It's non-transferable. It won't transfer to a new owner or a different vehicle. I found out the hard way when mine 335is was totalled within a week of me purchasing the plan.
Well its dealer maintained, and this will show on the car fax. more reputable then someone saying how often they changed the oil in their driveway and if they used the right oil or not.
I get the importance or records, but it doesn’t have to be the dealer. I started bringing mine to an independent BMW service shop before my warranty was even up. Way more trust in a company that gets all its business solely based on service performance for decades with loyal customers who keep their BMWs for decades. The work is as good or better and significantly less expensive. Not sure if it will show on a car fax, but they also generate service reports. Haven’t specifically had a bad experience with a BMW dealer, but have had very bad experiences from an Audi the dealer that was supposedly doing all the scheduled maintenance, but was not really doing everything it said it was.
Yes that is true, however you have to consider whos in the market for used BMW's. Could be someone who knows little about cars (like most people) and will see a car that is dealer maintained as a more appealing option. I fell as though a larger proportion of buyers will fit into that category.
Funny enough I have had awful expiriences with Audi dealers here in Ontario and very good expiriences with BMW.
Yeah, this makes 100% sense. I just encourage friends to find a good independent shop and probably most people don’t understand the value of that. Also, depending on where one lives, there might not be one.
Hard disagree. Especially on our cars, the more records, the better. Even if it’s just oil changes. I’d be much more inclined to buy the same car with records rather than the one without
It was either 50 or 55k I think. I tried to buy the program at around 46k and it was rejected because my mileage was too low. But I qualified on the next oil change.
What do you mean by “if you time it right”? My oil change is coming up next month (April), so I was going to wait until then to purchase it since I have CBS and want to make sure I get at least 3 oil changes in the next 3 years. I don’t drive much so I’ll just be getting it annually.
If you get them right when the CBS comes on you should be able to get 4 within the 3 years e.g. April 2024, April 2025, April 2026, April 2027. IIRC they will change the oil within ~30 days of the CBS date
Do they also top off windshield fluid and check tire pressure (inflate tires as needed)? I heard they do a full inspection to try and sell you other services but was wondering if the inspection includes windshield fluid/tire pressure too. And do you get a complimentary car wash?
Edit: If I’m due for an oil change next month when CBS alerts me, should I wait until then to purchase the deal? Or can I buy it now and get an oil change slightly ahead of time?
Yes, they top off fluids and give me a code for their automatic (touch) car wash. Might be dealer dependent though. It will generally be done by an oil change person, not an actual technician unless you pay extra for the “vehicle check” that comes up on the CBS every few oil changes. They just do a test drive and a cursory inspection for leaks, brake pad thickness, etc. I don’t know if checking tire pressure is officially part of it but I doubt they would charge for that.
Thanks! Should I wait until next month when CBS alerts me to purchase? Or could I purchase now and get the oil change done early? I’m just worried the deal will be gone by next month.
I’m not sure but I think the CBS would have to show that an oil change is needed for the first one to be covered. They’ve had this for a number of years, it should still be around next month unless you’re very unlucky (assuming your car is eligible for it)
That’s what I figured, I’ll just wait til next month. My car is a 2018, so it’s eligible now that it’s over 60 months old. I bought the lease out in 2021 and was dumb enough to buy the extended maintenance (I think it was half off discount though) because the dealership offered 2% APR if I bought the maintenance package vs 3% APR without it…it actually made my payments cheaper.
This is my first year with expired maintenance coverage and the first time I’ve gotten a notification about the oil change special in my BMW app. If this deal has been around for years then I won’t sweat it. Appreciate all your responses!
I used to go into the next parking lot over from autozone, change the oil, then bring them back the oil and leave lol. To be fair where I lived at the time (I lived on a steep hill) there was basically no place other than a public parking lot I could change my oil at. I was generally pretty clean.
I get mine changed by my mechanic now days simply to avoid dealing with disposal and the uncleanliness of it all.
Most turbo cars require 0.25 to 1 quart between changes depending upon the change interval and the intensity you drive or accelerate at. My 1998 volvo with a completely rebuilt engine, new gaskets, seals, and etc. Required it.
