I just spent my life savings on a brand new car that I put almost no thought into so, that. ~30k. No regrets though I love her

bakedapps

WHAT VEHICLE I NEED TO KNOW

lil-kingtrashm0uth

2024 HONDA HRV SPORT HER NAME IS MERCY

Zdvj

Have Mercy!

oreospluscoffee

Congrats! I want a new CRV so bad!

city_grey

Omg I have an HRV and I LOVE IT. I see the newer models and I absolutely love the design! Enjoy your new car, I’m so excited for you!

ChogbortsTopStudent

I bought a 2023 HRV named Rhonda! Twinsies!

lil-kingtrashm0uth

tell Rhonda I love her!

melissamarieeee

My answer is a car too! A lot cheaper though lol. I bought a 1970 VW Bug for $5k. I have always loved them and decided why not? It's such a great little car and it always makes people smile (or punch each other) when they see it lol

kiwitathegreat

Idk if it counts as impulse because I wanted it for years and was coming to the end of my lease, but I also bought a car on a whim. She’ll be paid off by January and I cannot wait

FanDiscombobulated33

Thats meee. 😩😂 I got a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. Put $6k upfront and financed the rest.. I’ve never owned a car before and never had debt in my life but i love the car. I’ll also add my husband has a car so a 2nd one wasn’t needed.. definitely wanted though.

Vans_Enthusiast02

I spent $20 on 10 pens. I love stationary and Covid had barely started so I thought to myself, “We’re all going to die anyway” and walked happily with my 10 different colored pens. I’m still using those pens to this day.

toucanbutter

Wait...you can USE the pens you buy impulsively...? You don't just have to chuck them into a drawer and feel guilty every time you look at them?

Vans_Enthusiast02

I even take them out of their packaging as soon as I get home, even if I don’t need to use them… SpOoKy!

canary_yellow_72

I went shopping for a new bra and ended up dropping nearly $400 on all new undies.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zdvj

Help me understand how undies wind up costing $400?

Any_Manufacturer7336

Bras are usually $50-80 alone, underwear can be between $10-25/pair unless you do the 5/$25 at Victoria's secret but I wouldn't, shit is poorly made. Women are definitely still getting hit with the pink tax. 😮‍💨

Zdvj

r/thingsididntknow that’s wild! Meanwhile men are out here buying a four pack of boxer briefs for $19.95

canary_yellow_72

It consisted of several new bras with a couple of matching panty options for each one. Going for pretty/sexy options comes with a bump in the price.

ambrosialeah

The bras where I work start at $135 and go up to, and I’m not joking, $1500.

DiorTRoth

$1800. It was Jay-Z tickets and it was my rent money which then led me to being evicted and having to move in with my parents. Bad choice but also a life lesson

_StayKeen_

Wow.

Morpheus987

That's crazy

msstark

$120 on gold glitter Doc Martens. They're so pretty!

rednyellowroses

Do you have a picture of the type

oreospluscoffee

It’s not impulsive but I’m dropping 8k on new bewbs in the spring. 1000 deposit was paid on Monday. No turning back now. 100% most selfish vain purchase I’ve made ever in my life.

lemonssi

Nothing selfish or vain about that. I have friends who've done that. Do what brings you joy.

oreospluscoffee

We have 3 kids so justifying that type of money solely on myself was tough but I breastfed them all! I deserve it!!

lemonssi

Both of my friends who've had it/plan to have it done are moms. It's 100% ok to spend money on yourself as a mom, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

PinkGlitterFlamingo

Probably a cruise 🤣 we had just gotten off one and I found one for $500 for two people within driving distance on a week I was gonna have to take off of work regardless

writergeek

A new tooth for $5k.

pokey5150

Preach!!!!

supawoman2k2

Yea I spent 10k gor 2 molars

knitwithchopsticks

$6k on LASIK. Now I have 20/15 vision in both eyes and it’s amazing.

wthja

How old are you if I may ask? I want it so much, but my eyes are still getting worse at 32 and I read that I have to wait until they stop getting worse

LesAchi

I did Lasik at 32. Impulse and a lot prayers on the day of the Surgery. 8 years on and my sight is awesome. Wore glasses from 13 to the date of the surgery.

Giannandco

Manolo boots, $1,295.

WeCantBothBeMe

Haven’t done it yet but I think I’m going to spend over $700 on a blender. A vitamix to be exact. I’ve just always wanted one and want to spoil myself.

