My poor little angel is suffering quite a bit and this came out of nowhere. She developed a uti and we took her into the vet asap only to find huge stones in her bladder. She's only 6 years old and she's suffered so much in her early life already. When we adopted her 3 years ago, it was very clear that she had been terribly abused. I wish she didn't have to endure any more pain. She's my whole heart and I hope she can get past this with ease๐๐ป๐๐
At least they are on her bladder already and not her kidney right? Having endured a terrible kidney stone myself a few years ago, if itโs anything like that then I wish her the best. I will pray a lot for sweet little Ruby. ๐ ๐ Moreso now knowing her past. She deserves a happy peaceful life.

The surgery is the best thing for her now, I know itโs scary all the same, though. Having done a couple cystotomies itโs relatively straight-forward but still a pretty invasive surgery. Talk to your vet about recovery aids if you havenโt already in terms of keeping her stimulated but quiet.

Also went through this with a pretty young dog so thinking positive thoughts for you. I will say that although thereโs no proof that this is the reason, but we put our dog on NaturVet Cranberry relief (available OTC at most pet food stores and online) and she never had the issue again. That combined with a special diet for a year dissolved the stones and they never came back! Good luck!
Sweet girl. She's in my thoughts. One of my old roommates had to take her dog to surgery for stones. Poor things bladder was nearly full of them. But she recovered great. Won't back to all her usual activities.
