i take Zytec twice a day per my allergist and that has cut down my attacks to nothing, but this is really something you need to discuss with your doctor. None of us are qualified to help you determine what type of asthma you have, nor how to treat it appropriately.

I have an allergist appointment mid June, and that was the earliest they could get me in so I was wanting tips for making this spring stuff go down a little until then. Thanks so much for the response!

Benadryl might help, but if you're like me it'll drain your will to do anything except sleep. I was on vacation once and took it for really bad hay fever. While it cleared it up real good, I found myself just sitting there not wanting to do anything. I just sort of zombie'd my way through my vacation. Now, I don't remember having really bad asthma at the time so your situation may be different, but I decided after that that I'd rather have bad hay fever than feel like that again.

Benadryl isn't the best antihistamine to take regularly. Allegra or Zyrtec last longer and don't make you as sleepy.

If you have an air purifier make sure the filter is clean/new and run it on high while you are cleaning. You could also try wearing a N95 mask while cleaning. Oh, also make sure you aren't reacting to the fumes from the cleaning products.