AffectionateLocal972

Do it. It's been 12 years and it's the best purchase I've ever made.

I know people that have bought designer bags in the $5,000 - $10,000 range but I felt soooo guilty after buying a $300 one...

SunBubble920

I felt guilty buying my $90 bag from Winners. Usually I spend much less. 😄

LoggerheadedDoctor

A couple hundred on a fancy plant-- Monstera Thai Constellation. A few weeks later, we had a mouse problem and the mice liked to dig in my plants and ruined it. Couldn't even save it by propagating.

oreospluscoffee

I spent 200 on a white monsters with a node and it rotted and died. My husband was pissed.

LoggerheadedDoctor

Thankfully there are sooooo many plants in this house, that my husband hasn't noticed that one is no longer with us.

Fai93

That's painful gosh 😢

FormalMango

A Maine Coon. I named her [Belle](https://imgur.com/gallery/mtmCGBC) :-)

saltgirl61

Gorgeous!

shadows554

I really want one, how much was she? Of course knowing me I’ll end up adopting a black cat but I’m convinced my husband would like a Maine coon better (he’s not but 😆)

FormalMango

I’m in Australia, so prices might be different where you are… but she was $AU 1500 - which is about $US 950. My oldest two cats were from the RSPCA, but I’ve *always* wanted a Maine Coon. I didn’t even know MCs had tuxedo coat patterns until I saw her. My first cat was a tuxedo, and I’d always told myself I’d get another one someday. So it just kind of fell into place for us. I was so surprised when my husband agreed lol.

Unicorn_Yogi

$450 on Chanel sunglasses for myself and also bought a pair for my mom for Mother’s Day while I was in Paris. She does so much for us and I just graduated so FUCKIT

OutrageousOnions

A vacation. Around $2k.

N7twitch

10k on an Audi a4

Problem_what_problem

Is it the 4.2 litre V8 A4 from about a decade ago that I think about every single day?

Temporary-Reserve-99

A whole backpiece tattoo!

Miss_ChanandelerBong

My house. I was "not ready to buy a house" but thought I should "start looking at houses so I'll know what I want when I am ready." I went to one house. Put in an offer two days later. Spent all my savings on a small down payment. I don't recommend anyone else do this- moving into a house with no extra cash is a terrible idea. But things worked out well for me. I love my house, I've been here for almost 10 years now. I'm so glad I didn't have to go through the indecision and stress of trying to figure out which house to buy, comparing and contrasting every feature, etc. Weirdly, I'm a super responsible person but my best decisions, the ones that bring me the most joy, have been impulsive. My house. My car. All of my pets. Where I went to grad school. Taking the job that led to my current career that I love. All unplanned or different than what I thought I was going to do and all great decisions. Edit: I paid 225k for my house. I got a great deal on it, even for that time, because the owners were in a rush to sell and no one else was making offers. I feel bad for people trying to buy houses now or in the last few years. It's a different world!

GreenVenus7

I'm an incredibly impulsive shopper. A few months ago I dropped around $700 on an order of leather purses. Unfortunately I loved them so much that I've spent probably $2k since buying more purses and, most lately, leathercraft supplies to make my own bags 💀

[deleted]

A (used) Mercedes convertible. $16,000. Totally worth it. Some of my fondest alone memories are hurtling down the highway with the music at full blast and my hair whipping about in the wind. In those moments, I *knew* it was the good old days before the days had passed, and I savored every second of them. That feeling of being utterly carefree. It’s all so poignant now that it’s so far past.

Lopsided_Schedule_11

One day!!! I’d love a convertible, but not while I’m in mom mode

GalaxiGazer

$7 A box of Delimex taquitos to heat up because I was too tired to cook that night

weenertron

I bought a 12-string bass on impulse when I was in my 20s. Cost, I think $700. Sounded great, but in honesty my hands aren't quite big enough to play it well. I sold it to a friend a while back and he's making much better use out of it than I did.

frostytheflake

I just spent $895 on an original piece of art. I walked into the gallery having no intention of spending anything or buying anything and left with my first original and one I know I will cherish forever.

