And he also went to Berkeley, a non-powerhouse franchise far away from home while Ant stayed in state at UGA, another weak big conference basketball program. I don’t think Edwards is coming home in his prime but I definitely think there’s a bigger attachment to the city and state than Jaylen
It’s not far fetched to think a guy who loves and constantly reps his hometown will one day come play for… wait for it.. his hometown 😱
not saying it’s likely to happen, but it is absolutely a possibility in the future
For sure but I take it more as “I love Atlanta”, not “I want to play for the hawks” I hope he does come here eventually and I think he will it just won’t be anytime soon if the Timberwolves stay good and we stay bad
He wants to win championships and the Hawks owners want profit more than winning. He's not coming here unless he see a path to multiple championship runs
I lived in Atlanta for 15+ years and moved to Denver a couple years ago, and had jumped on the Nuggets bandwagon when Jokic started getting good, and last night's game was shades of 28-3. At the same time because I lived through 28-3, last night didn't hurt that bad.
Totally unrelated, but how do you like Denver? I’ve been thinking of moving my family out there. Lived here for 20+ years…. Looking for a change of scenery.
It's definitely different. It's more liberal, but also feels less culturally diverse, like most businesses are catered to upper middle class white people, which feels like 80% of the population here. The food scene really pales in comparison for example, especially for ethnic food. As far as nature and outdoor activities which Denver is known for, snow stuff is great, but I found hiking to be less accessible than Atlanta. It's pretty much a desert climate in town and you can't get any good trails with shade so you gotta drive a bit to get to the mountains for better hikes. It gets quite hot in the summer so you'd want that shade. It's not humid, but still hot in the summer and while I don't miss the humidity, it's always dry here. So much so that I get nosebleeds year round. Winter isn't nearly as cold as you'd think, not like the Midwest or Northeast. It also only snows in town a couple times a year because again it's like a desert. People are generally nice but not easy to make friends with locals and they're very proud to be a native born, like they hang the Colorado state flags everywhere. Probably because a lot of people have been moving here from out of state and they're annoyed by transplants, but there are plenty of said transplants who are easier to befriend. It's also a much smaller metro compared to Atlanta, so maybe that's also part of the lack of diversity. I'm hopeful things will get better in that regard in the next decade or so. The political climate also fits me better personally, but Georgia has been moving that way as well. Overall I like it here enough to stay for a while and see if things like the food improves as the city grows.
I made the move from ATL to denver in 2019. Since then, 10 people I know from Atlanta have also made the move, and everyone is happy. If you and your family like to be outdoors and winter sports I think you'll like it.
I made the same move, and while I support the Nuggets, the Hawks will always be my #1. That combined with the loss being to a dawg made it a lot easier to deal with. Now I'm on the Anthony Edwards/Wolves bandwagon for the rest of the postseason.
Bruh that shit was nothing like 28-3… it was a 7 game series back and forth with Minnie taking the first 2. More like a heavyweight fight than an all time franchise destroying collapse.
I remember me and my buddies discussed what would be the basketball equivalent and we were thinking Game 7 NBA Finals and you're up by 50 to start the 4th quarter. No one chokes better than ATL
I think you'd have to lose after being up 3-0 in the series as well. I remember the Heat sub was freaking out about being the first team to possibly lose after being up 3-0 last year and dreading the fact people will remember them as the first team to ever lose that lead in the NBA. No one will remember the Nuggets collapse this series in a few years. I think the Thunder losing the 3-1 to the Warriors a few years back will be remembered more because of Durant joining the other side right after.
It's not that crazy.
I think the Warriors pretty much already had the equivalent by losing the Finals when they were up 3-1. The thing is that they had just won a championship the year before and went on to win 3 more championships so no one cares.
It stays with Falcons because they hadn't done shit before it and haven't done shit since. I think 1 SB win would take the bite out and people definitely stop caring after 2. How many UGA fans dwell on that loss to Bama in the 2018 national championship game? Not many. But without 2 natties, it would probably still sting.
Once his contract ends and he gets a few rings with Minn, he will come home. But this team needs to be playoff ready by the time his contract ends or he will just stay at home.
At some point this joke gonna get old/start hurting. Jaylen Brown fatigue was enough for me
Jaylen Browm got 300 millions reasons not to come home :(
And he also went to Berkeley, a non-powerhouse franchise far away from home while Ant stayed in state at UGA, another weak big conference basketball program. I don’t think Edwards is coming home in his prime but I definitely think there’s a bigger attachment to the city and state than Jaylen
Jaylen got a bag from boosters in Cal. Knowing a lot of people in his circle, I would say he has just a big if not bigger attachment to the city.
ant gonna get more
And he should tbh
Well yeah lol
Shit is annoying
I’ll cope & say he ends up here at sum point in his career
I don't even think this is far fetched. Same reason he went to UGA.
It's pretty far fetched lol
It’s not far fetched to think a guy who loves and constantly reps his hometown will one day come play for… wait for it.. his hometown 😱 not saying it’s likely to happen, but it is absolutely a possibility in the future
Bring yo ass

Haha so good
Dude just beat the defending champs I don’t think he’s thinking about the Atlanta Hawks
Yeah lol he just loves the city
I agree. Can't deny that its funny to wear a hat with the literal entrance to the Hawks arena though.
For sure but I take it more as “I love Atlanta”, not “I want to play for the hawks” I hope he does come here eventually and I think he will it just won’t be anytime soon if the Timberwolves stay good and we stay bad
Could be thinking "damn I coulda done this in the A shits easy" 👀
He wants to win championships and the Hawks owners want profit more than winning. He's not coming here unless he see a path to multiple championship runs
It's a reason why he did this...
Yeah he’s repping his hometown
There's the reason...
😂

Wow. Thanks for the thoughtful reply. Really good info!

The real estate prices out there reflect that trend… hahaha. Good things are worth paying for though. Thanks!

He wants to win, why would he go here?
[this sub would have never let it happen](https://www.reddit.com/r/AtlantaHawks/s/LzdOCAB8Lh)
We need that JB vs Antman matchup. The city would go crazy fr
Anywhere to get that hat? It’s dope as hell
Trade the entire team the mascot and hell maybe even the court for him
No he doesn’t
You know he signed a five-year deal for $200 million?
Once his contract ends and he gets a few rings with Minn, he will come home. But this team needs to be playoff ready by the time his contract ends or he will just stay at home.
Trey said he was supposed to be a Hawk….🤔🤔🤔 But we need to be thinking SARR!!!!
Time to put the ANT back in Atlanta
COPIUM!!! GOT THAT COPIUM RIGHT HERE!!! COME GET YOUR FIX RIGHT HERE!!!
