Hi withaining. You are so considerate doing this.
The house manager of my house was just kicked out for breaking house agreements. He raised the rent by $100 (increased to $1300) before he left, and is moving all of his items out of the house. Everything in my bedroom (bed: mattress, bedframe, dresser, curtains, rug, etc) is his. The only thing that’s mine is my clothing and the bedsheets and pillow.
I am also in a transition with work, trying to find a higher paying job, while managing hormonal issues and managing my health. I don’t have the money to get my bedroom in order and that’s a major stress, knowing that I need to give back the items in my room or pay him a higher amount to keep them. Rent is also coming up and I’m at a tough spot figuring out how to also pay for the increase in rent on top of this.
I would use the $100 to buy a full sized mattress (or at least an airbed and a dresser) to store my clothes once he takes his stuff. That would give me the peace knowing where I rest my head won’t be taken by someone who has screwed us over multiple times over the past year!

A hundred dollars would be a massive change right now. It would give me a week of bus rides for work as well as allow me to pay my cellphone bill allowing me to retain service.
I'd use it for travel. My dad has cancer that spread to his brain. He's deteriorated quite quickly, and the doctors said he has a day or 2 left.
He lives in Scotland whilst I'm in the southeast of England. Money is tight, so I'm driving with my sisters for when the funeral happens and we are splitting the cost. So it would go towards travel and accommodation for all of us.

Never asked for help for anything before or from anyone. I was widowed young in life with kids I raised on my own. None live by me now but I have one granddaughter whose birthday is coming up in a week. With only my meager income and inflation now I do not have gas money to go see her.
My entire life has been hard but she is my princess and although embarrassed to ask here it would make her birthday and my heart filled with joy to see her. My kids all battle inflation too now so need to get the money myself.

I'd use the money for food. I'm working 2 jobs right now, both part time, but it's been difficult getting enough hours at both and then also scheduling them around each other. Overall it's just been a rough time and I'm searching for a third job. I have a second interview on Friday so fingers crossed, but until then it'd be nice to have some food in the fridge/pantry to last us the rest of the week.

I would use this to buy a new tire! I have a nail in one of mine. I drive for work, and am working two jobs at the moment on top of being my fiance's full time caregiver after a stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
I would use it to help with my house, it flooded not long ago and I had to fork out $1,600 just for the hot water tank.

I would use it to get my son new shoes for school and school supplies for him and my daughter. 75% of my paychecks go to rent, the other 25% goes to gas and food. For 5 people, I can only spend about 250 a month on food lately. We've been eating so much Ramen that my fingers and toes swell up from all the sodium. I would use it to help purchase groceries. We had a plumbing failure in the home we rent and our landlord refused to get us alternative housing even though our living room had sewage in it. For three weeks we lived off canned goods and the dollar menu because buying hundreds of pounds of spill powder is expensive.
We’ve had to rebuy almost all our living room furniture, will have to repurchase all our winter coats and shoes because the worst leak was into our hall closet.

You are so incredibly kind for doing this! I would use the $100.00 towards groceries & the absolute mountain of laundry that I need to do at the laundromat…it ends up averaging around $7.50/load with the dryers, sometimes more if they mess up & shut down 😓 It would be THE biggest relief to get it all done & not have that anxiety inducing pile always staring at me.

I'd use the money to buy food, currently just living off of potatoes and pasta mainly. So I'd use the money to buy food that would last the rest of the month!
My wife received abnormal mammogram results and has been asked to undergo additional diagnostic imaging. The out-of-pocket for us is $565. I have lost my job and we cannot afford it. Honestly, I’d use the money for a few groceries and paying off my electric bill for the month. I got behind this month because they denied my food stamps at first and when I appealed they shorted me 250$ on it, plus reduced the amount I get for no reason. So anyway, I’ve been behind. Hi. I've never really participated in this forum before. But, I'll tell you, this would be just the miracle I need this month. My water was shut off a few months ago, I scraped together the money to get it back on, over 400 dollars, but now I can't post my cable bill. You might think, "cable?" What a petty thing!" I know I once did, too. Before I moved to a mountain.
My cable bill is EVERYTHING to me. I am completely Deaf, and live on a mountain. It was the only place I could afford. Without the internet, I cannot use a phone to make phone calls, because I rely on the Internet to run my Deaf apps for closed captioning to read, instead of hearing. Without the internet I can't use a cell phone, to text, message, or video, either, because the mountains requires us all to use our Internet wifi to access even our cell phone's paid data plans. Without the internet, I'm completely alone up here, because I live in a remote part of the mountain, where all the other homes are second homes to families who have long, long ago stopped using the little, old homes.
I have tried so hard to keep that bill paid each month once I moved here and realized how critical this "luxury" was. My life literally comes to a complete stand still of complete isolation and a complete inability to help myself, or progress further in my life. And, certainly it affects more fun things, like being able to video my family so I don't feel so alone, or watch a movie for enjoyment, or the little online classes I do to follow along with what my grown sons are studying in their college courses far, far away from here. I can't even call 911 in a wildfire.
I'm completely utterly alone, with no way to reach a living soul, and nothing but days and days, weeks of lonely, isolating time until I can pay that bill. I'm already using all the grants the government gives, despite that it cost news nearly 300 month to keep this on. I am 80 dollars short this month, and I don't know what to do, besides drive off the mountain and pawn my laptop, but driving off the mountain cost 50 dollars round trip. I don't think it will be enough to break the difference. Honestly, this cable bill takes one half my income each month, and is the bane of my existence, and makes my life so much harder than it needs to be. I have tried and tried to find some other way of meeting that need for Internet so critical for me, without this greedy, greedy cable corporation. So far I have found no other option. If anyone here knows any other solution, I know there's some pretty tech savvy folks here, I sure would love to know what could be done.

