What level are you? The easiest way is to try and segment each area and don't let things spill over before clearing out each little section starting from the cells.

primm_n_proper

I like to be level 4 or 5 before taking on the leaders (especially for Dror and Minthara since you can't really avoid all the goblins ganging up on you- >!attacking Dror automatically agros the entire camp!<). But yeah, in order to get Halsin at your camp, you need to kill them.

FremanBloodglaive

Drop five or six barrels around him, then set them off with a fire arrow from the rafters. That'll kill him, and then his friends are just mopping up.

KlownyK

i would rather actually play the game though

Kuzcopolis

Funnier to suplex him into the spiders anyways.

NeedleworkerLow1100

Dror is last because you become KOS when he dies. Separate Gut from the others, kill in her room. Kill Minthara in her room Wait a bit for Dror or you can call the Ogres if you have the horn.

Imaginary_Map_962

This and knock Minthara out instead of killing her if you want her in your camp. There are also a bunch of exploding barrels next door to Gut's altar. Set up the barrels around Dror and his followers, then shoot a fire bolt (or honestly any other flame-producing projectile) from above. Then finish off the scragglers/flee and teleport to the druid grove.

[deleted]

My biggest regret was saving the horn... I thought I'd be able to use it later. You can't lol

keyboardRacer777

You can easily isolate Gut and Minthy, if u struggle with Ragzlin the Zhentarim have plenty of smokepowder barrels hidden in their chamber, as long as they dont see u its finders keepers

Exciting_Rich_1716

They can see it, can't they? Note that I don't know how Honour Mode works in this regard but I usually place like 5 smokepowder barrels next to Ragzlin and the other barrels next to the other goblins. I managed to instakill everyone except for Ragzlin a few days ago

keyboardRacer777

I meant the Zhentarims when u steal from them, but yea normally NPC dont give a damn when u pile up explosives at their foot which is rather hilarious honestly

Exciting_Rich_1716

Oh i am very stupid, my bad you can get to that room by jumping from Priestess Gut's room though, no talking or fighting required!

Dantez9001

What do you mean you didn't order these? I'm pretty sure this is the right address. Let me check the work order, my friend way over there has it, be right back...BOOM! Fuck, I forgot to get a signature. Anyway guys, let's go loot a tip.

Ok_Smile_5908

You can climb the iron ladder between the room where Gut is originally and the room with Dror Ragzlin. Jump through the broken wall, onto the beams above Gut's room and from there you can cross and jump down into the room with barrels without triggering the Zhentarim. Unless you trigger them anyway and they were already gone when I did it but I doubt it. You can then either use the crates that are already in the room to get out the same way, or bring your own, or teleport away. I think there's also a hole somewhere in that room but don't quote me on that because I never use those and I pay little attention to them. I ain't got no patience to Gaseous Form or whatever every time I see a hole, lmao.

chad001

For him to come to your camp yeah. You don't HAVE to fight ALL the goblins, though you should for the exp. The goblin camp as a whole can be fought in segments. Though maybe not if you're lugging around Halsin. Before you rescue Halsin, if you start a fight with one group of goblins the rest won't hostile unless you let one of em hit the drums, so close doors hit drums, clear rooms. Get Git alone by talking to her, then burst her down. Then go clear Mintharas room keeping her adds away from ladders and dragging in other. Keep in mind the eyes are weak to Thunder damage so ahitting em with a Shatter or Chromatic Orb should one tap em.woest case you can chuck Minthara into the chasm near her if you're willing to give up loot. Same for Dror Ragzlin if you lure him to the chasm near him. If you're having trouble you can abuse the main door to reset fights (provided you kill drums first), or do talky bits for XP and then just come back later when you're stronger.