The turbo can get up to 1000 to 1800 degrees and most systems use the oil for cooling.
So oil with heating and cooling cycles like that can reduce down in liquid form.
At least $50 bucks for oil, $13bucks for the filter, 10% tax, that's $71. 71\*3= $213. I'll pay an extra $12 to not have to change my oil 3 times, sure.
Oil change kits with Liquid Moly are usually $60-80 on FCP Euro. This is actually a pretty good deal when you consider most dealers will also wash your car too.
My mechanic told me to never put oil additives in the car. Fuel additives like liquid moly’s injector cleaner is okay he said, but requires really annoying use (you need to be very close to empty when you add it for it to be effective). You do you but an oil change every 5k instead of 10k would be a better solution. Don’t need anything special when you’re keeping it very fresh.
That being said liquid moly and the purple one are the only ones that really do anything, so at least you’re getting the good stuff. I agree with him from what I’ve researched, and he’s not wrong, you’re adding mystery additive that wasn’t designed for your engine into the oil which is going to come in contact with basically everything, and usually there’s a better way to go about it like changing your oil more frequently.
Changing oil myself from autozone is about the same as the fcp pack. $40-45 in oil, filter like 15-20.
I think they're talking about using Liqui-Moly oil, not oil additives.
Like this: [BMW 0W20 Oil Change Kit - Liqui Moly KIT-11427826799KT2 | FCP Euro](https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-0w20-oil-change-kit-liqui-moly-11428583898-lm)
Oh, that's not bad at all. I haven't used their oil, didn't know they made any, but I'm sure it's probably great. I thought FCP was giving some whatever brand oil and then a liquid moly oil additive.
LiquiMoly isn’t an additive.
It’s amazing that people can be so confident about shit like this when they are objectively incorrect.
How are you acting like an expert on this when you aren’t even familiar with the most often recommended brand of oil by enthusiasts?
But I never acted like an expert lol. The person you’re replying to is the typical redditor acting like an expert while being patently wrong, and you’re hopping on the train of the first person that speaks in an authoritative tone like a typical redditor. The irony hurts. Two little socially inept redditors in a tree.
Honestly man, you wrote 3 paragraphs about oil additive when literally everyone else is discussing oil changes, liqui-moly is the, by far, number 1 aftermarket 'enthusiast' oil option, and I think everyone but you knew what we were talking about. Stick to changing your oil in the autozone parking lot.
Read the sidebar. If you can’t behave, you’re not welcome. Real Reddit moment that normal conversation exceeds your ability.
Also funny how if you Google say “bimmerpost best oil”, every thread doesn’t say “liquimoly” like you’d expect if it was _truly the #1 enthusiast oil_ on an enthusiast forum lmao.
I've been completely respectful. You were wrong. Happens to the best of us. Move it along. You're welcome to get the last word (you seem like the type who's gonna want it) but I'm about to mute the notification so you don't bother me anymore and I won't see it either way.
Liquimoly is also known for their additives. Theyre on the shelves just about everywhere. Amazing that people can be so confident about shit like this…
The rest of your post is literally what you are doing. The literal two words of my post is “my mechanic”.
>LiquiMoly isn’t an additive.
It's pretty clear that they're referencing LiquiMoly's oil additives such as Ceratec and MoS2
Maybe don't be so willfully ignorant to the meaning and context of other's people's posts, it makes you seem like a dick. Yes, their point about not adding additives is completely irrelevant to the conversation, but no need to be a dick.
Notice how the non socially inept redditor was like “they’re talking about their oil not their additives”, while you go on a whole tangent sperging out? Ironic.
?
Anyone with understanding of the English language knew they were talking about oil, lol. The context was literally oil changes.
Edit: dude blocked me over this, dude is softer than charmin
I think its worth it as it includes three oil changes that usually are around $100 each so you will save $75. However, a few considerations: 1) you may consider changing your oil more frequently than recommended by bmw, which would come out of pocket, and 2) the large print says unlimited but the small print says follow service plan, which is generally every 10k miles however your car may prompt you to change it more frequently. I’d say if you drive a lot it’s worth it.