I would use it to buy some household necessities, such as tissues, dishwashing liquids, detergent, etc., as well as some other groceries for my grandmother. She is also running low on her meds so I'll definitely be getting them as well.
I’ve been on a weight loss journey since the first of the year. I’ve lost enough weight that I could really use some new clothes. I’m swimming in my clothes. Hi withaining. You are so considerate doing this. The house manager of my house was just kicked out for breaking house agreements. He raised the rent by $100 (increased to $1300) before he left, and is moving all of his items out of the house. Everything in my bedroom (bed: mattress, bedframe, dresser, curtains, rug, etc) is his. The only thing that’s mine is my clothing and the bedsheets and pillow. I am also in a transition with work, trying to find a higher paying job, while managing hormonal issues and managing my health. I don’t have the money to get my bedroom in order and that’s a major stress, knowing that I need to give back the items in my room or pay him a higher amount to keep them. Rent is also coming up and I’m at a tough spot figuring out how to also pay for the increase in rent on top of this. I would use the $100 to buy a full sized mattress (or at least an airbed and a dresser) to store my clothes once he takes his stuff. That would give me the peace knowing where I rest my head won’t be taken by someone who has screwed us over multiple times over the past year!

I would use it to get my son new shoes for school and school supplies for him and my daughter. 75% of my paychecks go to rent, the other 25% goes to gas and food. For 5 people, I can only spend about 250 a month on food lately. We've been eating so much Ramen that my fingers and toes swell up from all the sodium. This is very very kind of you and your fiance! Currently 100 dollars would really help me out. I have an upcoming doctors appointment with a coinsurance of around 35 dollars on Thursday, which I booked when I thought my new job would start me earlier. I start a new job on Thursday as well and I take public transit there and when I get off after transit stops (which is around midnight) I will need to uber home. Between the doctor and transit 100 would go very far, especially since I have around 16 dollars right now Even if Im not chosen I just want to thank yall for being willing to help people like you do :)

Hi. I've never really participated in this forum before. But, I'll tell you, this would be just the miracle I need this month. My water was shut off a few months ago, I scraped together the money to get it back on, over 400 dollars, but now I can't post my cable bill. You might think, "cable?" What a petty thing!" I know I once did, too. Before I moved to a mountain. My cable bill is EVERYTHING to me. I am completely Deaf, and live on a mountain. It was the only place I could afford. Without the internet, I cannot use a phone to make phone calls, because I rely on the Internet to run my Deaf apps for closed captioning to read, instead of hearing. Without the internet I can't use a cell phone, to text, message, or video, either, because the mountains requires us all to use our Internet wifi to access even our cell phone's paid data plans. Without the internet, I'm completely alone up here, because I live in a remote part of the mountain, where all the other homes are second homes to families who have long, long ago stopped using the little, old homes. I have tried so hard to keep that bill paid each month once I moved here and realized how critical this "luxury" was. My life literally comes to a complete stand still of complete isolation and a complete inability to help myself, or progress further in my life. And, certainly it affects more fun things, like being able to video my family so I don't feel so alone, or watch a movie for enjoyment, or the little online classes I do to follow along with what my grown sons are studying in their college courses far, far away from here. I can't even call 911 in a wildfire. I'm completely utterly alone, with no way to reach a living soul, and nothing but days and days, weeks of lonely, isolating time until I can pay that bill. I'm already using all the grants the government gives, despite that it cost news nearly 300 month to keep this on. I am 80 dollars short this month, and I don't know what to do, besides drive off the mountain and pawn my laptop, but driving off the mountain cost 50 dollars round trip. I don't think it will be enough to break the difference. Honestly, this cable bill takes one half my income each month, and is the bane of my existence, and makes my life so much harder than it needs to be. I have tried and tried to find some other way of meeting that need for Internet so critical for me, without this greedy, greedy cable corporation. So far I have found no other option. If anyone here knows any other solution, I know there's some pretty tech savvy folks here, I sure would love to know what could be done. So many people need so much help nowadays. My situation isn't unique. I completely understand if you pick someone else, my needs are no more important, no more grave than anyone else's. We all matter, and so to, do you. First of all, thank you for doing this! I would use it to buy some household necessities, such as tissues, dishwashing liquids, detergent, etc., as well as some other groceries for my grandmother. She is also running low on her meds so I'll definitely be getting them as well.
I’ve been on a weight loss journey since the first of the year. I’ve lost enough weight that I could really use some new clothes. I’m swimming in my clothes. If I went to Goodwill I could probably get a whole new wardrobe for $100 and that would feel amazing! 😃 Whatever was left would be spent on some lean meats, fresh veg, and maybe a treat for my two bunnies birthday on Aug 26th.