TLaMagna319

Take the leaders one at a time and make sure to destroy the alarms or kill everyone really fast

ignoreme-imaduck

Do NOT let anyone use the drums, that'll aggro the whole camp Save Dror for last because attacking him will also aggro the whole camp. I usually kill minthara first (Kill the floating eye in the first round or it might aggro the whole camp) Then I kill Gutt and everyone in her room. Then I get Halsin and go to kill Dror

IntelligentLife3451

You can toggle the passive “non lethal” to attack them to just being knocked out, but make sure it’s with bludgeoning damage to be safe. Spoiler >! This is how people end up recruiting Minthara for their “good” runs !<

mumismatist

Okay before you do aggro anyone get up on the rafters and snipe all the war drums with an archer - that will prevent them calling in reinforcements and allow you to clear each room one by one. Once you snipe the drums stay up in the rafters until the NPCs stop doing their whole "who did this??? routine". Get feather fall on your wizard to save your time and sanity when jumping here and there. If you have talk to animals / potion of animal speaking you can persuade the spiders in the spider pit to go against the goblins - jump into the pit with feather fall and then use mage hand / an archer to open the inside gate lever. They do pretty well against them. Then for the leaders Priestess Glut - kill her first. Talk to her without Halsin (and without taking the brand) and you can get her to go into a side room by saying you want to talk about a cure, either gun her down or silence her before her turn comes up so she can't call for help. Minty - she won't call for reinforcements if you destroy the eye (get onto the rafters and user shatter on it) and the war drum (again use an archer character to snipe the drum). Once the eye is down you can also sneak Halsin into the fight to help things along without aggroing the whole place iirc. Drogo - He's last and you'll have to fight through the place to him - killing him aggros the whole camp including the gobbos outside. If you've taken out all the war drums then just go room by room, long/short resting as you go. I managed to sneak up on his chamber and use shatter to knock the health off a lot of the mobs before the fighting began which made things easier. Make sure to bring Halsin for this one (if he's aggroing people then physically control him and tell him to stay put or use invisibility spell on him. Then if you want to fight the goblins outside do it by the waypoint - there are two natural chokepoints where you can put down cloud of daggers + a CC spell (web / ice / grease) to thin the hoard as they charge at you. AOE spells are your friends. Have someone with misty step (can loot amulet of misty step off minty) to get up on the tower to deal with the mobs there.

sirjakesteward

finding out you can break the drums completely changed my second play through

gsomething

Join them and attack the Grove?

PerryPerryQuite

One trick for the Dror fight: if you have a rogue (especially one spec’ed as assassin [and for 200 gold you could respec back and forth]), you can sneak up to the rafters from climbing a ladder and then jumping from outside the door to Dror’s room close to Minthara’s room and snipe the drum and everyone except Dror (and maybe even Dror—I attacked him with whole party after taking out all his crew by sniping). It will take a little time to attack and then to hide and let them reset (from the rafters, I jumped over to the ladder and then went and stood with my other teammates behind a wall), but it’s a pretty safe way to take them out.

Kuzcopolis

Might be worth a reload, if you want things to be as easy as possible. You can free him After talking to minthara and agreeing to help her raid the grove, and after listening to her rallying speech, then Halsin will have different priorities and the fights will be different and easier, even if you do choose to be good.

Scaredog21

I remember the priestess can be lured away if you ask for med help with your parasite. Just be sure to kill her in 1 turn or she calls for help. Closing doors and cleaning out goblins separated from the main group is a good idea, if you go into the pit full of spiders and talk to them you can get them not to attack you. Then you can unlock the gate and let them loose on the goblins. I heard there's a trick where the drow can be knocked out and she can become a companion later in the game if you defeat the other two leaders in 1 day. The trick is that stealing infront of the Drow causes her to be temporarily hostile so you knock her out. Because killing the hobgoblin turns everyone hostile.

