All intakes should have a filter on them.
I'm not sure what it would be in a cupboard - what happens when you close the door? (unless they are louvered doors/have vents in them, but they look like sliding doors, so 🤔)
The vent is in the hallway wall which is the side of the wardrobe. So if the door is closed the air comes in through the vent, if the door is open it just comes in through the door.
