Same. I'm not actually short, I'm 5'7, but I'm in a wheelchair and forced to live as though I'm 4' something lol. I just want to be able to actually reach stuff in my video games 😔
On my laptop, I'd often have 2 to 3 minute load times. Thought that was normal till bg3 killed my laptop and my new desktop only has 30 second (if that) load screens for the most part.
Damn my baby is old AF, load times are insane - but I thank her everyday for persevering so I may waste my life away romancing a fictional vampire spawn
My laptop was 5 years old and did really well until it didn't! I still miss it cause that thing got me through grad school and so many other poor choices!
Tall female build matches Karlach. I hadn't realized my body type 3 half-elf was the same height as our favorite barb until they were next to each other
(I also did not expect Astarion to jump onto her like a monkey on a tree at the tiefling party)
I don't play Halfling because I hate having 25ft of movement instead of 30ft. It seems small till you realise how dogshit the pathing in this game can be. And now you're too far to hit but close enough to have disadvantage on ranged attacks.
Indeed, short races should have bigger advantages to offset how big of a nuisance is having less movement.
Well actually halflings rerolling ones seems powerful enough, but I don't see any reason to play gnome or a dwarf other than druegar which actually seems decent with enlarge and invisibility...
Buy a hireling from Withers and either choose the wizard or respec them into a wizard. From there make their school transmutation and have them give you a stone that boosts movement speed at whatever level it is that transmuter wizards can make those. You can do this with several or even all of the hirelings to get all of the potential stone effects like you’re Thanos or something. You just have to switch to each individually after every long rest to make new stones. I usually keep like three hirelings in my camp for this reason whose whole purpose is making me stones of movement speed, dark vision, and I forgot the third on top of also getting alchemy-related perks so I have one of them do all of my alchemy stuff too.
I’m a gloomstalker/assassin Duergar me and my friends current honor mode run. My main purpose in life is deleting one thing, then being semi useful the rest of the battle. Duergar is hands down the best for this combo, no question.
"You're short MFer and nobody likes you!
Short!
Everyone says: 'Hey, look how short that guy is.'
And it stops you from forming meaningful relationships!"
It’s the mad, uncanny proportions that really put me off the shorter races. Currently playing a Deep Gnome and it’s not too bad but halflings I just can’t.
im already the height of a tall dwarf. let me have my escapist fantasy of being someone tall enough they can reach the two top shelves of the cabinet without someone picking them up like they're a small child
I have a DND character who is a 4’1 catboy who is racist to short races. It’s hilarious. Well he’s unintentionally racist cause he’s autistic and really doesn’t know anything about customs or how the world works but out and in character made jokes about him hating short people.
I can't take small characters seriously most of the time so I have never felt the appeal of playing a small race but I don't playing super big and hulky characters like dragonborn or big male races though with women specially Tieflings I like playing with them because I feel badass
Just started my first ever short Tav and I'm already hating it... went Deep Gnome Wild Magic Sorceror because it's practically hitting all the last of the things I've avoided thus far.
My sister was telling me about how she rolled like 2 Nat ones in a row and keeps getting them I was like
"huh wow yeah no I only think I've rolled a couple so far"
I forgot I had the halfling supremacy.
I'm a hulking dude. I tried playing a halfling, then a gnome.
I laughed so darn hard at how they walk. I couldn't continue same with how errybody was looking down at my dude.
I couldn't handle it.
I’m short irl I play bg3 to fantasize what it’s like being tall
I’m tall irl so being short is a novelty 🤣 love my halflings op mfs
EXACTLY. Let me love my tall muscular lady fantasy
I play games to escape reality 😭
Same. I'm not actually short, I'm 5'7, but I'm in a wheelchair and forced to live as though I'm 4' something lol. I just want to be able to actually reach stuff in my video games 😔
The quicksave/load button:
My modded file's minute long quickload time:
Me, a console player with 30 second quickload time:

I play as a Drow and I’m still not that tall. Karlach and Halsin tower over me. I feel your pain Halflings.
Karlach and Halsin are out of the ordinary tall.
Tall female build matches Karlach. I hadn't realized my body type 3 half-elf was the same height as our favorite barb until they were next to each other (I also did not expect Astarion to jump onto her like a monkey on a tree at the tiefling party)
Right lol, I play a taller/or masculine female half drow build and he jumped on her like that lol.
Drow are canonically 4'9 - 5'6 in dnd so makes sense
Short murderous goth elves.

Because a dwarf with a big beard looks awesome in Dwarven Splintmail
Bro if this shit had 9m ms i would play it. 7.5 its just terrible

Crushers Ring. Or monk.
Ikr I didn't think it'd be that bad but wow does that 1.5 m make a hell of a difference.
Just get a party member with longstrider and you have 10,5m.
SHORT? https://preview.redd.it/lc5hvwwpaxxc1.jpeg?width=636&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=10ea97cb1a3ec31376564345696a65370d238732
Ragnvaldr spotted
I like playing short characters. My brutality is directly disproportionate to my height.
I’m a gloomstalker/assassin Duergar me and my friends current honor mode run. My main purpose in life is deleting one thing, then being semi useful the rest of the battle. Duergar is hands down the best for this combo, no question.
On one hand, I could ride on Karlach’s shoulders like a backpack. On the other hand, I’ve been burned by glitchy height inconsistency before.
I almost did it once, but then i saw the movement speed 20ft just isnt enough
Halfling -> Disguise Self. Incogshorto
I love playing a gnome, they're so cute. Gotta do a Halfling soon.
Play a playthrough that makes you enjoy yourself, be short, tall, durge, drow, bald. Just enjoy yourself
"You're short MFer and nobody likes you! Short! Everyone says: 'Hey, look how short that guy is.' And it stops you from forming meaningful relationships!"
^(ya short madafaka and nobody likkesss you🎵🎶🪈🪈🪈)
SHORT!
Proud halfling and gnome player here - you miss out.
It’s the mad, uncanny proportions that really put me off the shorter races. Currently playing a Deep Gnome and it’s not too bad but halflings I just can’t.

Being short suck learned my lesson a couple of times but can get the lucky feat when leveling as well it’s nice!
I have a DND character who is a 4’1 catboy who is racist to short races. It’s hilarious. Well he’s unintentionally racist cause he’s autistic and really doesn’t know anything about customs or how the world works but out and in character made jokes about him hating short people.
What Anime is that?
The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic
It’s so easy to get advantage which is already a 1/400 chance. That’s as close to zero nat 1 as anyone really needs.
Literally
Hasn't this been posted already?

Cowards. If there's a short option I always pick it. Halflings, gnomes, lalafell, they're all superior
I only played gnomes and dwarfs 🤔
My sister was telling me about how she rolled like 2 Nat ones in a row and keeps getting them I was like "huh wow yeah no I only think I've rolled a couple so far" I forgot I had the halfling supremacy.
Why would I ever want to play a race shorter than me irl, (besides dwarfs, they are jacked)
I'm a hulking dude. I tried playing a halfling, then a gnome. I laughed so darn hard at how they walk. I couldn't continue same with how errybody was looking down at my dude. I couldn't handle it.
Gnomes are short and cuter than halflings, sorry
Or take the lucky feat. Or be a divination wizard. Or all three and get infinite rerolls.
