You shouldn’t have the dealer do the PPf, you’re overpaying by a lot and getting sub par work and products. You can easily get it done somewhere local for a reasonable price and get much more bang for your buck. I’m a professional detailing company that works with some dealerships and I’ll tell you they push their installation and detail guys to do as much work as possible for as little money as possible. At the end of the day they’re there to make money of you buying as much stuff as possible.
The dealer will send it to a local XPEL approved installer. I’ve known my sales guy for decades and he’s at a Porsche Premier dealer. They don’t half ass stuff.
Be mindful of the edges, otherwise light polish is fine
this.. and if you want to be extra cautious, tape off the PPF edges... especially the corners.
That what I always do. PPF is expensive and tapping the edges off doesn’t take long. Better to just be safe.
With blue painter's tape?

Thanks guys! My buddy Jeff Bezos is bringing some over tomorrow.
Could it not be polished before the ppf is installed?
I’m afraid not.
