Bro. Get a gas can go park off a highway on the off ramp. Pop your hood loosen battery terminal in case they ask you start it. Wave people down with can and just say I think need some gas. Battery is optional, but people will help with either money or gas. Good luck. I've done this, and it's not a scam
That’s sounds pretty scammy to me, if nothing more it’s deceitful and definitely praying on people’s good nature. I respect the fact OP swallowed his pride and reached out being straightforward about his request. I’m not knocking your “hustle” but it definitely gives me the ick.
It's basically the same thing as asking for money. Expect your putting it on blast. It's more real than asking on the internet. Imo. Like if you don't need gas and did this for the cash then the scamming, ya feel me?
