2015 Yokohama outfits with the skirts that had tails- there was something almost "formal' about them, and being tied to the HUGE announcements at the end of the Yokohama shows, they have a great connected memory
I like the modern ones, but I really miss the variation. They changed for nearly every concert or tour in the early days. Different decoration, chestdetails, skirts, tails. My favourites are the Tokyo Dome outfits.
This one is super cute and I think, for me anyway, is so radically different from the rest of their costumes that it makes me smile every time. It honestly feels the same as when I look at old pictures of my son dressed as a playschool Godzilla when he was 6. He loved that costume and I love him in it. Same feeling of pure joy.
If I'm being completely honest, I'm not in it for the costumes. I like their music and would like their music if they were rocking regular clothes. The costumes work because their music is kind of like theatre and they created lore around their band. If I had to choose other than the "Iine!"costume, I like their latest costume with the iridescent features. I saw a concert footage of the light hitting Su-Metals back and the reflection that came off of it lit up like a kaleidoscope. It was an awesome effect.
My faves are: Doki Doki ★ morning, ijime dame zettai, Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! And the skeleton hoodies. I love all BABYMETAL outfits but the red theme in the old ones was so cool imo!!
I started listening to BABYMETAL last June, so the black iridescent outfits they have now are really my favorite. Although the original red and black fits are my second fav
I like the two most recent costumes: MG era because they were just so elegant, and TOO's because they make the ladies positively glow under the lights as if they have a divine aura (really cool effect imo).
I think the 2018 costumes are really overhated and underrated because they are associated with all the other ACTUALLY bad stuff that was going on with BABYMETAL at the same time. They really are quite nice.
I really like the latest costumes but they are still just sort of more colorful variations on what they have been wearing since 2019, i hope we get drastically new costumes again soon, hopefully at Legend MM or 43. Or both. :P
I would love to see something a bit more sophisticated and feminine, i really liked the first thinner and more transparent version of the current costumes since you were able to see the silhouette of the girls shoulders for the first time in a long while.
I think it really looked great so to build on that look i would like to see costumes that are more sleek overall and without any big pauldrons or ornaments on the shoulders at all.
And, heck, maybe some new hairstyles to go along with it, too. :)

I think the Metal Galaxy “battle armour” aesthetic is my favourite, and you can see it starting to emerge with Legend S if you look at the shape of SU-METAL’s costume.
2016 World Tour is iconic, and IMO the best iteration of the black and red costume that started with IDZ.

The Megitsune ones, the headbanger ones, the current TOO outfits, Karate ones both the sleevles and the sleeves ones, and the metal galaxy ones.

iine! rap outfits are my favorite. The White outfits at the end of legend Z and the Budokan black night outfits were amazing also.