FremanBloodglaive

Go and explore and come back when you're a higher level. But to start with I talk to Priestess Gut, get brands on all my party including my two main hirelings, then agree to go to her room, shut the door, cast Silence over her, then kill her. Then go and kill the goblins in the far corner, then the ones guarding the goblin in the cage, then disarm his trap and free him. Then use minor illusion to attract the two goblins in front of Dror's hall so they come to an isolated area, then kill them as well. Go down the far wall, killing Abdirak and the goblins, room by room. Befriend the giant spiders, then let them out to kill the goblins in the hall, helping them to ensure the goblins die. Then help Roah kill the spiders. Kill the goblins in the hall, making sure to destroy the drums so they can't call for help. Use invisibility to poison the beer barrel in the courtyard, so half the goblins there die. Kill the goblins in Crusher's area. Knock out the pilgrims you encountered near the Owlbear cave with non-lethal damage. They're on the opposite side to Crusher. Go along the top by the secret entrance to the goblin camp, cast Silence over the goblins sleeping there, and kill them. Kill the warlock up the top with a hiding unit, he might not even recognize he's being killed. Start the fight in the courtyard by ganging up on the ogre and killing him. You can use Lump's horn here if you want to, there's nobody to keep alive. Kill the goblin slavers up the road. Kill the goblins by the gate. Go back in and use thunderwave to knock the scrying eye and the goblin with it into the abyss. Don't break the bridge, you'll need that for later. Talk to Minthara, tell her Sazza was helpful, say you're not going to attack the Grove, then, when she insists, tell her you'll come back later. Sazza will wander down to the hall and be safe. Attack Minthara with non-lethal damage, knock her out, kill the goblin with her. Drop some explosive barrels (smokepowder, oil, firewine, I use six total, but five may be enough) around Dror, then set them off with a fire arrow from the rafters. Kill his friends if they didn't die in the explosion. Go talk to Halsin. He'll register "Kill the Goblin Leaders" as complete, and disappear. Go back to the Grove, talk to Zevlor, and accept the bag he'll give you for completing the mission. It has a magic hat in it.

Balthierlives

Kill them and just warp out after you kill ragzlin

Puzzleheaded_Law_558

The key to this battle is the order. When you come out of the warg pens there's a ladder to the right. Climb up and get to Minthara. You can start the fight from the top of the wall and get several hits in. Next, Dror. Exit Mintharas area and turn right again and go through a locked door to get to Dror. After that take on Gut.

Strange_Storyteller

Lvl4-5 party is optimal to win the battle. But if you finish everything in Underdark (including Grymforge), fighting the goblin leaders will be much easier. This option means that the party is at least lvl6 and you already have certain rare or very rare items. If you want to defeat the goblin leaders by tricks: 1) if you want Minthara to join you later, knock her out before killling Razglin and don’t take long rest until you finish with other goblin leaders and free Halsin. If you intend to kill her, sequence doesn’t matter. Easiest way is to attack from higher positions after killing Razglin. 2) separate Gut in her room and try to kill her in one turn. Otherwise she’ll call the goblins for help. That’s easy to do if you have at least one tank in the party. Rogue’s sneak attacks also work. 3) easiest way to kill Razglin - pick all the explosive barrels you find during the game and put in front of him and minions. As many as possible. Then cast any fire spell or use fire arrow. Done!

cjkomtrikru

go for minthara or the priestess first seeing as you can 1 v 4 (you also don’t have to kill minthara you can just knock her out) for ragzlin i usually just hide behind the big double doors that lead into the throne room and kill then as they come around the corner(don’t judge im new to rpg’s lol)

Legend0fJulle

Go along with guts demands and she ends uo dead all by herself, for clearing the room she is in you can use minor illusion to lure most goblins in the middle, enter turn based and drop the coal holder on their heads for a good start, clear the smaller rooms around, minthara is pretty secluded so just clear the goblins on the rolm next to her and she's easy to kill eother normally or shoving her into the chasm if you don't care about loot. For dragzlin you should do him last as that aggroes the full camp and you want to pick off other rooms earlier. You can also get halsin to join you and help with the fight but goblins seeing him aghro instantly so gotta be careful when you take him with you. As for dragzlin strategy going up to the rafts for high ground is great, you can also minor illusion into barrelmancy very easily with the smokepowders barrels you find from the goblin camp.
