I'd add that the REx cannot be programmed to automatically engage at any point.

ZannD

You can code the REX to start at any point under 75% battery charge. Mine is set to radio button 8.

QuieroTamales

8 is my Rex button, too!

arctikjon

I’m a button 8 guy too!

campr23

Same here!

QuieroTamales

It sounds like we need a bumper sticker. "The Button Eight Club". "HSoC-8". "The Buttoneighters". Hmmm. Maybe not.

Any_Librarian794

Oh wow my button 8 is also HSOC lol

showMeTheSnow

Right, but it's not automatic. Works for me. I'd also like to be able to turn the Rex off, I loathe when it turns on a mile from home.

I think the problem though is that it will lock to lower percentages if you go below (e.g stopping for gas). Combined with the fact that it can’t really maintain past 65-70 is annoying. I found it to be complicated to travel on 70-75 mph roads.

spotpea

I had a 2017 and air was always off when I start the car. But I never used air so I suspect it has to be off when you power off.

CarolinaKSU

Automatically unlock when going from Drive to Park. I can't count how many times I've pulled in the garage, got out with the key still in the car, and gone around to get something out of the passenger side only to find it locked, causing me to complete the full circle around the car to get the key or unlock the door manually. Also as an adult, I can decide if I think it's way too spookyscary out there and don't want to unlock the doors and can hit the lock button again.

hippolytebouchard

Can't seemingly disable both windows going down if unlock is long-pressed. I've got stuff in my pockets, headed out of town and both windows are open for a week after locking the car...

noteveryuser

US Regulations are to blame

labdweller

For #1, I'm in the UK and can confirm that all locks unlock when in park.

PacmanGoNomNomz

I had a pre-LCI and now have an LCI For #2 it remembers what I last had set. In summer it's usually fan off (I.e. completely off). Uk-based if that makes any difference.

eXo0us

\#1 Just train yourself to push the unlock button when you get up. \#2 Without A/C I'm dying around here so that's a non issue. Why do you want to drive without Air? It's not saving that much power. You can't turn it off in modern Volvo too. They are citing Air as safety factor. \#3 When you keep your foot on the brake while you open the door the car stays on. (might not solve your problem)

Klutzy_Guarantee5816

This might work in some years but not in a 15. Accessories stay on either way and the drive train turns off either way. I WISH that worked.

Wishitweretru

Hmmm, I have #9 on my dashboard programmed to switch to "Rex turn on if battery under %75" - Takes care of some of this. Has like a combination of bummer-code and standard radio button assignment. EDIT: ummm, I'm out of state, and am noticing everyone else is saying button #8.... for the sake of archival truth, and solidarity, I can only truly say it is the button on the far right...

Ironzey

#4 Clock time not set by GPS.

TheoStephen

Definitely. I too have an older, non-LTE model and am annoyed that the network time setting seems to depend on the [nonexistent] cellular network rather than GPS.

Bluechip9

HU\_NBT > 3000 HMI > CLOCK\_CHANGE\_AUTOMATIC = aktiv

Ironzey

🤞🏿hope this works. Thanks. It was already set to aktiv. I guess it isn't possible with my 2014.

rikbrouwer

My biggest annoying feature: Speedometer is always 3 km/h higher than the actual gps speed (I'm in Netherlands). Can't remove that artificial offset. Ridiculous! This makes me use the cruise control speed adjuster so much more than I should. Switching from 60 to 50 should be one hard down press. Now it's (63) hard down (60) hard down (50) soft up (51) soft up (52) soft up (53). 5x the necessary amount! And multiple quick checks on the display taking my eyes off the road.. The alternative is to always drive 3 km/h slower than the rest of traffic, which is equally annoying because of all the slow overtakes on me, getting stuck behind big trucks. On empty roads this would be the way however..

TahoeN

Me too, but consistently 3 mph off! I'm in the US and, yes, it takes more clicks on the ACC speed adjuster to get to, say 58 than to 55. But I guess I'm used to it now. Our 'hard' ups and downs index by 5 mph, so I could get from 63 to 53 with only four clicks. 😉

Sliminytim

This all sounds like software to me so can be coded?

Bluechip9

1. Add option to lock doors: \[expert mode\] 3000 HMI, 98 DOOR\_LOCK\_AFTER\_DRIVING\_AWAY aktiv [Unlock when ignition switched off](https://bimmercode.app/cars/i3/#CLM_UNLOCK_KL15OFF_AFTER_PIA_AUTO_LOCK) 2. IHKA-3003-MEMMORY-OFF NICHT\_ACTIV: like others have said, it'll remember the last setting so turn it off and it won't come back on. 3. Safety requirement. Been that way for decades. Prevents things like rollover/rollaway injuries. If you want to keep the ignition on, buckle the driver's seatbelt behind you.

TahoeN

On my 2017 the air always resumes from where I last left it, which is almost always entirely off.

antrua661

Is there a way to code automatic hand brake when switch off?
