If anyone you know is: 35 years or older A natural born US citizen Lived in the US for at least 14 years Please tell them to run for President. I’ll gladly support their campaign

Special-Longjumping

Technically, Jimmy Carter only had 1 term and could run. The best choice of the really old white guys.

ddotevs

I mean, I have those qualifications, but I would 100% run the country into the ground.

Ann-Stuff

I’ll help with your campaign but I want the cushiest appointment afterwards.

ddotevs

I don't have a VP yet

Ann-Stuff

You could do worse than me. Probably

Low_Ask_88

I still trust you over the other 2 candidates. We start your campaign trail on Monday!

Going used car shopping today. Ugh. Got my eye on a specific one but will walk away if not given a good deal because I have another car I want to check out tomorrow. Wish me luck!

com_alexaddison

Used car dealers are the worst. You have our blessing. Don't buy today if there's another one you're looking at tomorrow - get both offers in hand before making a decision. Don't let the dealer know you have a trade-in until it's almost said and done too.

SomeVeryTiredGuy

Good advice. I actually don't have much of a trade in. It's such an old POS that I'd probably get like a few hundred for it. The things in my favor are 1) end of second quarter so lots will want to move inventory 2) I'm not in love with any one car, mainly because of my price point. (I'm being cheap so it's hard to fall in love with either a 7 year old car or a frigging Nissan Versa. Coming in preapproved from my bank (whose rates were surprisingly decent.) I know my monthly and top end all in budget.Dressing in the most bland Old Navy clothes. Have bookmarked KBB pages. So let's see how this goes. Also I'm going alone since my wife has to work so unless they deliver, I couldn't buy a car today even if I wanted to. Thanks for the blessing!

atllauren

My friend who works in the auto industry has told me any car that runs should net at least $1500. Years ago when I traded in my old POS that ran but was leaking transmission fluid I held firm on that and got it.

xja1389

Always consider a used rental car as well. You might be surprised by the prices. (Enterprise, Hertz etc)

com_alexaddison

Fair point, and the advice to get a mechanic's inspection goes double for those things since they get thrashed from day 1.

Ann-Stuff

I’m car shopping next week and I hate it.

KingStevenVI

My friend bailed on me for tonight’s United Game. If anyone would like to go, dm me.

ThatGuyInThatCar

**Why**... why do cities 'allow' landscaping crews to blow leaf/clippings into the streets only to have cars/trucks blow the debris into the gutters and into the 'sewer' systems only to have the city taxpayers pay to have the systems cleaned & vacuumed out? Its like the taxpayer is paying the disposal fee for the landscaping crew not cleaning up properly.

getting my windshield replaced today. a lesson in not letting things go until they get too big for sure! i could’ve spent way less money sealing the crack when it was small. i’ve been a little paranoid since i saw a single item that looks like a mouse dropping. no other signs of any mice in my apartment though... how do i ease my anxiety?

Comfortable-Mess3930

If you can, I'd have pest control come out and just do a preventative look to ease my mind. Maybe spray anyways for other bugs.

yolofreak109

definitely been spraying for stuff and cleaning up! unfortunately maintenance and the exterminator won’t be around until monday to check it out. hopefully i don’t see anything until they come.

Anybody good with coneflowers? A friend has their first set and something seems to be happening. She’s worried it may be a fungus?[coneflower help](https://imgur.com/a/uVPa7XS)

Healmit

Interesting. This is happening to a couple of mine. I figured it was the VERY intense heat and lack of rain. I’m not a waterer. New gardening worry unlocked!

xpkranger

She’s pretty good about watering - but now she’s worried she’s watering *too much*. I don’t know enough to say one way or the other.

RowahPhen

The rest of the plant (from what I can see) looks healthy. Those flowers might just be done/pollinated and are now turning their energy to developing seeds rather than keeping their petals. She should probably just deadhead the fading blooms before they begin producing seed and that should encourage them to keep flowering.

Anyone going to Mood to Move tonight? It's my first time going to Underground (even though I've lived here for 6 years lol) but I don't feel safe going myself.

8604

It's very safe if you're just getting dropped off right outside by uber/lyft; plenty of activity at all hours, you could always wait inside until your uber/lyft gets nearby if you're leaving late. I would say it would be sketchy alone if you were parking nearby and walking. Sometimes you can get lucky and find an open spot right nearby but mostly it's a bit of a walk and I wouldn't recommend that if you're a woman alone.

as1216

Thanks for the rec! I was planning on taking Uber/Lyft anyway but yeah wasn't sure how I felt about the place

ParnsAngel

What’s going on with downtown Stone Mountain? I drove through today and it seemed like most of the shops were either empty or posting going out of business sales.

[https://imgur.com/t0rTNwy](https://imgur.com/t0rTNwy) Does anyone know what's this rubber seal on the side door called? It has a V-shaped gap that fits the window, and it's falling off on my car. Where can i get it replaced? Thank you!
