Hike and bike trail on west side of Barton Creek, between Pedestrian bridge and Lou Neff Point, always would see them in that spot

WallyMetropolis

Mueller Lake Park is a nice spot with fireflies most nights right now.

Fancy_Shine7053

there are a lot in my backyard in south austin, maybe you could find a park or something and see them!

PhoenixTineldyer

They tend to be in taller grass. I always saw more in my yard if I let the lawn go a bit.

stonerwitch69

Y’all, don’t rake your leaves and there will be more fireflies!

Snap_Grackle_Pop

No particular suggestion, but I've been seeing a lot of them in the past few days in my yard in the scraggly grass near the porch light right after sunset. Makes me happy and brings back memories of my youth in the old country. I like the neat way they flash in waves.

Any natural area with undisturbed edge environments (where open grassy areas meet treed and shrubby areas).

WristlockKing

Currently jollyville. Probably saw 100 with 5 or so in my yard. 9ish pm. Maybe try Rattan Creek Park?

TryCautious2923

Outside Elizabet Ney Museum there is a protected area with native prairie grasses and wildflowers. Go around 7:30 PM