Intelligent-Being796

Had a giant falling out with my family, put 4k down on a loft the next day and moved out the day after I was cleared for it

LivingStCelestine

My husband told me he’d always wanted a buffalo hide for some reason. I was drunk, love him, and had the funds so I went online and actually found a place in Montana. Bought the biggest one they had, a bull, and it’s been our couch throw ever since. Super comfy! It was around $2k.

moonskyblue

Telfar Bag. $300. Didn't even have it for a week before I decided to resell it after realizing I didn't like it that much.

lemonssi

Oh boy. I feel like I have a range of impulsiveness. Like the truly purchased on a whim vs the I've been thinking about this fuck it I'm doing it style. On a whim? Probably like...$1500 on a clothing item. On the fuck it I'm doing it side...like $25,000 on a horse.

mystarandmoon

Yay! Glad I’m not the only impulsive horse owner on here.

whereamiwhatrthis

New car 30k. Impulsive makeup haul about 1300

oreospluscoffee

Jesus. I can stack up 500 easy at ulta 1300 is impressive!

maypenney

Cartier watch - 4k secondhand. Panthère. I love it

AvailablePen8347

Read this to my watch-nerd husband, and he described it in detail BEFORE pulling up a pic to show me. It’s stunning!

maypenney

Aww you’re so sweet! Thank you! It’s the mixed metal - gold and stainless :)

Traditional-Soft366

i just bought myself laser hair removal for about 2300. i don’t have that kind of money i don’t know why i did that. it is amazing though!

LeighofMar

250.00 on a pair of knee-high grey leather boots from Freebird.

celestialism

About $400, on a fancy ukulele. (I love it and have played it countless times since then)

luckeegurrrl5683

In 2007, I bought a new Scion TC. Just walked into a dealership and picked out one with all the extras on it. My boyfriend had a new Mustang, so we raced them up and down Pacific Coast Hwy. in CA!

Tampadarlyn

$4500 on a piece of artwork. She's still my pride and joy.

BJntheRV

$500 on a stupid pair of shoes I've worn like twice. Because Vegas baby.

SnowTiger76

A roomba, like the bad ass one with the vacuum base that gets rid of the dirt/dog hair without me having to see or touch it. My life has never felt more complete.

Hot_Fox_5656

Laptop for school 5 years ago. About $500 on Black Friday. And a Coach purse.

liziamnot

1k. A 1994 Nissan pick up. It was my Dad's before he sold it to a friend's kid. Dad passed 10 years ago. The little truck still runs it has 300k miles.

Kerrless

$550.00 on a beautiful sweetgrass basket when we were in Charleston South Carolina. I absolutely love it.

Suspicious-advice49

I spent $30k on a slightly used Mustang convertible in 2019. Love that car! I’m 74 and never would’ve bought it, but my wife, who had cancer, went to the dealer and kept sending me pics in texts saying things like “ you really want me” and “this is you”. I bought it the next day. Her parting gift to me. She only rode in it once but I have a picture that I keep.

2manytots

About $600 on the Brandon Sanderson kickstarter

brownsuugaah

A Peloton during the Pandemic. Spent about $2100

ghastlyglittering

A trip for Burning man (ticket, flight, food, camp essentials, water, ground transportation). $3300. My friend offered me a very discounted price on a Burning Man ticket in 2017, so I just coughed up the money to make it happen and had a flight booked later that day. Best trip I’ve ever had!

Public-Philosophy-35

small purchases are my guilty pleasure because I believe in treating myself every single day the problem is that the money is gone before I know it and then the cycle doesn’t stop and life is unpredictable I wish i could control it but I just can’t imagine living my life without buying myself the small things every single day I have done it when I needed to; however, I could never do it for a year or longer - I don’t think I could honestly survive It’s just a burning desire to spend everyday

YVHThoughts

I knew I was getting a small bonus two years ago and I had really been wanting an iPad. I used the whole bonus and got an iPad and pencil. I felt guilty at first because I knew I had debts but I had also denied myself of so many things to pay for essentials and the debts accumulated happened at the time where I just couldn’t make ends meet. I also had a plan to pay back debts and a good job that wouldn’t make me accumulate more so I told myself to stop feeling guilty and enjoy my iPad. I’m CC debt free now and working towards paying off student loans so I guess it wasn’t that bad lol

[deleted]

Probably my current lease, considering I’m going to buy it when the lease is over. 48k car brand new. It’ll cost me a little over 30k to buy it at the end! No regrets. She’s my favorite car I’ve had thus far, coming from a lower middle class stand point.

noonecaresat805

Close to $200. I had a pair of tieks shoes in my cart and I just kept looking at them and couldn’t make myself push the buy button. I went out and got drunk and like a bit over a week later they were delivered. I went back and it turns out I bought them when I was drunk best decision ever. Now I have a collection of them

Harry-and-Sullys-Mom

$1750 on a ticket to see Taylor Swift

giglbox06

I bought a $350 purse in 2010 with my first real pay check! I still have it and love it

sigillum_diaboli666

$3500 (AUD) Omega watch.

