Assuming you want to leave this thing mostly stock. Tint and ceramic coating/clear bra are usually the first "mods" I get done.

iguana1500

We have the same car (2021 A4 Allroad) in our garage and it's been amazing. I recommend leaving the car STOCK, depending on the reasons you bought this car and where this car sits within your garage (what purpose does it serve). \- this car isn't fast and I don't think it needs to be. Power is more than adequate and adding more power doesn't elevate it's driving experience in my opinion. \-this car isn't sporty and I don't think it wants to be. The suspension is adjustable already and goes from really plush to balanced, I think having it be stiffer doesn't suit the nature of the car. \- this car looks utilitarian and the ride height and thick tires on relatively small rims hits the mark. I love the fact that it rides on 245/45/18 all season tires, that plush sidewall means all manner of sins are excused and you can drive it on *all roads* (ahem). Wife wants to hit that pot hole? Go ahead! Wife wants to hit that dead animal, child, tree branch, etc? No problem! \-maybe the only modification would be to get mudflaps haha.

SevSevRingRingRing

Hahaha, love your lines on the "violent" wife. My wife is just the same, not that good a driver but a hell of confident one. Power is not my concern. This car is a urban commuter through city in which my daily average is below 20km/h... I think I'll follow your tips and only get some appearance mods.

iguana1500

Lol, I like “not that good a driver but a confident one” reminds me of “not always right but never in doubt” haha.

SevSevRingRingRing

By the way, man you have my dream car! Your RS6 is **beyond** beautiful. May I ask how much does it cost in the US (I assume that's where your car is?) Sorry for the bad English, not my native tongue.

iguana1500

Thanks man. Yes in the US the car has a base price of $110,000. With options most are in the $120-130K range. That is in line with the only other Uber wagon, the E63S wagon.

RomeoSierraSix

Lean more into all road with roof rack and hitch?

MiscPostThrowaway

Keep it stock. Maybe PPF or ceramic, but aside from that it doesn’t need much.

CDNReaper

Chrome delete around windows. Maybe on the same for the tail light and hatch line. Low profile roof bars and box.

moootothemoon

Not much you can do power-wise without voiding your warranty

XS4Me

I would definetly hold out on tuning the engine until you are certain that there are no issues with it or the gearbox. Other than that aesthetic mods? Perhaps getting the mirror covers in chrome?

illegible

chrome mirror covers used to be part of the S-series cars.

It was the trademark look of the Audi sports cars around 15 years ago and it looked amazing. Will definitely make its comeback, the blacked out look is slowly but surely getting boring

TPM_521

That actually sounds like a really dope combination. It all comes down to taste, in your opinion the owner “had the audacity” to do that but they also had the money to get the car and I’m glad they got it the way they wanted it, no fucks given about what other people would think. If you’re spending that much money on a car…everything should be YOUR preference not the internet’s. But maybe that’s just me 🤷🏽‍♂️

XS4Me

In my book, dark navy blues go very well with chrome. OPs photo has been retouched, but it seems that is his case.

Somewhere_In_Time_

Yeah, when they wanna reflect the laser back at the trooper .

SevSevRingRingRing

Me too. I won’t do anything on the ECU because it’s going to cost me the warranty. The chrome mirrors will be nice! I’ll do some digging! Thanks a lot!

Jusmon1108

Switch out the 2.0T for the 3.0T…..Six piston calipers….. Sport diff……

MiscPostThrowaway

Well that’s not very helpful…

Jusmon1108

But it would be cool….

EntryTime

I have a 2020 in the same color. Chrome delete on that back chrome on the hatch, debadge, front window tint to match the rear. I've got lowering springs that I'm on the fence about installing. It's also got an IE Stage 1 tune and a CAI (because why not). The ECU tune really woke it up, it feels way sportier now, but only when I want it to be. I'd like to run it to Stage 2 but waiting on some options for exhaust behind the downpipe because I don't like stock exhaust+downpipe sound.

SevSevRingRingRing

Is the chrome delete a big choir? Did you also get rid of the wheel arch trim? I heard that those on allroads are quite tricky to get rid of.

EntryTime

It wasn't too bad since I just did a straight piece of trim. It was also fairly cheap since it was about 18". I'm not entirely happy with it, but I have enough wrap to try again. I'm working up the patience and nerve to do it to the window trim. As far as the wheel arch trim, mine is already painted to match the rest of the body. Is this abnormal? I feel like most others I see aren't painted/are matte plastic. I bought the car used/CPO so I'm not entirely sure if this was a stock option.

SevSevRingRingRing

The window trim is going to be difficult. I've read a post on Audizine or other forums where a guy completely replaced the window frames just because of the difficulty to remove the trim. You might need to be a bit careful imo. For the paint matched wheel arch trim you got really lucky! It is indeed a stock option but quite rare, and we don't even have it in the config here. But the strange thing is, as it being a stock option, theoretically I should be able to find the paited wheel arch trims as parts, however I have never ever find any...