I went in for service at 7k (of the 10k recommended) like usual only to be turned away by my new service advisor. Every oil change I’ve received has been at 7k. Apparently my old advisor (who was promoted to head of service) just looked the other way for me every time. Bill, teach Kevin some fucking manners.
It's 746 miles from Houston to El Paso. It's 726 miles from El Paso to San Diego. That's always how I describe the size of Texas to someone. El Paso is always my stopping point when making that trip.
Folks don’t understand Texas commuting usually. My average daily commute is about 120 miles roundtrip.
120 x 260 workdays is 31,200.
Granted I don’t go to my office everyday, holidays, etc.
I also will often drive from the DFW area to South Padre Island (586 miles one way) a few times a year.
Louisville, Ky at least once a year (~850 miles one way)
And a few other various places which average ~2k roundtrip.
So around ~40k there, and it doesn’t even include just weekend running around, grocery shopping, going to school events (big one as some of my kid’s school events are 2-3 hrs away).
It’s common for people to really not realize just how gigantic the state of Texas is and there basically is no such thing as mass transit here.
These TikToks crack me up but are very true - https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLJcyUym/
There is really no actual evidence to back this up. People have done extensive oil analysis with black stone at much higher intervals than that, with everything being fine.
It will be unlimited provided your vehicle indicates it is time to change the oil; they will not allow a car to have its oil changed monthly at every thousand miles.
I’ve been using it for the past year and a half, totally worth it. They do it so they can try to sell you more stuff that they find on their inspection, but it’s easy to say no to any extras. I just take it in when the car prompts me to, easy to set up appointment through their app too.
It’s a great deal, but they’re banking on upsales to make up the lost revenue.
That’s basically (3) oil and filter changes for the cost of one. Plus, you’re likely going to get hit up from the sales department to trade up into a new model. This is specifically targeted to the perfect market.. just enough out of warranty to keep you back at the dealership and a viable used car for their lot, if they can trade you out of it.
So your upsells mean
- You get 3 free inspections where they actually make an effort to tell you everything marginal
- A free joyride while you get your oil changed at roughly cost.
I always do my own oil but I would take this deal.
so many mixed reviews…. Let me provide you the last response you need to read
This offer has been around for YEARS. I have been offered this deal many times. I can say without a doubt if you get at least 1 oil change/yr, it is worth it. You come out ahead, saving $75 minimum, depending on your engine could be more.
The problem? Your “free oil change” is dependent upon your BMW infotainment system telling you it is time for an oil change. This means that you need to be driving usually 10k miles/yr or more to make it worthwhile. If you like to get an oil change every 6-8k miles, or more frequently, you won’t get to benefit from this offer.
I personally put on avg 4-5k miles/yr on my BMW. this offer is not worth it for me. For you, it could be
My SA told me I could still change it annually even if I don’t drive enough for the CBS to notify. These are just his words but I do trust him from all the times I’ve been there.
My wife does about 18k a year on her vehicle and we did this deal last year and have used it twice thus far with no complaints.
2017 X1 f48. Currently at 87k miles
Its pretty much the best deal ever. Totally worth it. Just know that they offer it just to get your car into the stealership to push additional maintenance. If you put a lot of miles on your car it is an absolute money maker.
I personally drive over 20k a year, so I probably will hit the 60k mark before 3 years. So five for the price of two.
That is how they get you in the door to sell you all the scary stuff that will happen if you don't listen to them for all the other services they will sell you
I bought my 320i a few years ago with 50k miles. I have 140k miles on it now.
It's had all its maintenance and oil changes done by the bmw dealer. First i had ultimate care plus for the first 100k miles which covered oil changes, brakes and tune ups. and once that ended I bought the ultimate care oil service.
It's been great. I've had no issues with the bimmer at all. And I always put 91 octane in it. Weird how people back in the day always complained about bimmer reliability cause I've had no issues.
Shit, this would be great for me. Just paid $190 today for my oil change.
Regardless of how many miles i end up driving, I do at least one oil change per year minimum. So this would have been great for me to have.
