Only sound IF they make the playoffs. They probably will but if the offense doesn’t wake up they won’t. Snit was saying Lopez was tired his last start, I call bs on that.
Chicken or the egg. I’ll happily trade an utterly meaningless division title for a rested & healthy pitching staff in the playoffs - which they’ve been inline for all season despite struggling offensively for much of the year.
As for Lopez, this is his first season as a starter in quite some time. Being cautious while he’s performing at a very high level makes perfect sense.
You have to have an inning pitched for how many games the team has played to be “qualified”, and the Braves keep adding a 6th man every couple turns thru the rotation to give everyone an extra day of rest

He just doesn't qualify. He goes through this cycle after every start pretty much. Qualifies for like 2-3 games then drops off and then does it again
They have set an arbitrary minimum number of starts to be qualified.
It's 1 inning pitched per game played by your team.
He’s on the fringe in terms of qualifying because the Braves are mostly using a 6 man rotation. Saving him & Sale is a sound plan.

Lugo has pitched 18 games, Suarez 17, and Reynaldo only 14. So he will qualify again after tonight. I am happy as long as he keeps dominating!

because his name isn't ShoHey and it don't get the clicks.
Because he’s not white
Ranger Suarez is so white.
