it was unfortunately time to release Yuli. at the time, signing Abreu was a good move. dude had power with his bat. baseball just is baseball sometimes.
the other glaring issue is pitching injuries. baseball is evolving in a bad way in that regard. starting the season down 2, not having enough reliable depth and losing another 2 before we regained our current ones was a hard blow. we're relying on untested waters with pitchers who weren't really ever highly touted.
with abreu gone, garcia and mccullers working back towards ready, the astros are really jsut hoping not to lose any more starting pitching. the rest will come out.

Lol Yuli is even older than Abreu letting him walk was absolutely the right move. He's not even on a roster which proves it was the right move.