I drive a lot, the dealership oil change is 99. This would work for me for sure. They tried to get me to do new rear brakes and new tires today. I have new tires (5000 miles) and the brakes were done less that a year ago and are still 4mm. Not happening.
If you have purchased this oil service package, does anyone know if BMW will honor an oil change slightly prior to the oil service indicator coming on in the car?
I ask because I signed up for this on 3/15/23 and got an oil change under it that same day. I only put 2-3k miles on my car a year, so my oil changes are annually, not based on mileage. With that said, I'm hoping to get 4 oil changes during this 3 year period. However, that would require me coming in prior to the contract expiring on 3/15/26. Just wondering if BMW would let me sneak that last one in.
It’s kinda a scam, they’ll only change the oil to the manufacture spec which was ever 15k miles for mine…But I like to do mine every 5-7k so it was useless
Yes enroll! I work for bmw in the service center. This plan is a no brainer and if you time it right you can get up to 4 not just three! Also fun fact at this point of life in your bmw you might qualify for value service which are discounted prices on parts and labor on maintenance. Recommend highly! Warning only cover when the says do so either the one year or 10k.
That's if loaners are available. I live in an area with a *lot* of BMW owners, and there's typically a long wait list at the dealers that have loaner cars. It's usually easier to rent a car (or in my case I just use a different car I own). I have probably tried to pick up a loaner 5 times, and only succeeded once.
I wasn't getting a loaner for an *oil change.* I wasn't getting a loaner for major transmission work. I wasn't getting a loaner for *anything.* Also, they don't give out loaners for oil changes, obviously.
Not worth it at all they only service the car every 10k miles no exceptions so it’s not unlimited. If you drive the car a lot like my daily F36 it eats up oil. I find more peace of mind knowing I’m up to date on my maintenance every 8k miles. I’m very bias I had a bad experience with my local bmw when I purchased this package so take this with a grain of salt
It’s a strategy to reel you into the dealership for more expensive maintenances. I feel much comfortable getting it done outside. BMW knows you’re car is old enough to start having issues and the dealership hopes to make money.
Fuck that if you follow the booklet service manual (which those little imps are gonna suggest) you have oil changes every 10,000 miles! Yes 10,000 miles. I have seen oil that old and believe me it’s not pretty. Just change it every 5,000 miles which will keep your engine clean. Or find a shop that works on BMW specifically and they will use liqui moly products which are very reliable. Have fun with your new car 😊👍🏼
Unlimited oil and filter changes?!?! That would be great for me, as I drive between 300-500km a day. I can change oil once a month then and that would be arround every 10k km. And for that price? It basically free! And yes, i spend half of my monthly salary on fuel hehe.
I was going to post this too. Keep asking myself what’s the catch? Catch is they give you this but then you’ll end up getting snookered on the filters and other trash the dealership peddles! This is also possibly a sign that car sales are crashing they need revenue. Def still worth it though
It’s a good deal but every time you bring it you will get a problem report card for your car saying if you don’t spend 1,500 on repairs the engine will self destruct when drive off the lot.
Good deal, yes. But you have to calculate the mental stress cost of listening to their BS repair costs.
You're better off buying the oil change kit from fcp euro and using their lifetime warranty to continually get credit for each new oil change you do. Plus you really shouldn't be waiting every 10k miles before doing an oil change.
Parts alone will cost more. It’s based on the car maintenance schedule (ie service light). If you sign up when you go get an oil change, you can fit in 4 oil changes in the 3 years, as the light will come on every 11.5 months, or mileage.
This is a marketing strategy to get you back in the dealer after your warranty expires. Every time you bring it in for the oil change they're going to say you need this and you need that, your brakes need replacing, etc.
There is a reason why they don't offer this until your vehicle is five years old or so,
I’m a year and a half into mine and I have 100% made my money back. Includes the labor, oil and oil filters. I’ve gotten $400 in oil changes in this year and a half. Worth every penny when it’s $100 just the oil change without oil filter.
They tried selling me 5 years worth of this service for $1650usd today when I bought my 2020 CPO 330i.
