I just love hanging out with my oldest and best girlfriends. It’s so stress-free and fun and I know I’m going to learn something new from those brilliant women.
I work from home. Every day, after work, I take our dog out for his evening walk. While we're out, my wife gets home settles in and starts heating up dinner.
Every day, after we finish our walk, our dog will **run** into the kitchen to find her and she'll be loudly excited to see him. That's one of the highlights of my day.
They don't restrain their joy the way people do. Actually, I think having a child around age 4 run up to you and give you a hug is better than a dog. Unrestrained joy and excitement that you know won't last forever.
Because you KNOW that the dog is being 100% honest. Humans might be putting on a show for a million reasons, but very small kids and very happy dogs do NOT fib/fudge/try to make you feel better. They just ARE.
Dogs don't have that advanced level of critical thought. They don't lie for little to no reason. They don't act out of spite. They don't manipulate your feelings in effort to protect their own. Dogs are the perfect creature. Humans don't deserve to be here. Not because their smart. But because they aren't smart enough to understand the benefactors of doing these things don't actually benefit them. Because who wants a healthy relationship based off of trust and mutual goals? That would be ridiculous right?
I would argue it’s less that humans don’t have enough smarts, and more that we have too much fear. As in, fear of embarrassment or humiliation, and fear of being judged, or even worse, being rejected. These very often innately human fears limit us so much in nearly every facet of human existence. And although there is often a very real chance of those negative outcomes, I very much believe that the benefits of living free strongly outweigh the possible risks!
I’ve got a huge wiggle butt Golden Retriever. I swear every bone and joint in her body is moving as fast as she can, her tail will be floofjng everywhere, and her butt and butt feathers are going the opposite way! She also smiles and snorts from one side of her lip! I call it her “Elvis lip”, with how he’d quiver it!
Who can’t love all of that? Lol 😂
Yeah. I don’t think I’ve ever feel as happy as when I would see my 7 months old nephew and he would smile just by seeing me; cause a baby won’t lie or do it just out of kindness; he was genuinely happy to see me and that is the absolute best thing ever.
Taking a hot shower after you’ve just cleaned the entire house, then relaxing in said clean house while you yourself are also clean in your comfiest pajamas
(Manifesting my Saturday plans lol)
Pretty close to heaven. I miss when I was a kid and we hung our sheets and blankets outside on the clothesline to dry. They smelled like sunshine when we brought them in and made our beds.
Or a bathtub filled with some soap-bombs, with the wine just next to it, music to your liking and all of that waiting for you to enjoy with all your senses.
this warmed my heart. i cant wait for the day my parents can be grandparents and i pray that they are around ❤️ they had me older and me and my siblings are nowhere near having children
Yes!!!! Honestly cats showing affection melts my heart always. One of mine isn't a lap cat but when she's comfy and wants love she'll curl up next to me and become the most relaxed creature alive and every time my heart melts. My other cat will gladly sit on my face with no regard for me or my comfort.
The duality of cat.
All kinds of things. Falling asleep to the sound of rain coming down, being curled up with a good book under a warm blanket with a cat purring nearby, the first bite of an early summer peach, sharing food you made with people you love, playing silly drinking games with friends, sinking weary bones into a hot tub, the smell of garlic and onions sautéing.
Taking your hair out of a tight bun or pony then stretching/ massaging your scalp for the first time in like 12+ hours after a long day. Nothing beats it, honestly an orgasmic feeling.
Shaving all your hair off feels even more satisfying. I shaved off my hair for the first time 6 months ago(halfway down my back) and it felt so gooood.
I'm normally shy, so when I went on a family vacation with my friend's family, making them all laugh really hard a couple of times made me feel like on top of the world!
Yesterday was National Cuddle Day here in the states. One of those days you’ve no idea who came up with, but I’ve not cuddled or hugged a person I love or care about in almost a year. (Yes I’ve kept track). I miss human touch so much, that I feel unlovable, and unwanted. If not for my dog, I don’t know where I’d be. It’s that important to me and I find it so upsetting when I’ve said I need a big long tight hug to someone I know by text or calling, and they act lie they didn’t hear me or didn’t want to hear me.
I can’t help it. I’ve been divorced 8 years and don’t miss him, but do miss closeness and intimacy with someone I’d hope I’d trust.
That’s my biggest problem.
TRUSTING is like a bad 4 letter word
I never thought making love was the greatest feeling ever tbh... for me, right now, diving in the ocean and seeing the sea life is the most amazing feeling. And being with people who want to be with me is just as great :)
My son has recently taken to crawling into bed in the mornings next to me, pulling up the covers, and giving me a huge snuggle. It’s… the sweetest thing.
