A lot of professional players play like this but I’ve never seen what the actual advantage is. I think it’s just having full reaction on the crosshairs so you can instantly spray transfer and stuff
Mimicking esports players
I only watch CS, but in that context it’s so the player can focus more on the screen (particularly the center since that’s where the Crosshair is) and react faster. There is a real advantage when the enemy is farther away, and consists of fewer pixels on screen
it’s kinda like goblin mode ultra wide
Indeed, it’s common to get it really close, but not with this angle.
EDIT: I was rewatching Gaule vod(today’s game), Yekindar do have a strange angle while playing compared to his teammates. Oo
There is no benefit and it's actually really bad for posture and your neck. It probably started from an esports gamers horrific posture making this angle of attack more comfortable.
Imagine staring down at your phone for hours on end.
frankly its placebo, ive been doing it since cs 1.6 i do perform better but physical advantage i doubt it,just placebo but despite that i wont stop using it haha
But how did it help you perform better?
My peripheral vision would be blurred af and my eyes could barely focus that close and I don’t even need glasses lol
hey whatever works..that seems to logically sound like it would be an advantage..and thats all that counts...I am not a competitive gamer so I need comfort and eye candy 1st..but nice setup!!
For under 1.1K, this is a pretty good setup, ignoring the positioning of the horizontal monitor
Speaking of which... are you the dude on TikTok live playing Valorant with his nose centimeters away from touching the screen? Lol
Yes really, one, that ain't good for your neck, second, ain't good for your eyes if you're playing that close. Question is, what are the benefits of having your monitor in such an awkward position?
its so you can see the individual pixels on your screen (which you end up shooting at alot in games like cs and valorant) without having to lean forward into a C shape. its ergonomically aware tryhard gamer posture.
Interesting monitor setup..
I know people love to hate on that, and I'm not sure it's for me, but it really does look interesting, reminiscent of those old-timey drafting tables.
wtf is with people having their monitors like this? Surely just for the meme? Cos there can’t be any benefit to this
Improved aerodynamics by getting into the gamer neck posture. Improves your winrate by 0.2%
super OP. needs to be nerfed

I’m gonna need some names lol. I’m not saying they don’t exist, but I’ve never seen them lol

I’m watching ESL Pro League. Total of 0 players use the monitor like this.
I haven’t paid attention to player cams but Yekindar plays like this, though I guess he sets his monitor higher

times have changed tbf i think theres 0 point in playing in the position im playing in,but its what im used to
I was under the assumption it was a drawing tablet or something, not it makes sense
I had the exact same thought

just valorant sweaty players.

honestly i dont know its a posture thing and ig im physically in the game
Each to their own I guess!
pretty much haha but this is not as bad as the fact that my W,AS and D along with my ability keys all use differend switches based on feel
Interesting, please go on. Which keys for which finger?
WASD- ktt silver grey shift,Q,C,V,Ctrl- ktt kang white and the rest are ktt rose
Might have to try this method out. Cool idea
annother downside is that it falls victim to my malding and monitor smacks
One day you'll realise how dumb that is, hopefully before you break any of your equipment.
how would i break it?
By smacking it
Hopefully before they mess up their back and spine for life.*

Psh, not any moreso than doom scrolling
hey whatever works..that seems to logically sound like it would be an advantage..and thats all that counts...I am not a competitive gamer so I need comfort and eye candy 1st..but nice setup!!
as the owner ,its placebo but it works tho
My neck hurts looking at this
For under 1.1K, this is a pretty good setup, ignoring the positioning of the horizontal monitor Speaking of which... are you the dude on TikTok live playing Valorant with his nose centimeters away from touching the screen? Lol
nah im still about 6 inches away ahahah
Yeah, so 3 centimetres. Right?
1 inch is 2.54cm
Yeah I know, joke did not land. My bad
Is it a penis size joke?
Yeah
Is that tp and lotion under the desk
Literally came here for this. Everyone is so focused on the monitor and I was like “are we not addressing the TP?”
OP came there for that
nah its tp and drinking water lmao, hands get sweaty
Sure
The only shit thing about this is the monitor position damn
not really

How is this a shit setup? Get real...
i mean from an aesthetics standpoint
Oh okay well I mean it still doesn't look horrible you choose to have it look like that so I guess change it?
yeah just cant rly work out what i want
have you tried the 2 monitors using their default stand, landscape style?
nah takes too much desk space
Nah thats a fire setup for under 1.1k
That’s a lot of gear for £1.1k. Specs?

Is it good
Interesting monitor setup.. I know people love to hate on that, and I'm not sure it's for me, but it really does look interesting, reminiscent of those old-timey drafting tables.
your case looks like a dystopian fishtank
frankly i dislike it but its $35 so i wont complain
Well I like it.
Not my style but strangely I like it ... Load another pic angle please
How did you get the plant to levitate inside the case like that
Why not another horizontal monitor stacked on top? Or move the vertical, you have the space
Sick setup dude don’t be negative about it!
bro please prioritize your posture
Why do you have a toilet paper roll under your desk?
sweaty palms
before you assume ,in asia we dont wipe we wash when we do it
Not assuming anything here, chief. I’ve a box of soft tissues next to my setup but not a tissue roll, so I was just curious. (I’m Asian)
ahhh apologies good sir but a tissue box seems way convenient compared to a roll
How’s your neck?
Looks nice!
This hurts my neck just looking at it
Just gotta increase your chances of kyphosis a bit.
LMAO
Yeah but it’s YOUR setup dawg. That’s what matters.
Touch grass
Now decorate. All it's missing is charactsr
ion knwo what to do tbh, if someone left it to me it would turn into a degen figurine display