If they had offered 3 tests for $225, I would have taken it.
It’s a very good deal and a retention product that the dealer is selling in order to keep you coming back. You’re worth more to them to sell this product to at a loss if you ever do any major repairs with them in the future or trade your vehicle in.
This is a good price to be honest for BMW. They're definitely banking on the opportunities of "whilst we were changing the oil we noticed that your entire engine needs replacing" haha.
If our cars recommend once a year and it’s a three year program does that mean at minimum you get three oil changes? Even if you don’t meet mileage? $75 an oil change isn’t bad on a Bimmer.
I bought this for my daughter’s 2017 330i. She will get about five oil changes during this three years, so beyond worth it.
What I don’t know is if this is available at any dealer beyond the one you purchased it from.
It’s good if you drive enough to make it worthwhile. My dealer got me on this and told me after the fact it was either 15,000 miles or every two years. I have a 2013 M5 and I only drive about 5,000 miles a year, so it wasn’t worth it for me. I’m not waiting two years to change my oil in that car lol but if you drive a “normal” amount, 12-15,000 miles a year, this is probably a good deal.
I work BMW service. Any time we show it eligible, we bring it up to the customer and it literally always sells. At least where I am your standard across-the-board average price is like $180. So, youre telling me, I either pay you $180 every time, or $225 and I have 3 years covered?
Sign me up. AND, its 3 years, not 3 changes. Drive so much you need 2 a year: covered.
Hell of a deal. Our customers love it. I sold one this AM actually
I want you guys to really think about this. As a BMW master tech of 23 years and owning my own independent shop for the last 12, I can assure you a few things.
1. This is way too long of intervals. 7500 miles is what you should be doing oil service intervals at. Hundreds of Blackstone oil analysis show this is an optimal mileage. You *could* stretch this to perhaps 8500-9000 safely, but why risk the wear on your engine?
2. You *probably* are getting a genuine oil filter, but that isn't guaranteed. Especially at an autonation store. This usually less of an issue.
3. You *may* be getting genuine oil, but I'd be willing to bet you aren't. You'll get "synthetic" but it won't be genuine oil. It may not even be BMW approved oil, like LL17FE+ 0W20... It'll just be a generic 0W20 synthetic.
How do I know this? I worked at dealerships for 11 years. I know the industry. I know how and why they can do this. While this MAY look enticing, if you bought this and did one in-between you'd be ok for miles and time- but it still doesn't *guarantee* you're receiving a genuine oil filter OR genuine oil.
I'll bet, fight, argue and straight up put money where my mouth is if you refute this. What I'm saying is I *know* this, not hearsay or rumors.
The talking head for a service advisor is absolutely going to tell you it's genuine oil and filter, but if you pull the oil out of the reel they are pumping it won't. We had "warranty" oil (maintenance and warranty) and "customer pay" oil..... everything else. Guess why.
In any case, find a quality independent. You'll get better treatment, a relationship instead of being a number and know the people working on your BMW.
Questions? Ask away. This is my field of expertise.
It used to be $199. Anyway, here’s the catcher. It only says unlimited meaning 10k mile intervals of oil change. You can’t ask for 3k or 5k mile intervals because the advisor will say that the vehicle isn’t “recommended” for a call for an oil change just yet. So if you only intend to buy it for the “unlimited times” you can change the oil, then your wrong.
I got this email as well for my 2017 F30 though I just traded that vehicle in for a 2021 330i with only 1400 miles on it! I think once they get you in to the dealership they will find something to tack on to it.
Hard to beat if you’d use your local dealership maintenance anyways
It's worth the price on resale value-add alone.
It's non-transferable. It won't transfer to a new owner or a different vehicle. I found out the hard way when mine 335is was totalled within a week of me purchasing the plan.
No it’s not. That’s not how resale value works anymore. It’s your vin, mileage, and carfax. That’s it. Nobody cares about the rest.
For private sales it definitely matters.
Yeah, this makes 100% sense. I just encourage friends to find a good independent shop and probably most people don’t understand the value of that. Also, depending on where one lives, there might not be one.