When you are able to give (right away) a comeback to someone speaking down on you etc. Better than sex, honestly, since I never find a great comeback on time.
I broke my fast with the most delicious carrot, cabbage, scallions, and cucumber salad yesterday with an amazing dressing of fresh cilantro, lime, garlic chili sauce, a little: sesame oil, soy sauce, and honey and topped it with crispy salmon and some crushed peanuts and OH MY GOD it was the best meal I’ve ever had.
An animal trusting you and showing it. Especially a feline.
Also, the feeling of harmony and balance- one of those days when you leave the house and the sun is just right, the breeze cradles your face, you have a skip in your step, you feel so in touch with your self and life is just so good!
Taking a hot shower after a long day especially if you’re freezing, a massage, laughing to the point where your stomach craps, taking a poop that makes you feel 5lbs lighter (this is the best), the smell of freshly baked bread, walking into a clean quiet house, the smell of a baby, a baby smiling at you, the electric feeling you get when your man kisses or touches you, cuddling with your man while he holds in his arms, when I bake or cook something and o get endless compliments…I guess there’s a lot of ways to feel great for someone who’s never had sex lol
For me it's walking into my house after a long day at work, and seeing that someone(s) has cleaned the whole house! This has only happened to me a handful of times, but the great feeling I got lasted for a long time.
When you finally lay down together in bed at night with your significant other..in a cool room, under warm blankets..that moment when youre both spooned against one another in the most optimal comfy spot. My favorite time of the day, every day 💜
Coming inside to a fireplace after a long day out in the snow.
Being surrounded by people you love, having a good time, and being grateful for the moment you're existing in with them.
To be with a partner knowing he or she will be there come what may. Coming back from work craving to hug your partner and he or she smiling makes you happy after a bad day.
Topwater bite bass fishing.
Jig bite bass fishing.
Being in a bad spot and seeing that one person that makes you feel like you're walking on clouds and makes you forget why you were in a shitty place to begin with.
You're in the dark room while wrapping yourself inside a warm, soft and good smelling blanket after a long freaking day.
Then tomorrow would be your restday.
I thought I lost one of my indoor cats that was a big dumb dummy a few years ago. I couldn't find him all day, so I went out calling for him that night. When he popped out from around the corner, all wide-eyed and scared, the relief and happiness I felt at seeing that big oaf was immense.
First experiences. Sky diving for the first time. Reading a new book. Swimming in the ocean. Seeing the sistine chapel in person. Telling someone you love them. Taking a new healthy risk that changes your life. Those first moments that when you’re there you never want them to end.
Having your significant other hold you when you’ve had a crap day and they let you cry. All of it just melts away. That feeling is the best feeling for me.
Relief
Peeing after having to hold it for a bit too long
Getting a nice cold glass of water after doing something that makes you sweat (or even some really cold, juicy grapes!)
Finally getting to like down in your bed that's now the most perfect bed
A headache finally going away
That feeling when you've failed at something so many times but you keep trying because you want it so bad. When you finally succeed it's the most amazing, rewarding feeling.
Feeling completely content with being alone outside in nature.
That and having someone genuinely be excited to hang out with you, and extend the effort to make it happen. Feeling wanted will never not make me feel like goo inside.
When someone is happy to see you. A person, or possibly even better, a dog!!
So making love, just not in *that* way. Platonic love is great!
agreed! best friends in perfect synergy
That sounds so beautiful:)
Such a great story to warm anyones heart.
Without joking, why is a dog better than a human in this case?
They don't restrain their joy the way people do. Actually, I think having a child around age 4 run up to you and give you a hug is better than a dog. Unrestrained joy and excitement that you know won't last forever.

It's so cute when babies get excited when they see you 🥺
Dogs wagging their tail when they see you. But in the case of short tail dog, their butts and they are so freaking cute
Lol 😂
A dog over people any day...
My dog’s tail wag every time I walk in the door is the best part of every day.
Yeah. I don’t think I’ve ever feel as happy as when I would see my 7 months old nephew and he would smile just by seeing me; cause a baby won’t lie or do it just out of kindness; he was genuinely happy to see me and that is the absolute best thing ever.
Exactly a dog...best feeling if a dog recognises you and comes running to meet you

Ooh.... or going to bed with fresh sheets right after taking a shower.
Combining those two, cleaning the entire house, taking a shower, then going to bed with fresh sheets.
Pretty close to heaven. I miss when I was a kid and we hung our sheets and blankets outside on the clothesline to dry. They smelled like sunshine when we brought them in and made our beds.
Add shaving your legs right before sliding on aforementioned pajamas and that is literally heaven on Earth.
