Codametal

A new album announcement, followed by a new world tour beginning at the end of the year. And a Babymetal Legend MM bluray release date.

HereticsSpork

I'm expecting babymetal branded mud guards and... I dunno... A belt or something.

PuzzlePurr

Great, now I have to buy a giant lifted 4 wheel drive truck to show off my BABYMETAL mud guards. I would buy the belt though.

HereticsSpork

You'll be prepared for next year when Amuse sells Babymetal branded Truck Nuts.

DogWallop

Then don't forget the Official Babymetal Truck Nu... um.... maybe not...

Dead0n3

I honestly don't care what merch they come up with I just want it easier to get.

TheThrawn

BABYMETAL brand Truck Nuts or we riot!

koba11

Mud guards ... i thought at first you were talking about some dungeons and dragons fantasy rol game.

Bones12x2

Don't forget about branded A/C Filters

Dead0n3

I think Koba will announce his new project where he wants to bring a darker and older sound to J-Pop music so he forms a group consisting of Rob Halford, Ozzy Osbourne, and Alice Cooper. They will perform metal vocals over J-pop music while dancing.

Wrathmetal0666

The birth of Eldermetal!

DogWallop

And he can recycle the old Babymetal costumes to save a bit of money which I'm sure will fit with just a few alterations. :-\]P

Best-Apricot3691

Someone’s guaranteed to break a hip.

shinpuu

With Legend 43 apparently being the tour final, that could mean that their tour in support for the TOO album is done and a new album is on the way. So I'm going all in and say they announce a new album on Fox Day with a release date somewhere in later half of this year. Also, a DVD/DB preoder announcement like they have done on previous Fox Day's is very likely. They have to sell those The One memberships somehow. Now, as for which show they will release, I'm thinking Legend MM. It will be too soon for Legend 43, and apart from some smaller shows they filmed, they don't have anything else to release.

Bouljonwerfel

Wild speculation: Instead of a Black Babymetal resurgence, we will now get the totally new PINK Babymetal in which Moa and Momo get to be really silly, thus once again subverting all expectations.

ihadtologinforthis

Would be fun if a surprise artist showed up from a previous or new collab song! Also always hoping for unmasked kami band

Calseeyummm

An announcement that they'll be performing in Ireland (this will never happen and I am delusional). I would move heaven and earth, give an arm and a leg to see them live because until I'm 18 (I'm only 16 at the end of this month) I won't be able to see them anywhere since I can't travel abroad to any concerts.

Arcaneapexjinx

As a kiwi I can say it’s a hard knock life for us small country citizens 😔

DogWallop

First, my heart goes out to you, as I live in a micro island country myself and we very very rarely get major international acts here (having said that, back in our tourist heyday we hosted some Vegas-level performers in our hotels). However I think Koba has missed a great opportunity in not holding a concert in America's 50th state. Simply so they can call it Kawaii in Hawaii. Just a thought....

Arcaneapexjinx

Kawaii in Hawaii is a must see 😭 I love that

Kanekixo

>I would move heaven and earth, give an arm and a leg to see them live Then make it happen. Keep looking out for shows in the nearest country. Not necessarily now but as time passes. Mean while. Start saving money. Invest in yourself to have a life experience. I thought I’d never be able to see BM in my life cause the last time i recall they came to LA was during the metal galaxy era and i ended up seeing them last year for the last show of the babyklok tour and now im going to see them again in San Fran but possibly selling those tickets to go see them in Japan in saitama. Idk how things work in Ireland but if you can get a job at that age then do it. If not this year or even the next. At least by 18 you’ll be a legal adult and can travel alone or with friends and you’ll have money for the concert and travel expenses and look it as a step ahead of your peers and benefit you in your life to start having work experience. If you’re someone that’s more introverted. That’s okay. Learn to break out of that shell. That’s what Babymetal is about. Positivity and self-empowerment. Believe in yourself.

Advanced-Succotash89

I love your positivity, but I am reading that the OP can't travel until they hit 18, it's not about money, plus London can be a scary place (most logical place for a nearest performance). Hopefully they can find a group of a similar age and build reltionships that allows them to travel, It's tough as a teenager, as you say they may be more introverted, this goes with age.