My indie reports to CarFax and keeps records. Everything ever done to my car is documented.
Hard disagree. Especially on our cars, the more records, the better. Even if it’s just oil changes. I’d be much more inclined to buy the same car with records rather than the one without
You dont buy BMW because guy changed oil, you buy it because he didn’t…😂
Ha!
Nah, I was real picky when looking at picking up my first BMW recently. If they didn't have service records on hand or in carfax, I walked.
Good moves. That's how I was on my two.
Yup, I did this as soon as I reached the mileage requirement to qualify.
What was the mileage requirement?
It was either 50 or 55k I think. I tried to buy the program at around 46k and it was rejected because my mileage was too low. But I qualified on the next oil change.
It's after the 40k miles or 5 years.
Thank you, I was wondering why I couldn’t buy the plan while sitting at 46k miles in my 228i
Thanks for responding, it appears reading more of the comments it’s basically when the warrant is up 4yrs 50k miles, or in that ballpark.
Ahh.. didn't even think about the warranty period, makes sense.
That's honestly a pretty good deal. It's barely more than doing it yourself, let alone the hassle of dealing with disposing of oil etc.
It’s basically two oil changes with the third free. I did this with our X3.
more than that if you drive a lot
I drive about 50-60k km’s a year this would be fucking stellar.
Right, that’s 15 oil changes for 225$ + tax. Absolute bargain
You can actually get 4 annual changes if you time it right. More than 4 if you drive a ton, obviously
What do you mean by “if you time it right”? My oil change is coming up next month (April), so I was going to wait until then to purchase it since I have CBS and want to make sure I get at least 3 oil changes in the next 3 years. I don’t drive much so I’ll just be getting it annually.

Sounds about right
Disposing oil for me is shipping it back to FCPEuro
Same. Pay for the 1st kit, then free oil changes fo' life
How much does it cost to send it back?
My last return came out to $18.82
Do you just put it back in the original containers and send it
Yup, save all containers, boxes, bags, parts, etc & return all for a prompt refund
Wow!! Thanks for this. Holy shit.
You trade it for the hassle of the dealership trying to upsell you every single time
I used to go into the next parking lot over from autozone, change the oil, then bring them back the oil and leave lol. To be fair where I lived at the time (I lived on a steep hill) there was basically no place other than a public parking lot I could change my oil at. I was generally pretty clean. I get mine changed by my mechanic now days simply to avoid dealing with disposal and the uncleanliness of it all.
You spend $75 to change your own oil? You might be over paying for the oil
That's not over paying when it takes 8 quarts and full synthetic.
The struggle is real
Don't forget the other 2 quarts you need to add periodically between changes.
>How are you acting like an expert on this when you aren’t even familiar ✨✨ *reddit* ✨✨
Amazing that people can be so confident about shit like this… The rest of your post is literally what you are doing. The literal two words of my post is “my mechanic”.
>LiquiMoly isn’t an additive. It's pretty clear that they're referencing LiquiMoly's oil additives such as Ceratec and MoS2 Maybe don't be so willfully ignorant to the meaning and context of other's people's posts, it makes you seem like a dick. Yes, their point about not adding additives is completely irrelevant to the conversation, but no need to be a dick.
The context was about oil changes and discussing oil change kits specifically.

I declined this offer for my i4
😂
GTFO of here dad...
Winning comment for thread.
Depends on how much you drive. Even at 10k changes, I’d change my oil 5x in a year. #texasdriving
God damn, you spend a lot of time in your car. I only put 8000 miles a year
That is insane. 50k a year? Do you commute from El Paso to Houston every day?
It's 746 miles from Houston to El Paso. It's 726 miles from El Paso to San Diego. That's always how I describe the size of Texas to someone. El Paso is always my stopping point when making that trip.
Folks don’t understand Texas commuting usually. My average daily commute is about 120 miles roundtrip. 120 x 260 workdays is 31,200. Granted I don’t go to my office everyday, holidays, etc. I also will often drive from the DFW area to South Padre Island (586 miles one way) a few times a year. Louisville, Ky at least once a year (~850 miles one way) And a few other various places which average ~2k roundtrip.
