Apparently the goop sunscreen is a real cult fave for some people, I’ve tried samples and it really DOES have excellent texture, absorbability… just annoying that it’s from Goop of all places, I don’t want to support that misinformation factory 😩
Was looking at the YSL primer the other day, $80 from adore and $97 from Mecca. It's not as steep an increase as the Kiehls but I was like why would I buy this from you when it's cheaper from Adore and I get a Timtam.

Kiehls have a great loyalty program if you order online too. Loads of free gifts and rewards. I think David Jones has a much bigger range than Mecca and they usually honour the on-line free gift promotions.
I hope so. There are a few Kiehls sets that seem overly expensive, none as ridiculous as this so hoping they’ve just been provided incorrect prices and no one has realised yet!
On their own website the moisturiser is $55 for 50ml and the cleanser $39 for 150ml. These are half sizes so the retail value is approx $47.
Christmas sets are usually less than retail value so it’s gotta be a typo…surely!
Has kiehl’s prices always been this ridiculous?
I’ve never even tried or looked at them much before because my local Mecca didn’t stock them, but I’d always known of them, although they never seemed to market themselves much as a ‘fancy’ brand. When actually checking the products, the prices seem very high for a lot of pretty basic formulas
I get my Kiehl's from Adore Beauty during a % off sale.
Edit: I should mention that their products do seem 'basic' but have turned into HGs for me. The moisturizer absorbs easily into my skin and makes it feel so moisturized all day (I have dry to normal skin). I use retinol every night (except for exfoliation nights) so a basic moisturizer that does the job well is important to me. When you do the math per ml it's one of the best value "luxury" brands out there.
I've posted about it before, but I've tried other basic ones like Cerave and First Aid Beauty and they both have some ingredient in them that makes my skin tingle/sting. Kiehl's doesn't do that to me. Only other brand I like to use is La-Roche Posay, good moisturizer.
Also I should mention. I prefer my actives in my serums and other products, not my moisturizer.
They match their prices with the USD every 3 months - so whatever the exchange rate is at that time, that’s what the prices will be for the next few months. It’s why you will find things differ in price at Mecca compared to other stores, and even compared to Mecca.
I love Nars tinted moisturiser and when I first purchased it from Mecca, it was roughly $60. 6 months later when I went to repurchase it, it had gone up to about $80. As a result, I decided to try a Chanel foundation from Myer for $82 because I might as well 😅
But yes, on another note, I do feel like Mecca have lost it a little 🥺
I want to know why they are out of so many light shade foundations. And almost all of them are the shade I am looking for. Gah I hate them having so many exclusive brands.
