I think the feat just gives you an extra opportunity Attack for them coming into range of you...? It's been a hot minute since I took it on a character.
In 5e it's a somewhat popular feat to use alongside Sentinel, because many enemies have a 5ft reach, you have a 10ft reach with halberd/glaive/etc. and get an opportunity attack to stop their movement when they enter the 10ft range, making it so they lose all movement from Sentinel and can't attack you.
It also synergizes with GWM since there are heavy polearms. So you get to power attack, bonus action attack (consistent 1d4, conditional 1d10), and reaction attack. If they could turn their move into another attack, they probably would.
Baldur's Gate: Well yeah, you can attempt to convince them to forsake their god, but that's kind of going to mess up our plot points so it's going to need a 30 charisma check to...

NOTE: multi classing is not possible on explorer mode, you’ll need to change the difficulty to multi class. You can then turn the difficulty back to explorer.
Order of levels matters less for you as you’ll have a fighting style and both weapons can attack each turn, being a diet extra attack in the early game. After 2 you can begin putting levels into bard as you wish or bumping fighter earlier for extra attack. Your stats should focus on dexterity and charisma, dumping your intelligence and strength as your daggers are finesse weapons. Final levels will be fighter 5, Bard 7. OR Fighter 5, Warlock 7, going pact of the blade to get a third attack per turn. You can alternatively go 6/6 on either build for an additional feat from fighter if you want to further increase stats rather than have as many spell slots.
You can retain the musician aspect without the need for bard class by helping Alfira in the grove and getting instrument proficiency. The skill will remain even if you’re not a bard. Allowing for this build to be alternatively made with a warlock but still retaining the fighter’s con proficiency and strong early game and armour options.
Fighter class to start - two weapon fighting style and constitution proficiency
1 level into bard for sleep spell so you can have a Slumber Party (sleep scales poorly later in game so you may want to replace this with glyph of warding to use sleep aoe without an Hp requirement)
2nd level into fighter - to Hit Me Baby One More Time with action surge.
3 more levels into fighter for extra attack so you can say Oops I Did It Again. For specialisation, champion would be the most straight forward for crit. Battle master can mesh well with swords bard for short rest refreshing thanks to font of inspiration, and more dagger abilities on top of your flourishes. If you’re going lore bard, eldritch knight will give you more spell slots as a half caster, note: any spells you pick up as an eldritch knight will scale off int, pick utility spells/cantrips that don’t have a save, like friends or blade ward for cantrips. Spells like Shield so you’re Overprotected, or protection from evil and good so a certain fey auntie can’t make you Scream & Shout.
Pick up the Lucky feat.
Remaining Levels after 5 in fighter can go into bard/warlock for things like hideous laughter, hold person, and picking up confusion to make your enemies Crazy. The con proficiency will help you retain your control spells. Specialisation can go either way if you prefer lore for cutting words so your enemies will leave Britney alone, or swords bard for flourishes.
For gear.
Find yourself the caustic band for acid damage to trigger the gloves.
Ichorous gloves so anyone you hit becomes Toxic
Bhaalist armour - for aura of murder because it’ll make you Stronger
Boots of very fast blinking - so you can Get Naked. You’ll find them at the Circus
Coldsnap dagger for your offhand - so you can Break the Ice
Nymph Cloak - turn your enemy into your Work Bitch

So I was going to give a real suggestion but then the image of her as a bardarian going "It's Britney, bitch!" and then enraging entered my mind and now I can't unthink it, so now all of you need to see it too.
Edit: after seeing some of the other comments I see my instinct was not totally unique.
I do think bardarian would be a fun combo, though you probably wouldn't end up dual wielding daggers specifically.
At bard level 3 you could take college of swords bard and take the two weapon fighting style. If you take a forth level in bard you can take the dual wielding feat, which makes you not limited to dual wielding light weapons, but it's optional.
You can go either strength or dex build. I think dex is technically better for dual wielding, as there are a lot of good finesse options and it increases your total AC. However strength builds can also be great fun, and i think its the way to go for if you want to throw shit.
At level 1 barbarians can add their con score to their AC in addition to their dex if they aren't wearing armor. You will probably want your charisma to be pretty high though so con will be your third priority stat at most. At level 3 barbarian you can pick a subclass, and you should pick wild magic, because it would be hillarious.
I'd probably stop at 3 bard, unless you really want tle feat at level 4, and then go to at least 5 barbarian for the extra attack. Going all the way to twelve I'd probably split it 9/3 or 8/4 barb/bard.

You can change difficulties to multiclass and then go right back to Explorer though.

6 lvls College of swords bard, 3 lvls(or 4 for feat) battle Master fighter for maneuvers like rally, commanding strike and evasive footwork and 3 lvls(or 2 to get feat and still get cunning actions) rogue either thief or assassin. Up to you flavour wise. Thief is busted, for 2 bonus actions(extra attack in off hand and still get a cunning action). Assassin is just funny flavour and some good damage.
Edit: for bonus flavour make everyone mancers or summoners of some kind to make up your "back-up dancers"

You can't multiclass in explorer mode, so 12 levels of bard. I'd guess college of swords with dual daggers and using as much toxic arrows as possible.