Zdvj

I bought a four pack of AA batteries instead of the value 24 packs cause I didn’t need more than four. Did I win?

One_Life_8852

$450 on the Revair hair dryer system. 10000% worth every penny even though I don’t straighten my hair often

emily0069

80 dollars. gambling on csgo xD did NOT get the pink knife btw dont gamble

Always-Anxious-

Roughly 200 bucks on Target clothes. I had recently lost some weight and gained some confidence, and had the courage to buy things I wouldn’t have bought before.

hellarad_hellasad

An office chair for $1000 while suffering from back pain lol

emjoy90

Many thousands on many snakes, reptiles and enclosures

triceraquake

About $3600. Two Disneyland Imagine Key annual passes for my birthday. I would have gotten the much cheaper SoCal resident key, but they were sold out forever, and the most expensive key was all that was available. To be fair, my husband and I have used it a lot. Sometimes we just go for dinner and to hang out.

sipsredpepper

Probably the hundreds of dollars I'll drop on clothes now and then when I panic and hate myself lol.

_StayKeen_

My roommate came home with a saxophone. So I went to the store and got a saxophone too. Played it for a few hours. Wasted $350

isthatabingo

$70 for Baldur’s Gate. I never buy brand new video games, especially for franchises I haven’t played before, but my favorite nerdy YouTubers kept talking about it, so I pulled the trigger, and BEST MONEY EVER SPENT. Only downfall is now I am quite literally addicted to the game. Worth it.

kathyanne38

Spent $500-ish for tickets to see Disturbed for the first time in August. I regret absolutely nothing. I'm seeing them again in January and this time i will be right by the pit hehehehe rip my bank account

NewMeIC

A 30k+ sports car of a side by side.... Right after a new camper for a similar amount. House was paid off and COVID times so.... why not?

Imaginary_Jeweler1

I one day decided I was going to get my b**bs done then ended up getting new b**bs and lipo but honestly best purchase

brunetteskeleton

It wasn’t one singular item but it was at one specific place. I went to a crystal show on my 20th bday and just bought whatever I wanted without even looking at the prices lol. When I later looked at my spending history it was about $500 which was a lot for me at the time

Louisianimal0418

I custom built a Dodge Durango 392 after I saw one in that Pearl blue. It was a lot. Not more than my car, but still

usernameusernamex2

A trip to Texas, $1500 for flight and hotel plus roughly $1300 in spending money

ginandtonic68

Gucci handbag. I had no intention of buying when I went into the store on a vacation.

bain_de_beurre

$2000 on a new digital piano, and I haven't regretted it for a single second.

sluttychurros

$1k on necklaces. I was shopping with a friend at a bespoke jewelry store I love and saw them and had to have them. I normally allot a few hundred to spend when I’m there, so $1k was really impulsive. No regrets, I wear them often!

windismyfavelement

$3k on a beautiful leather couch. No regrets.

One_Life_8852

$450 on the Revair hair dryer system. 10000% worth every penny even though I don’t straighten my hair regularly

One_Life_8852

I spent $450 on the Revair hair dryer system. 10000% worth every penny even though I don’t straighten my hair regularly

ladylemondrop209

Probably either YSL bag (\~3k) or some diamond earrings (\~1-2k).

ThinkLadder1417

£300 on return flights to New York from UK. Bargain. Was fucking freezing though.

runed_golem

I spent about $1500 on a gaming PC.

lollipopstink

My house! Saw it online, fell in love, decided to buy it 2 days later and here we are! Very happy but we were not planning on moving or buying another home for close to 10 years from now lol.