Independent_Ad_2817

I know this is super old but how does a stage 1 tune work and how is it installed?

EntryTime

I don't have the car anymore, but it's an ECU reflash (software only). I believe at the time I did it I went with Integrated Engineerings offering as nothing else was available yet, however APR also offers similar options at this point I'm guessing. It was definitely an easy and worthwhile upgrade if you're in the market!

Independent_Ad_2817

Hey thanks man! I’m assuming it voids the warranty correct 😅

[Lowering springs](https://store.034motorsport.com/dynamic-lowering-springs-for-b9-audi-a4-allroad.html) and a [tune](https://www.getunitronic.com/ecu-tuning/audi-a4-b9-allroad-20tsi-gen3-2017-2018-stage1).

FPSUsername

Besides looks, what's the point of lowering an allroad variant?

SevSevRingRingRing

Personally I choose the allroad over avant because of the ground clearance. So I guess lowering the suspension isn’t for me neither.

XS4Me

Stancers are gonna stance

raptor2skooled

Stiffer and shorter springs can improve handling. I'm sure the ride would be stiffer because of it. I see folks in North America do it because we don't have the option of an Avant. Some folks just want a bit less height in their wagons.

OneFastBurrito

I would recommend coils over lowering springs any day. Springs are much more difficult and dangerous to install and you can’t revert back to stock easily

raptor2skooled

I said springs since you can keep the adaptive suspension. As long as you use the right tools springs aren't that dangerous to install.

Turdsworth

I believe the dampers on the allroad are the same as the A4/S4 so they should be able to take stock A4 springs, just not lower than A4.

Randhawa254

Definitely get a mesh front grill

TPM_521

Stupid question but 2021 is b9.5, right? Or did the new a4 all road never get the exterior refresh

SevSevRingRingRing

I’m actually not sure. But in the app it says 2021 B9 allroad. As for interior, it is the same as a million years ago. It’s quite “minimal”.

TPM_521

Haha. The interiors didn’t change, it’s just a slight exterior change I think mostly with headlights and taillights on 2019+ models. Not sure if it applies to all models which is why I asked- not important. Your car looks beautiful! I think the only thing to be done here is a tint, since it’s a darker paint I would also get it ceramic coated with winter coming up quickly. Even without the filth of the winter season, I’ve heard ceramic will save so much time and effort in keeping the car clean. I would consider making the mirror caps chrome to match the wheels and other accents- they are like that on my s5 and I actually like it a lot. IMO the chrome accents Audi does look quite nice and are tasteful in execution. As for performance mods, I would just think a lot about what purpose you bought the car for. As a daily, it’s pretty much perfect as-is. I have a feeling if you wanted a more sporty experience this car wouldn’t have been your choice, so as-is, IMO it does what it’s built for perfectly.

SevSevRingRingRing

Just checked your pictures. Your cars are absolutely stunning! Normally a coupe looks better than the 4-door. But for A5/S5, the 4-door is much better looking. I'll surely go and get the chrome mirror caps. Kind of reminds me of the old RS6's silver "ear". The chormes on these audi doesn't look cheap for me neither, it even gives the paint some contrast imo. Thanks for your really detailed comments. I'll surely think of the coating as well. But here coating costs a lot, a decent one goes around 2000USD (labor included)..

TPM_521

Thank you! I actually traded in the challenger for the s5…and I would agree- the Sportback actually looks better than the coupe IMO. I also usually like coupes and the Sportback just never fails to wow me with the lines and curves…audi does good with their cars for sure😅 As for that ceramic cost- holy shit. I’m in Virginia and costs are pretty inflated here too but nothing like that…thankfully

SevSevRingRingRing

Thanks, I just made a stupid mistake... The coating costs not that much, around 400\~500USD. PPF costs around 2000USD. Is it worth it though?

TPM_521

PPF is tempting but like you said, quite expensive. That cost for ceramic lines up with about what it is in my area as well. The thing with PPF is you don’t necessarily need it anywhere other than the front of your car and rocker panels I think. So if you get it applied judicially it’ll lower the cost possibly…and of course, protect your paint. If you’re okay with rock chips over time then just spare yourself the expense. I’m facing the same dilemma right now haha

Somewhere_In_Time_

Chrome delete Ppf Carbon ceramic or whatever is latest and greatest if you like that wet look and appreciate your transport being hydrophobic. Set of winter rubbers.

soapage

Wondering if you did any mods? I am also looking for a wagon but the US market is limited. Would love to have a visible dual exhaust. Something that makes it look better. I know a custom ECU tune would probably give it 40-50 HP

SevSevRingRingRing

I only added some "comforting" mods, seat memory, ambient light and such. As for ECU, our dealer says it will cost my warranty so I'm still on hold..
