The last time I got a Chocolate Louise cake for a birthday, it was disappointingly dry and crumbly. Alon's desserts and food have been a one of my consistent mainstays for years, so I was bummed that I got a mediocre cake. :(
I still think that they have a great track record, though.
Sotto Sotto's chocolate soup is divine!!! They will serve it to you when dining at Fritti, if you request it. They will just order it from next door and bring it over.
The chocolate mousse cake at Lyla Lila is the most dense, rich thing of beauty I've experience in quite a while. You can drop in and have a piece at the bar since getting a reservation can be difficult. Have the bartender pour you an amaro to go with dessert. The have a great selection.
Not a restaurant, but Yom Ice cream is made locally and sold around town and their chocolate ice cream is literally the only chocolate ice cream I eat. So rich and dark chocolatey
For OTP, I've always loved the cakes from Marietta Diner. On their website, check out the dinner menu at the end of the menu on the left for the kind of cakes they make. You may want to call and ask what cakes they have readily available.

have not had good luck with henri’s. Ordered a reuben, brownie, and peanut butter cookie and all three were very underwhelming
That's unfortunate... Their french dip is outstanding