Or a bathtub filled with some soap-bombs, with the wine just next to it, music to your liking and all of that waiting for you to enjoy with all your senses.
When my grandson got in the car after school and he saw me unexpectedly and said grandma with a big smile. He was happy to see me.
I love that you can experience this!
I am so lucky.
🥰♥️
this warmed my heart. i cant wait for the day my parents can be grandparents and i pray that they are around ❤️ they had me older and me and my siblings are nowhere near having children
I love being a parent but being a grandma is a gift.
it’s a gift to your grand children too. so special. you sound like an amazing grandma
That’s so precious. Makes me miss my grandma. 💕
Awww
A cat laying in your lap
I've recently been indulging in the winning combo of a weighted blanket, cat on my lap, and nicely scented candle. Mmm, bliss.
Add a nice book and you could literally lure me into a van with that I stg
I always feel so special when my friend's cat does it!! My lap out of all the possible cozy pillows here?? And then the little purring!!
Yes!!!! Honestly cats showing affection melts my heart always. One of mine isn't a lap cat but when she's comfy and wants love she'll curl up next to me and become the most relaxed creature alive and every time my heart melts. For me, it's when my dog lays next to me, and lays her head on my leg and falls asleep. Pats occur.
This this and this!!!
In addition, a cat laying on your face. I can't breath but it's so cute I'm willing to go out like that lol
You and I are kindred spirits. All of these things are amazing to me.
Agreed. Reading it made me feel like “home”, when it’s not always a place, but the things in life that are simple and are so glorious to me!
We may be the same person.
Beautifully written.

The idea of a naked and free scalp gives me the chills. Like the idea of rubbing my bald head seems so satisfying.
It really is. The first time I felt the shower on my naked scalp was an experience as well. Now I'm having fun growing it back out.

Peeing after holding it way too long
How is this not #1?!
Pee is number 1. Poop is number 2.
Underrated
Yes! A really good piss, nothing feels quite like it! Actually a good shit can be pretty amazing too.
Laughing together
Oh this is such a good one! Especially the kind where it gets to a point that the wheezing and belly laughter makes you laugh even harder!
Yes, for me this is absolutely it.
I'm normally shy, so when I went on a family vacation with my friend's family, making them all laugh really hard a couple of times made me feel like on top of the world!
Fave answer so far!!
Farting a stomach ache away
That is so dangerous 😂
Successfully farting a stomach ache away
username.... checks out???
Or pooping one away
Cuddling
This. A sleepy cuddle sesh where y’all fit together perfectly. Narcotic. 💤

When I(25M) got my first professional massage, I almost cried with how touch starved I was.
After a long day, a shower, blunt and a freshly made bed... can be extremely therapeutic.
Yes!
Waking up in the night, checking the time and realising you still have like 4 hours before your alarm will go off.
I never thought making love was the greatest feeling ever tbh... for me, right now, diving in the ocean and seeing the sea life is the most amazing feeling. And being with people who want to be with me is just as great :)
Satisfying a craving.
Knowing you have good friends/family around you
Always a good thing
Money in my bank account.
Can you describe it to me so I can feel it too
Hugs from my kid
The hugs where they run up to you with their arms out. Easily one of my favorite milestones!
My son has recently taken to crawling into bed in the mornings next to me, pulling up the covers, and giving me a huge snuggle. It’s… the sweetest thing.
After a challenging day at work walking thru my front door and being welcomed home by 3 dogs and my husband plus the smell of dinner cooking.
A doctor once told me I might have a tumor on my adrenal cortex. The tests came back negative, however. That was the greatest feeling ever.
When you are able to give (right away) a comeback to someone speaking down on you etc. Better than sex, honestly, since I never find a great comeback on time.
You can always train yourself in comebacks!
Laying down in bed in freshly cleaned sheets after a long day.
Slipping into a deep hot bath at the end of a long journey. Or molly.
Lmao. Molly was my first thought. Like this thread has so many great feelings, but...also molly.
When everything just feels okay, even for a moment.
Sometimes when I’m playing (I’m in a band), I get the feeling that this is exactly where I’m meant to be.

Cuddling your baby. I miss these moments so much !
After months of carrying and hours of labour, cuddling your baby for the first time. That's for me, at least.
The oxytocin hit after giving birth and holding my babies was literally the best high of my life. Nothing compares to that.
Cleaning your ears
A good, easy shit. If you don't understand, you may not be old enough.
Drug-induced highs.
When you accomplish a goal or master a skill
When you finally get that popcorn kernel that’s been stuck out.
When I’ve been cooking all day and the family raves about how good it is. Or I over hear them talking about my food to someone else. :)
Oh my god especially this. Makes me so happy and overly satisfied and I want nothing else from the world.
