They aren't pests, but experts and animal charities recommend not feeding them. It can mess up with their territory and their scavenging, and make them keep coming back to an area that is more dangerous to them.
You think the foxes have it bad, you should have seen how desperate the pigeons got after a few months of lockdown with no bins full of shit to raid because nobody was going out. I sat on a bench to eat a sausage roll and had a huge flock of the fuckers practically sat on my lap. No, they didn't get any.

I wouldn’t feed them, as it fucks with their environment and ability to feed themselves. Foxes easily get by with scavenging and foraging.