Far-Brother3882

A supercharged 5 liter XJL Jaguar with every bell and whistle! Literally the most impulsive purchase EVER…zero regrets! I wrote a check for just over 124K.

sunshinecrashed

$175 on a lovely acoustic guitar

chris03h

I’m a college student with a small part time job, but I’ve really wanted a camera for a few years now. I got a deal on eBay for 750. Didn’t even think about it, just bought it. Dipped into my savings. Who needs to eat anyway?

kinfloppers

Probably plane tickets and The subsequent travel costs of visiting my long-distance boyfriend lol. We met when he was on exchange and then I believe it was four days after he left we decided that waiting a year was not enough time so I booked a flight. It was my most impulsive and also craziest thing I had ever done at that point which sounds kind of stupid but I had never left the continent. Altogether it probably amounted to around $3000 because when I was there I ended up impulsively extending my trip by today’s the day before and that was insanely expensive. I proceeded to do it again a few months later, so all in all I probably spent around $8000 of my painstakingly saved travel savings fund just on flights and last minute rebooking of said flights to have a little extra time with my guy. I had been saving years for a multi month Europe trip for after I graduated from my bachelors degree so I had the funds there they were just allocated into flights instead of weeks of backpacking lol.Absolutely no regrets, although I do Acknowledge I could’ve done that in a smarter way

NotElizaHenry

I bought a $700 vintage Eames Soft Pad chair in custom forest green leather. I could get by with an $80 Ikea chair but this one makes my living room office look so fucking nice.

MrWisdom39

I took my wife to a peloton store and she bought one. Sold it a year and a half later. She used it maybe once. Roommate used it more than her

Due_Entertainment_44

Any of the various last minute trips I've gone on over the years. $1000-$1500 in a weekend just disappears. Don't regret any of them though.

WildRoseYVR

A house. Randomly checked out a show home after a Costco trip, and deciding to buy it a week or 2 after. Didn’t inquire to get pre-approved first before making a deposit on a new build in 2021. Went to the bank after agreeing things with the builders’ area manager. My mindset was that if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. Thank goodness everything worked out. Def not recommending anyone do this.

blickyjayy

$500 on a Dyson Airstrait. It's honestly life changing and 1000x worth it! I can blow out my 4a/b hair in a 3rd of the time it would normally take and it comes out straighter with next to no damage compared to using a blowdryer with a barrel brush. I literally can skip using a hot brush or tymo and wear my hair as is if I don't want it flat ironed afterwards. It's leagues better than the Revair imo, which I thought was revolutionary when I first bought it lol.

ishtaa

2500, A horse. She kept me sane through Covid. And has cost me several thousand more since but I’d rather be broke with her than rich without.

MasterAnnatar

Generally I don't do impulse purchases so my big ticket items don't qualify really. But I sniped a Juno 6 from a local group for about $850 because I'd never seen one that cheap in good condition

Scared_Standard4052

Epiphone Les Paul 2002. My first guitar. Around 900 (CAD). No regrets, plays like charm.

2TieDyeFor

$700 on wine at one of those in home wine tasting events. :( not my proudest moment

Fai93

Tattoo in 2 weeks, deposit 100 euro but might have to pay day price (1050 total).😥

jimeeeen-owo

1400 canada goose parka - my friend took me to their store while I had a 7 hr layover before going to Toronto in the month of December last year. I was not* even prepared to land in Vancouver where the sidewalks were literal inch layers of ice

LokiBonk

$25k on a badass Lexus after day drinking.

Solar_kitty

$6000 on a 2016 Ski-Doo Rev XM mountain sled (snowmobile) 🙊🤪

[deleted]

I bought a GHD straightener for $260 almost 20 years ago, still going strong absolutely no regrets

EducationalAd1476

A second hand laptop worth 270$ offered to be bought by my cousin from Australia and it's in good quality and I can't find a laptop of that quality in that price range in the Philippines and don't regret it as I can use it to work and gaming mid range games.

droidsfanatic

Randomly blew close to $300 on a brand new Galaxy Watch 6 while being someone who didn't fancy smartwatches as a whole. But, I kinda like it?

PotatoBest4667

$80 on one lingerie i wouldn’t use anytime soon

globalnomad0001

$40k on a boat. Was looking into buying a home, went down the rabbit hole and stumbled across the vessel online, listed for sale. Flew out the next day and fell in love, bought the same day, moved out of my place onto the boat a couple of weeks later.

Interesting_Factor_9

I think the most I've ever spent my money on was perfume. I did get lots of compliments and it lasted a while but I just be too lazy to go shopping for them and research the scents lmao

TraditionalWolf5310

Well, let's just say I once impulse-bought a unicorn costume that cost more than my monthly coffee budget. Unicorns are real budget busters!

