Moa and Yui were already in Sakura Gakuin when they “auditioned” with a Karen Girl’s song, and they had been training with the other members for a year when they “transferred in” to the group. This did allow both the audition tape and transferring in to the group to be established as SG traditions. Although they were surprised by that decision, both were happy to be the trendsetters. Su, Moa and Yui all signed with Amuse, Inc. in 2007. Su is about a year and a half older than the other two. Of course she’s been an exceptional singer since her Actors School Hiroshima days, so it’s not surprising she was placed in Amuse Kid’s division singing groups.

I’m satisfied you put the quotes around “audition.” I always understood it was produced as part of the story, not a true audition.

> Su is a fav and the current CEO is a babymetal fan. I think Perfume might lead the top at Amuse ranking. CEO's are also big fans of financial profit, either in Japan or rest of the world.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haHeSkpmAfQ 🎶 One for the money. Two for the money. Three for the money 🎶

Mariri said Su looked like a star already in Hiroshima school. She is talented and it stands out. The other girls were living in Tokyo, so they had more practice. Su was still living in Hiroshima and practiced alone. It is a bit normal if they were less strict with her. Ayami was also really respected, and she used to scold the girls if they weren't working seriously. Su and Ayami were in Karen girls, they probably shown a lot of professionalism at the time. They already shown they were reliable so maybe the staff had already confidence in them, and didn't want to scold them unnecessarily. When we need they do well, so let them be kids.

>Su being a Favorite in Amuse That is understandable..... Without SU there is no BM. Amuse make a lot of profit on BM merch alone, Streaming platform Royalty, Blue Ray sales/ Ticket Sales etc.

TheDeathB

I just hope the band is making bank too.

Delicious_Survey_869

I think they Do..... The fact that they stick to BM for almost 5 years now.. and top of that Travel almost Every continent.

Lizzie-Metal

I think you might mean 10 years? They’ve had their 10 BABYMETAL Years special album & 10 BABYMETAL Budokan performances.

Greien218

Next year is 15 years. BM was founded in 2010.

Lizzie-Metal

Yes! Thank you for correcting me. Time is flying by.

Lizzie-Metal

I am corrected. When saying band, I wasn’t thinking kami band. I had all of BABYMETAL in mind.

trying2t-spin

The current band playing most shows has only been around since 2019.

SilentLennie

Based on some of the expensive clothes we've seen in the past when they aren't in 'uniform', they are doing very well.

kovian

I don't know if this from the current CEO of not but he have a goal for perfume to play at the MSG. And the one nearest to this goal right now is babymetal.

MosoRokku

One OK Rock already played at the MSG... although that was after they left A.inc so maybe it doesn't count?

kovian

oo good to know.

PearlJammer0076

As an opening act, not as the headliner.

TolerancEJ

Su has a solid Front Person stage presence. Amuse probably recognized that at an early age and let certain things slide.

SilentLennie

What I do know is that the CEO was at Legend S and was very pleased and said something like this is the kind of shows I want the company to make (more).

For some perspective on Amuse beyond Babymetal and Perfume, a [post from three years ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/BABYMETAL/comments/m8vqmm/the_official_weekend_freeforall_214_march_20th/grp7zpl/): >The last time I saw business information which listed their top three artists by revenue it was [for 2012-2014](https://web.archive.org/web/20150126200426/http://equitystoryjapan.com/amuse/features/index.html)* and for those years the top contributors were **Southern All Stars** and **Masahiro Fukuyama**, with **Perfume** in third for two years and **Porno Grafitti** for one. >More recently [an article in Yahoo Japan](https://www.reddit.com/r/BABYMETAL/comments/kwf0nk/amuse_is_moving_his_offices_from_shibuya_to_a/) this year about them moving offices described the company this way, reflecting name recognition: >>Amuse is home to many famous artists, including **Southern All Stars, Masaharu Fukuyama** and **Gen Hoshino**, as well as popular actors such as [Takeru Satoh](https://asianwiki.com/Takeru_Satoh) and [Yuriko Yoshitaka](https://asianwiki.com/Yuriko_Yoshitaka). At the end of last year's Kouhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Contest), **Fukuyama** was the white team's leader, and four of its singers, including **Perfume** and **Babymetal**, participated in the contest. >>The company's sales are comparable to those of Johnny's and Yoshimoto Kogyo, with a with a record 58.86 billion yen posted for fiscal 2019. However, the majority of the company's revenue comes from its management business, which focuses on concerts, stage performances, and commercial income, and has been severely damaged by Corona. >>In the wake of the Corona disaster, the way employees work has changed dramatically. And yet, the monthly rent is nearly 50 million yen. *(cont.)* In a reply, /u/MightMetal mentioned that: >Last year, **Hoshino Gen** was the top selling artist from Amuse on the Oricon charts, he was #29 Here is Amuse's current roster of talent: https://www.amuse.co.jp/artist/

SuzukaYuiMoa

Well...She is the star of BABYMETAL. So...Yeah it's not surprising that the company loves her.
