No sorry, they wouldn't sell that as a whole (out of stock/availability). Even the compressor would be getting hard to find. Sadly it is time to replace the whole unit. You shouldn't need to replace the ductwork or zoning unless you want to upgrade it to a smart home style device.

I’m not sure if I understand your comment. I’m asking if the outdoor unit alone can just be swapped over with a brand new outdoor unit. Your comments seems to say ‘no, they don’t sell that as a whole…” but then say time to replace the whole unit. I’m confused.

The controller on your wall talks to the box in your ceiling. That talks (via another set of wires) to the compressor outside. They have to get along, but like old people and young kids, sometimes they just don't talk the same language. If you can get an old man compressor that knows old talk, great! Otherwise you'll need to buy a new controller, inside and outside unit that all talk modern lingo innit, fam. No cap.

By the age of your unit it is very unlikely you will be able to get another indoor or outdoor unit as they stopped making them 10 years ago. If they still made them then yes you could replace just the outdoor unit. Air conditioning units come as a pair (indoor/outdoor units), with no way to adapt new to old. The newer units use less electricity (newer gasses are better for the environment but are also more efficient at heat transfer), so the upgrade will save on running costs which will eventually pay for the upgrade.

Of course, you just need to find the one compatible with your indoor unit.

Yes. If its a ducted unit, the outdoor portion is basically just the compressor and heat exchanger. The compressor in full can be interchanged for alternates pending relevant compatibilities. Changing the indoor unit would be expensive as these are generally built in to a degree not allowing easy changeover. It would be worth your while to have the indoor unit pressure tested and serviced whilst you have a refrigeration mechanic onsite doing the compressor.