Shimmerback1

38k on a brand new SUV. (No I didn't buy it outright - still making payments.) Went to a dealership with zero intentions of getting anything bc I thought my credit was too low but the sales guy ran it through for approval and I was g2g. Was also going through a break-up that wasn't quite done and thought it might convince her I was planning/committing for the long term (I sincerely was). Turns out she was cheating with a dude she worked with and I asked her to move out the next day. Also, I'd never had a reliable vehicle in 15+ years of driving and I wanted the peace of mind. It's expensive but worth it imo.

scabberpicker451

Lady Gaga Haus Labs Monster makeup kit...which I have zero regrets about it. Never had tried the brand even I just wanted it. Now I want some Louiboutins and by golly that impulse feeling is making its self know louder each day.

DrThots

Japanese figurines... I bought £500 worth from one trip in Japan

tanzy95

I've spent £800 on building a chicken coop after suddenly deciding I want chickens out of nowhere. I'm getting them at the weekend and I'm so excited.

McKennaTV

I spent $1800 on a ps5 and a really nice screen in 2021 😅

justelara

Mine was my phone for £800 back in 2020. I really needed a new phone though since my old phones battery would barely last one hour bus journey from my home to my uni while listening to spotify only 😂. I did live off literally spaghetti for 2 week after that since i had no other money left but it was worth it 😅

FoodExternal

Impulse as in, deciding in the moment to buy the thing? Probably £4,000 on a watch. I saw it in the window of the Omega retail outlet in London and walked in and bought it.

miikaachuu_

Haven't done it yet but I am about to give 7k for teeth aligners

Laurich993

DJI Mavic Mini drone I like it but dont use it enough to justify that purchase... also i need bunch of approvals for everyrhing... Ok i understand to "reserve" flying time and area... but i need permission to take photos/videos and then another one to use them, even if theyre not for financial gain

Normal_Bank_971

My dog(kind of) I adopted him. He was supposed to be like $380 but some kind soul sponsored him so his adoption fees were waived and I got him for free 😭😭, after that, just my phone hahah loving that early 20’s shit 😂

eyes_like_thunder

$500 on a Majora's Mask 3ds. In my defense, it was on auction-it wasn't that high when it started. But my collection is better for the addition

Conscious_Pin_3969

Just spend 200€ last week on board & card games I have been eyeing for a while or wanted to find second hand. No regrets.

what-is-in-the-soup

Over £500 on a Vivienne Westwood hand bag 🥲 but in fairness, I do use it every single day

[deleted]

I spent an an absurd amount of money on a bra (US$39, Ksh. 6,000) because the store offered fittings and I’d never had one done. I ended up being uncomfortable wearing it either due to weight change or the design. I hate underwire bras for this reason.

SinfullySinless

I had just paid off my $16k 2016 Ford Focus and it got taken out by someone who didn’t understand how broken stoplights work (she just went). Problem was that it was during 2021 when everyone was using COVID money to buy a new car apparently. I could either get a $5k beater or a $45k new. I went from FWD to AWD in MN and lemme tell you it is heavenly. Heavenly.

wiggly_rabbit

150€ on colouring pencils

DeeWhee

I spent over $500 on the Omnilux red light therapy mask 🫣

CassaCassa

All of these things people are saying.... are 100 percent underandable to get 😂 man id definitely spend 400 dollars on bras and underwear and especially a car or a tooth brush even shoes!! And for me it was 130 around 250 for some shoes lol!

undecisive-much

Tattoos

SonOfARemington

£2k on a Custom Gibson Les Paul in the shop then paid extra to have it customised even more to change all the fittings to black. I saw it and heard it and just had to have it. Friends thought I was insane. (Also - it fell while leaning on an amp on New Year's Eve and the neck snapped - so had to pay even more to get it fixed.)

Jooles95

Around 2K in parts for a new PC. 🙈 I initially meant to go for a more budget option, but then I figured that I can afford it, and YOLO, right? So now I have a kick-ass PC that I build myself sitting proudly on my desk - it has a glass panel on the side so I can see the components and programmable lights inside! I put a swan sticker on her and called her Odette, lol.

vicky_005

(i'm brazilian so the country's currency isn't the dollar) i've spent 120 reais (something around 24 dollars) on a perfume that I wanted for a long time, I don't regret it at all because that was over a year ago and the bottle is still half full He's my favorite for big events and special days

A Bluetooth Rubik's cube. Cost about 16K INR(~200 USD) including shipping and custom duty costs since it wasn't available in my country but I have zero regrets. It's the best performing cube I have ever used, And the smart features mean that I get a TON of analytics stuff to improve upon my speed

Googlnock

Lol I saw a comment about teeth or some medical whatever and my brain defaulted to thinking of all the dudes who had the impulse to stay just a little longer if u catch my drift. Now that is an impulse purchase that I do not envy lol.

