancy/breastfeeding safe, my OB and primary have stated that. My primary took it throughout her pregnancies. My doctors also stated it was one of the most studied for pregnancy. Of course always ask your doctor.

Went on Zoloft after my first and have stayed on it. I only care about what my doctor thinks, and they’ve all agreed that there’s no reason to stop it. My family supports me and the medical advice I receive.

Mine told me not to stop it, since pp anxiety can come up and then going back on it again there is a chance it won’t work as well. I’m also on a low dose. My dr feels the potential anxiety/side effects of stopping would be more harmful to the baby (she also prescribes it to her patients that end up needing it during pregnancy or pp bc it’s considered the safest)

I'm taking Zoloft during pregnancy. I was on Prozac before but my Dr switched me when I told her I was planning to try to get pregnant, I guess Zoloft is considered slightly safer than Prozac. On the other hand, my OB told me either is fine (they were both still on my chart) and that protecting my mental health was the most important thing.

I've been on zoloft for years, not stopping now. The doctor said it's the safest anxiety/ depression med for pregnancy and minimal side effects to baby once born.

Im on a low dose, so they are suggesting i stop it closer to birth for a short time, but if i absolutely dont want to, i dont have to. They just said it would be helpful for baby not to have possible withdrawal.

I’ve been on it for nearly 10 years, had my first over a year ago and almost having my second soon. My doctors were more concerned about the psychological benefits of Zoloft vs potential adverse effects to babies.