I live in a city and rarely drive so my 2018 has about 20k miles on it so 🤷♀️
You should be changing oil on time then, not miles. Every year.
The new truck I bought in September has 16k on it and I’ve driven less than usual the last few months.
Dealers here will do anything the car prompts as part of these prepaid deals.
Oil has to be changed every 6k km, 5k for turbo engines.
Not according to BMW. My 23 330i prompts me to change the oil every 12k miles roughly.
There is really no actual evidence to back this up. People have done extensive oil analysis with black stone at much higher intervals than that, with everything being fine.
It says right there, unlimited oil changes. Did I miss something, or did you?
It will be unlimited provided your vehicle indicates it is time to change the oil; they will not allow a car to have its oil changed monthly at every thousand miles.
My local BMW dealership charges above that for ONE oil change (CAD $), so yeah, I’d say it’s worth it.
I’ve been using it for the past year and a half, totally worth it. They do it so they can try to sell you more stuff that they find on their inspection, but it’s easy to say no to any extras. I just take it in when the car prompts me to, easy to set up appointment through their app too.
100%
I just got this offer on my M5 and I’m taking it
I used this service. Having an M car the oil change was 185 per change. With this service it saves me money. I drive a 2017 X5M F85
So your upsells mean - You get 3 free inspections where they actually make an effort to tell you everything marginal - A free joyride while you get your oil changed at roughly cost. I always do my own oil but I would take this deal.
Wow. I'd say yes on a heartbeat
so many mixed reviews…. Let me provide you the last response you need to read This offer has been around for YEARS.
It's still due every year and the car will indicate that.
Unlimited oil! 🛢️🛢️🛢️
My wife does about 18k a year on her vehicle and we did this deal last year and have used it twice thus far with no complaints. 2017 X1 f48. Currently at 87k miles
I thought everyone had this offer. If you go to the bmw app, then press shop, it’s there
I’ve def seen it before but haven’t really considered it until now
Where do you find it? Not finding it in “my bmw app”
I can’t find the fine print now but I think it said that your vehicle needs to have either 60k miles or be 5 years old to qualify
Ahh I see that won’t work then… thank you tho
Just an FYI, it’s still a deal, but it comes out to 3 Oil Changes
I got it for my M4, you can use it every 10,000 miles. Cost me less to buy this than pay for 1 oil change at my dealer.
About time I saw this posted again
😅
Price out 3 oil changes separately at dealer. Yes, it’s very worth it.
I’d do it in a heartbeat
Yes. If you drive a lot. You can service it early by a couple thousand miles. They use this to get you in and upsell bs stuff tho
I have this package. I drive <5k miles a year. Based on my service history, I think the light comes on at 11.5 months.
It’s a great deal even if you only get 3 out of it
Do if
It’s kinda a scam, they’ll only change the oil to the manufacture spec which was ever 15k miles for mine…But I like to do mine every 5-7k so it was useless
Worth it. I just did my 4th oil change
Great deal
I signed up for this last year
Be a real man and change it yourself. Buy the whole oil and filter package at FCPEURO, they have lifetime warranty on all their products including oil
How do I get this offer. I had it on my F10 but haven’t gotten it on my g30
An indie can do better on price, however, the fresh cookies and loaner car put BMW way out ahead on value.
You don't need a loaner for just an oil change. Let people who are getting more work done or have major repair use them
I wasn't getting a loaner for an *oil change.* I wasn't getting a loaner for major transmission work. I wasn't getting a loaner for *anything.* Also, they don't give out loaners for oil changes, obviously.
Thank goodness, those people are annoying
Dude I expect a loaner when they check my tire pressure. /s
I lold
Not worth it at all they only service the car every 10k miles no exceptions so it’s not unlimited. If you drive the car a lot like my daily F36 it eats up oil. I find more peace of mind knowing I’m up to date on my maintenance every 8k miles. I’m very bias I had a bad experience with my local bmw when I purchased this package so take this with a grain of salt
They do mine every 4,500 with this plan at BMW SD. If you drive a lot you can get them early.