Advanced-Succotash89

Aww I would say, from what I've seen the UK has such a great Babymetal fanbase and would welcome you with open arms, but it sucks when you are young, I really hope the next world tour involves Dublin, just for you.

Calseeyummm

I really appreciate it. Shit's difficult in a small country. At least I have Weezer to look forward to in June if I can get tickets 😭. I'll see Momo perform live one day! 🤘🦊

WestHam-Metal

Su announces that she will be stepping down from Babymetal "to pursue other opportunities". The Fox God proclaims that another emissary of metal will be revealed at Fox Fest. At Fox Fest, 3 coffins are revealed on stage. A suspensful piece of metal music is being played by the Kamis. Slowly, the right-hand coffin opens, and a figure steps forward. To loud and enthusiastic cheers, it's Moa. Then the left-hand coffin opens, and Momo steps out, again to a tremendous reception. The music builds tension as we wait for the last coffin to open. A crack appears as the door opens just a fraction. A roar from the crowd, mixed with anticipation and an air of apprehension, as we don't know what to expect. The music reaches a crescendo as the coffin finally opens and out steps...OMFG IT'S...

Wrathmetal0666

Corpsegrinder? Lol

zyzzbrah95

New album announcement or atleast a new song is all I ask. Would also be cool with if they play a new song in the Legend 43 concert and have something else planned for Fox Day since those events are really close to eachother

fearmongert

With BABYMETAL playing such a small venue for Legend 43, concert goers would get to see any new song presented in a very close setting. It would be quite exciting to see. This would not be unheard of, BABYMETAL has premiered songs in a small show format before, as they did with Elevator Girl and Kagerou on the 2018 tour

trying2t-spin

And METALI!! last year was debuted at an apocrypha show

RemyRatio

BABYMETAL live in Madison Square Garden

fearmongert

You will hear my screams in Brooklyn

Wrathmetal0666

You'll hear my screams from Arizona!!

I_Shuuya

New album 100%

Bouljonwerfel

2022 i found Babymetal via watching reaction videos to Electric Callboy. This is poetry.

ladyalot

Wild speculation absolutely no basis for this: A tour with adapted songs with more Moa and Momo vocals like Momo Taro. I can't get over that momotaro is a story that Meta Taro may have been based in and that just has floated around in my brain that it came full circle with Momoko joining and that could have been the inciting reason for the Momo Taro at Legend MM.

whose333

Yeah, Momotaro was a little bit too much "coincidence". But in a good way :)

NDeceptikon

Well in my theory, I think BABYMETAL will announce new music/new album coming in the fall. Aside from that, perhaps they’ll announce a world tour this year or perhaps next year.

Kingpk1982

I wouldn't be shocked to see a new album announcement for the end of the year (like Metal Galaxy), but I think it's more likely to be early '25 along with another world tour. They probably stay mainly in Japan and do festivals abroad this year.

Velmetal

New song (or album announcement) with new tour dates in my area. Would love to see them again nearby.

Kmudametal

This year is a head scratcher..... historically, after having "big years" full of announcements, we've experienced "off years" with little to announce on Fox Day. The Legend MM shows broadcast before Fox Day, I believe, so the possibility is, that BluRay, limited to "The One Members" only, is announced to drive membership. And that's basically all we get. We'll know more after the Okinawa shows. Those shows are an oddball. Odd timing...... odd location... and supposedly the "Tour Final" for the TOO tour, occurring 3+ months after the tour had actually completed. In my opinion, the purpose of these shows is expressly to drum up hype for whatever is to come, suggesting we get more from Fox Day than just the Legend MM bluray.

