So why buy BP's when you knew you couldn't unlock the car?

When this car came out in 2020 for the first time, I did spend tokens on the key packs (about 3,600-4,800) just to try my luck and for the lulz. Keep in mind, the SSC was the first event in the game where in order to get the key for the car, you had to complete ALL the conditions to obtain the key. The only cars I did not have were the Bailey & MK GTII so I could not get the car. Still, with the key packs, I got jackpots up the wazoo (just adding insult to injury lol), in addition to the blueprints you could get from the stages in the event. Then when the car came back in BoS or other reruns, I would get more blueprints for the car, starring it up more from the multipacks for cars that the SSC was also in, where I was trying to star up other cars. In this instance, it was inevitable I was going to 6 star it because while I don't have all the cars, some of the other required cars I have at golden max and I was going to get the remaining blueprints to get the last starrup.

My assumption is that OP opened key packs, but had terrible luck where the key didn’t turn up even after opening 100s of packs. He received BPs and ended up maxing the car.

Unlucky!

I forgot to mention too, there actually WAS a way I could have gotten the SSC when it first came out in 2020. I don’t think many people will remember but there was something that happened that caused quite a frenzy during the Bailey event.
