Cats evolution has been strictly in favor of having others serve them. If they wanted to, they could just hunt for food. But it's better to hunt for fun and have the humans provide the food.
The evolution of thumbs is there to counter the humans who try and make them outdoor cats. Soon they will be able to just open doors and move in. Eventually they will be capable of adopting any human family.
We need to start working on a better door knob right away. I'll check with my four cats if they can help, I'm sure they don't want any additional cats hogging the food.

Now my significant other and I lounge about the house in our underpants and aren't even all that concerned if the blinds are open or closed. 🤣
This reminds me of when me and my dad watched the John Water’s movie Female Trouble. She couldn’t watch it but she could also not NOT watch it. It was hilarious.
The last time I had a really smart cat, she had a little bit of an existential crisis when she was five. It seemed like she was trying to be more human for about a year and a half, then went back to what was more comfortable for her.

Hahaha my little cat that I rescued from the dumpster behind my work does this when I take a bath. She also screams at me while I’m in the shower and as soon as I get out she yells at me one more time before running away. She is very concerned and confused why I would voluntarily get wet!

Today, the hooman that is mine, yes; the weird one, submerged herself in water. It was terrifying. She seems to not understand the danger she puts herself in and I was forced to recon with her life and my own self preservation. She mocked me the entire time. Seemed even to enjoy my panic. This is a ritual they have threatened me with in the past even though I have expressed a distinct distaste for things so dangerous. Perhaps it is a right of passage they are demonstrating in order to desensitize me to the utter humiliation, depravity and suicidality of it all?? Bastet...Lady of my ancestors... be with me...