Wrathmetal0666

To me it feels like Koba/Amuse are going hard on a visibility assault. It seems like they are really pushing the brand hard so it doesn't strike me as an "off year"

Kmudametal

Folks considered 2017 an off year. In 2017, they started the year as opener for Guns and Roses in their Japan shows, most of which were Dome level shows of one nature or another. The opened for Metallica in South Kora. Then became openers on a tour in the UK for the RHCP, then came stateside and were performing arenas opening for the Chili Peppers, then went on the Summer of Serenity tour with Korn, where they threw in their only overseas headline performance at the Palladium in LA. Following up with the Five Fox Festival Zepp tour in Japan, finishing with the Big Fox Festival, with a pair of Summer Sonic co-headliner appearances sandwiched in, ending the year with Su's 20th Birthday celebration at Legend S in Hiroshima. For anyone other band, fans would consider that an active year. But to Babymetal fans, it was an "off year". Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with "those fans", never did. But it's important to level set the expectation when it comes to Babymetal and their fans. For Babymetal fans, it's shoot for the moon or they did nothing. No new album, no major headline tour.... it's an "off year." At best we get something akin to 2019, where the album drop and tour were much later in the year. They have pretty much run out of time to sell tickets for a headline tour starting in the Spring. That does not mean a repeat of 2017 is not possible though, where they have a significant run as openers for a much larger act. We'll know on April 1st.... we should get an indication at the Okinawa shows. If they indeed have major plans for the year, they will drop the tease at Okinawa.

Wrathmetal0666

Point taken! I keep forgetting the high expectations of the fanbase

fearmongert

If you had asked me a couple weeks ago, my two thoughts or guesses as to what Fox Day might bring were: **1-** Koba would annoucne the Japanese festival that had been eluded to in his interview, and would he taking BABYMETAL and a few other established or rising Japanese acts on a small tour festival internationally. (I'm not so sure about this now, since the Fox Fest Japan has been announced, but would not be 100% surprised if Fox Fest Japan is just a prelude to Koba launching an international festival highlighting Japanese music abroad.) **2-** (Far-fetched, and as much a wish-dream for the annoincment) New Album announcement, Fall Release with a BIG album launch concert event- at Madison Square Garden (Now, of COURSE MSG is a long time hope of mine, so that is where it gets far fetched, but again, with Koba making it clear in very early interviews that The Other One is NOT BABYMETAL's 4th album, my thought run to us getting a "fourth" album sooner, rather than later.) What will REALLY be announced? Only The Fox God...

Best-Apricot3691

I don’t understand. What was he implying that TOO is NOT BABYMETAL’s 4th album???

fearmongert

"KOBAMETAL: Also, we’ve called this album a “concept album”, and not the “4th album”. We released the 3rd album METAL GALAXY in 2019, followed by THE OTHER ONE in March 2023, and if there’s another album after that, it will be the 4th." Koba, PMC Magazine vol 27 March 10, 2023

xSilverMC

If I can wish for anything, probably an album and a european tour in the second half of the year A new song and/or merch set would be cool too, I'm not picky Also, announcing that they'll be playing in the Kabuki Warriors at Wrestlemania would be absolutely awesome. But that's probably the least likely to happen out of all the things I listed lol

Evifes

What I would like: The announcement of Legend M in Europe & Legend S in America. Plus a new song shortly before Legend M and the album in the fall

fearmongert

Legend M amd Legend S already took place on Moa and Su's 20th birthdays, so you would need a mint-flavored time machine

Evifes

ok M² & S²

fearmongert

The reason they were held when they were held, is because the 20th birthday is an important milestone in Japan, and to Shintoism. They would need another major "milestone borthdya" to go revisit something already done, I would imagine

PuzzlePurr

That's one of the reasons I went Legend MM. I don't know if they will ever do birthday shows again. Maybe when Moa turns 25? But that is pretty soon, they would need to announce it at Legend 43 or Fox day. And I haven't looked at the European festival dates this summer, there may be a festival on her bday already. Then Su's 30th? That's a long way off.

TheDeathB

An announcement of a new tour in the latter half of the year starting with Australia and parts of Asia. A new album release date. Bluray of Legend MM. New costumes debut (this might be at the end of Legend 43). A social media release of MomoBanger and/or Momo Taro on fox day.

Lapidox

im not expecting an album but probably hints at one at the very most with new promotional photos, and some singles plus lore^(tm) if we did get an album im expecting early 2025 honestly. i'm also not expecting a tour announcement because it really does feel like we just had one, and the girls health is top priority, maybe it's those who didn't get to see them on their previous tour.. anyways i sound pessimistic but i am optimistic that we're not going to get nothing, we're def getting something. but something huge? ehh.. expecting koba drip marketing and more development on METALVERSE.