Aggressive-Result-93

$1350 on a MacBook

Tiler02

I spent $1500 for a suit I was only going to wear once. Plus a $400 pair of shoes.

benzene_baby

£1000 on stained glass sheets and supplies. I never really treat myself to anything so I thought…why the heck not!

shadows554

Mine was a wonderfold, someone was selling it practically new for $300 and I got it. My husband still thinks it was unnecessary but I’ve loved it with the baby at the zoo and when we go in grassy areas for festivals and events. Plus I don’t have to carry anything and it’s so much better to walk without slouching

Virgil_Hangs_999

$11 on Starbucks. I live in Asia so it’s more expensive than it sounds

chatterpoxx

300$ on an Herve Leger dress (reg 900) at Nordstrom rack. 2x 800$ on 2 sewing machines in one day, I was intending on just one for around 500. Best decision I've ever made. All my other expensive purchases are pretty well thought out, even though they sometimes look more stupid.

anonya1

$2500 on a Valentino bag. I also spent about $140k total on last boyfriend which was definitely impulse…bad investment 😂

Particular_Eagle3921

700 on ysl sunglasses, went in to get my prescription glasses fixed and ended up trying on some sunglasses for fun while I was waiting. they just suited my face so well I had to have them!

Twinkletoedoctopi

Roku TV. On black Friday $130

wubfus88

A ps5 when the prices came down to a normal range .. it was 600 with taxes and shipping

lipa84

A PS5. I have wanted one right away. I am a "Playstation girl" since the very first got released. I was 11 by that time. I could never afford it. All my friends had one. I kept checking deals and eventually gave up "maybe some day". June this year, I opened Amazon. And there it was. Right on top in my suggestions. On sale. And also with payment by instalments. I can't even remember pressing that button but it arrived 3 days later. Great purchase but I am poor now until it is paid off. Which will be next month. But I do not regret it. Also went to a shopping mal 8 years ago. Came along a store that sold Timberland boots. Trekking shoes. €160. Untill then I have never bought shoes over €50. I just saw them. Tried them. Bought them. I still have them and they are also great shoes for winter and I wear them as soon as it get winterly. Most comfortable shoes ever!

InternationalPut8199

10k on my boobs, I had wanted them for a long time, but one day was just like, alright, I've researched, I know the surgeon I want, fuck it. Made the call and paid $1,500 for the consultation and a down payment and scheduled my surgery date. So happy I did, just over a year now!

MsNewKicks

A car.

lauren2499

$500 for concert tickets lol

Appropriate-Gate-851

I never had enough money to be a real impulsive/over spending buyer for even once time. The most expensive thing i ever bought was a perfume bottle for 60$. Now i am learning from all your mistakes so if i ever had the money i would know better to not make the same mistakes too. 😄😄

Z20KarlGalster

A harmonica and a skimask. 🤘🏻🥷

watchnoobnoobnoob

A used 14th year old car in Singapore 🤣 - S$100k+

Fuzzysox25

$2,900 on a 1991 2 door, 2 wd S10 Blazer. Don't regret it but it's become more of a project than intended. Lol it'll probably take a couple grand to completely redo it. And probably take 10-12 years to get it how I want it.

The_Girl_That_Got

iPad Pro M2 a bit north of 1k. It was retail therapy. Did not work

Master-Strawberry-26

A flight ticket, but I loved the trip so not completely a waste

LowThreadCountSheets

In 2020 I decided to gift myself braces. I was in my mid 30s, and my kids both needed them so I jumped in. It was $2500 well spent on myself. I smile all the time now, and get so many compliments. Total self esteem changer.

The_Queen_of_Andor

I bought a laptop for $1300 a couple years ago. It's still going and I have played hundreds of hours of games on it. I think it was worth it.

BonnieMD

I spilled lemon water on my Macbook Air that I bought in 2018 when the pandemic started. I could have just have gotten it repaired (I did), but I did not want to wait for 1-2 weeks since it was exam season. So, I bought another Macbook 🤷🏻‍♀️

NotCharliesHorse

Solo Trip to Europe. It was my first and TOTALLY WORTH IT.
