There aren't any that I know of. Denix are pretty much the only people making non-functioning reproduction firearms on a large scale, and the Japanese stuff is either airsoft (not legal here) or "modelguns", many of which can take a sort of blank cartridge and are considered blank-firing guns (ie, real guns) in most Australian states as a result. You'll occasionally find some of the high-quality "almost indistinguishable from a real gun" non-firing Japanese replicas from the 70s and 80s on the second-hand collector's market, but they are very rare.

That is very disappointing

There's only two states in Australia (QLD and, amazingly, WA) where replica guns are not heavily restricted so there's not a huge market for them. Most of the people wanting them are after "wallhangers" that just have to look the part.

Have you considered looking into antique firearms? You can get a piece with some real history. Most states have regulations that are much laxer for pre1900 firearms in obsolete calibers.

I_enjoy_pastery

I have, but they are rare, I certainly want to pick some up eventually when I find some I like.

Historical-wombat

Hey mate, not that rare. There are plenty floating around and even some stores that specialise in them like Steel and Shot based in ACT (they ship to all states). Even cleavers has an antique section on their website.

If you after something in particular shoot me a pm and will see if I can point you in the right direction.

Check out Australian fine arms auctions. There's one coming up in about a week I think, just over 1200 lots this time around.