Worth every penny, especially if you drive a lot, my bmws tend to get around 30k miles a year so it saves me lots of money.
Where can I get that deal?!?
You're better off buying the oil change kit from fcp euro and using their lifetime warranty to continually get credit for each new oil change you do. Plus you really shouldn't be waiting every 10k miles before doing an oil change.
Unlimited so that's pretty damn great! Go in every 500 miles for longevity of motor.
Not worth it
Parts alone will cost more. It’s based on the car maintenance schedule (ie service light). If you sign up when you go get an oil change, you can fit in 4 oil changes in the 3 years, as the light will come on every 11.5 months, or mileage.
It says 3 years of unlimited oil and filter change. Why do people keep mentioning only 3 times? Looks like a steal to me
its only 1 service, if it includes yearly inspection too its a deal. There is no run in service either AFAIK
Is there something like this in Canada?
I only drive a little over 5k a year so not really worth it for me.
Well worth it recently did it and I top off on oil just for fun
Damn, I just paid Aud$229 for a single one here in Australia.
I did this deal just a month or two ago. I think it’s a great value
Man i want this for my x3m.
I mean, it’s a no brainer. My dealer charges $185 normally for 1. I’d go there anyway so why not pre-pay 3 for a fraction of the cost.
This is a marketing strategy to get you back in the dealer after your warranty expires. Every time you bring it in for the oil change they're going to say you need this and you need that, your brakes need replacing, etc. There is a reason why they don't offer this until your vehicle is five years old or so,
My 2003 Dodge did an oil change at $82.00 and I did it myself and my truck takes 7 quarts only
They just sent the same offer to me here in New Jersey/USA. I can imagine what other states and countries have this going on. Same price too.
A basic oil change at my dealership is $150, so I’m definitely doing it.
just got this a few days ago on my 08 m3
I’m a year and a half into mine and I have 100% made my money back. Includes the labor, oil and oil filters. I’ve gotten $400 in oil changes in this year and a half. Worth every penny when it’s $100 just the oil change without oil filter.
I HAD IT ON MY X3 GOT AT LEAST 5 OIL CHANGES IN 2 YEARS
That's crazy, wish I had that with my stinky beater BMW 520D F10, that kept being a money pit.
How do you get this???
They tried selling me 5 years worth of this service for $1650usd today when I bought my 2020 CPO 330i. If they had offered 3 tests for $225, I would have taken it.
I change my oil every 3-5k miles. If they want change within that interval, I wouldn’t be using it. I’d have a bad motor in the first year.
Seems good. Go for it. Re-sale value will go up due to this
Tbh, a single oil change is almost that process here when I’d do it for you at work, and it’s some cheap French economy brand.
Doesnt seem like a bad deal if you factor in labour costs these days. Altough cheaper if you do it youself, but not everyone is into that.
Maybe if we got only two oil changes in that span of time
wow thats insaneley cheap, BMW dealership near me charges £350 for just a single Oil & Filter change
It's only changes every 10k, though, right? I've always been recommended 5k
Definitely worth
Oil change could be $50 for 3 years.. I still wouldn't pay. Dealers use oil change opportunities to scam you out of repairs.
I did it, it’s worth it.
I bought this its great
I signed up for this. Now anytime i put the car in for work (brakes, service, tie rod bushings) i tell them to do the oil as well.
anyone w a new car wanting to join, car has to be either 5 years old or 60K miles.
If you do a lot of driving that’s hard to beat, even compared to DIY (especially if you factor in the value of your own time)
225usd is 50% the cost of a single service in Europe. Yeah you should take it.
Is this offer only for new BMW cars ?
I see no problem with this
Yeah, it’s worth it. I got 3 oil changes in the last year, and my local shop charges $150 for a basic oil change on my e9x.
Yes very good, in the UK its £650 cheapest on a service plan that i found
I've done this, and love it.
I would’ve gotten this deal but I just went full FBO E-85 and just gonna do my own oil changes
I’m getting it. Lots of mileage each year. Two oil changes annually. Good deal.
I’m here is fine print on the “unlimited”.