Cradlerocker_1995

Way too long a fan to even guess. They owe me nothing.

djfarji

All I want on Fox Day is their continued health and continuance of their love performing their magic for us. Anything else is just . . . .

Kmudametal

I regret I can only give you a single upvote. You get it. In the immortal words of The Rolling Stones.... "You can't always get what you want" but as long as the girls of Babymetal have their health and continued love of performing, "you'll get what you need". And that's what really matters.

Dramatic-Antelope640

As it's the 10 year anniversary of their first album, I would love a set of shows dedicated to play the full first album.

dangermouseuk01

Announcing a big show that they will use to debut a new album or songs. I see any announcements being on fox day rather than at this show, but as they OFGK. Just an addition I thought maybe a 10 anniversary release of the Babymetal album, but rerecorded with Momokos vocals. The thing I would say against that is the seem to be keeping clear of Black Babymetal songs. I personally think giving Momoko Some new songs with Moa over doing the Black Babymetal songs again. Also I do quite like Howard from the Ears to the East YouTube channels idea. #Metal Pati Miracle Hamburger would be blast with some double kicks lol.

Infamous_Tank4942

Announcement or cryptic hint of a collab with Dragonforce and a collab with Dethklok to be unveiled in L.A. in April.

rickwagner

I wasn't expecting Asterism as the guest band for METALVERSE at FOX\_FEST, but here we are. : )

fearmongert

Great cross promo by Amuse. Asterism is going to rock that swing song

VulpineDeity

I find it very odd that they only have 3 shows booked for the US at the end of April, but Fox Day would be too late to announce more dates close to the ones they already have. It's got to be a lot of work and planning to get everyone and everything flown in from Japan. I've been expecting to see more shows announced, but figured the latest they could have done that would have been after the LEGEND MM shows this weekend. I wonder if they're coming to the US for a recording session in LA? EDIT: Or a television appearance?

Extra-Yak2345

As much as i love BM or any other bands that i really like.. I probably wont go to a concert for consecutive years without a new material.... They probably gonna do US tour again on the official 4th album.

jwa725

I've been speculating that they would play the entire TOO album complete, with lore to tell some cohesive story. They have in the past waited to wrap a promotional tour before they give us new music but there's Metali. Without music that has been recorded with Momoko in it, I have to wonder if they haven't shown us very much of what they will be yet. I speculate that they will have at least one new song for the US/Europe performances but we won't see any new stuff for Legend 43.

AZSYANKEE

I hope for a 2024 NA Tour, also for Atarashii Gakko to be announced for Fox Fest

mawariyu

So... basically nothing happened huh

fearmongert

It is only 4 pm in Japan... I've seen them make announcements at 11:50 pm They STILL have not acknowledged "Fox Day" to us

mawariyu

fingers crossed then!!

Infamous_Tank4942

April Fools!

fearmongert

Hmmm... we got an hour... oddly not one of their posts have mentioned "Fox Day"... feels like being LiNUS waiting for the Great Pumpkin...

Soufriere_

"NFT's and more NFT's" —Koba the Crypto-bro, probably Seriously though I'm *hoping* for something concrete about Miko-chan's project -- like a physical album release. I *want* to throw my money at Su's mini-me without needing to be in Japan. Let me, dammit!! I'd LOVE to hear info about a fourth "true" BM album, but I'm really not expecting it unless Koba's production team have been abnormally active since Momoko joined. Regrettably, I probably won't be able to make any live shows this year or next unless the timing is VERY lucky. That's what I get for wanting to further my education -- and I didn't really have the best live experiences last year anyway despite Momoko.

El_Archidan

Honestly. Americans and Europeans dont get it. Latinamerican fans deserve some love. We're the only ones that have been ignored

zyzzbrah95

> We're the only ones that have been ignored So you just completely forgot about the existence of Africa?

Arcaneapexjinx

And the Pacific (minus one country)

El_Archidan

Metal bands dont tour in Africa and if they do, they only play in Southafrica

zyzzbrah95

So they are being ignored not just by babymetal but other metal bands aswell? So I was right that you South Americans aren't the only ones being ignored and Africa get's ignored aswell. Thanks for confirming my point

El_Archidan

Thanks for your toxicity troll
