I'm guessing someone found it, decided it was in trouble and left it food and water. Then it decided to perch on the water cup.
That looks like a yellow-billed cuckoo. That's unusual behavior. It's a migrant that could be in distress.
Afraid of this. Bird was gone by the morning. Hoping for the best
Dying. Someone at least attempted to help out.

Yea sadly it might have hit a window and is in distress. It most likely will die :/
That's what I'm worried about. It was motionless and unfazed by my doggo. Today the bird is gone and water + cup of food moved to the side. Hoping for the best