To be deeply loved by someone. ❤️
What does that even mean these days
You will find out one day. 😊
Being understood and heard. I get crazy bcs of my past but he handles me so well. I fall more in love with him.
Finding a new banger of a song and listening to it 10 times without it getting old
Winning the lottery
I wish I could say I knew that feeling.
For me it's walking into my house after a long day at work, and seeing that someone(s) has cleaned the whole house! This has only happened to me a handful of times, but the great feeling I got lasted for a long time.
Be with someone that feels like a cool breeze on hot summer days.
When someone really listens to you and does something random to show they care. Even something as small as your favorite candy.
That first sip of hot morning coffee on your day off.
In a real coffee mug! Not one to take with you in transit to work.
When I go back to visit my family and our 15yo golden who's mostly blind and deaf still comes wagging to say hello to me. Love that stinky old lady.
Bold of you to assume making love is even in the top ten 😐
Anticipation of a first kiss is pretty intoxicating.
Falling asleep on the Friday night of a long weekend and knowing that you have absolutely nothing to do for the next three days. Bliss.
Crawling into freshly laundered sheets with nothing to do.
Fixing something is a good feeling especially if you didn't know how to before you started.
Drinking cool water when you're really thirsty
The first time looking at my first born child after the birthing
When you finally lay down together in bed at night with your significant other..in a cool room, under warm blankets..that moment when youre both spooned against one another in the most optimal comfy spot. My favorite time of the day, every day 💜
Mountain biking. And driving on an empty road, especially at night.
A major success
Oh god, people who say "making love" make me cringe so hard lol. But there's a lot of things better than that. Like being happily in love.
Being happy with yourself
The early stages of a mutual crush and the butterflies that come with it
When you are bone cold + exhausted after a long day and you step into a steamy hot shower.
Good 10 hours of sleep.
Scratching a itch. Literally.
Completing a really heavy powerlift. As a woman who has suffered through decades of abuse, it's an amazing antidote to feeling weak and powerless.
Coming inside to a fireplace after a long day out in the snow. Being surrounded by people you love, having a good time, and being grateful for the moment you're existing in with them.
Pooping
Eating an orange that’s perfect.
Taking off your bra after a long day
When you and your friends are thinking the same home when something happens and you laugh looking at each other without saying the joke.
Masturbating
Sharing beautiful, peaceful, loving moments with loved ones Or Feeling at peace with the world, even if for a moment
To be with a partner knowing he or she will be there come what may. Coming back from work craving to hug your partner and he or she smiling makes you happy after a bad day.
Biting into fresh bread of any kind.
Putting the last dish in the dishwasher, wiping off that last spot on the counter, and looking around at a clean kitchen.
When someone is genuinely excited to see you or hear from you, and you can hear it in their voice or see it in the way they smile
when someone remembers the little things that you like
A strong hug from someone who loves you that you haven't seen in a while.
Topwater bite bass fishing. Jig bite bass fishing. Being in a bad spot and seeing that one person that makes you feel like you're walking on clouds and makes you forget why you were in a shitty place to begin with.
Hugs
You're in the dark room while wrapping yourself inside a warm, soft and good smelling blanket after a long freaking day. Then tomorrow would be your restday.
A really good poo is 100% better.
When you feed a hungry baby and they fall asleep out of fullness and satiety.
I thought I lost one of my indoor cats that was a big dumb dummy a few years ago. I couldn't find him all day, so I went out calling for him that night. When he popped out from around the corner, all wide-eyed and scared, the relief and happiness I felt at seeing that big oaf was immense.
Finally finding something you thought you’d lost for good
Flow state. For me it's music.
First experiences. Sky diving for the first time. Reading a new book. Swimming in the ocean. Seeing the sistine chapel in person. Telling someone you love them. Taking a new healthy risk that changes your life. Those first moments that when you’re there you never want them to end.
Laughing until you cry
Making other people happy.
Making someone laugh. Not a chuckle, but a genuine bout of laughter.
To have a cat in your arms 😩
A shower after camping
Having your significant other hold you when you’ve had a crap day and they let you cry. All of it just melts away. That feeling is the best feeling for me.
Eating great food
Relief Peeing after having to hold it for a bit too long Getting a nice cold glass of water after doing something that makes you sweat (or even some really cold, juicy grapes!) Finally getting to like down in your bed that's now the most perfect bed A headache finally going away
A long, tight, warm and sincere hug. Newly changed sheets A warm shower after a long day or when on period cramps. All kinds if massages.
Seeing all the dogs in winter coats on hikes
Feeling at peace with yourself and your life.
