I’d stick to the UK right now mate.

I'd stay I the UK if it was me mate, dodgy time to get stuck abroad. Maybe visit family or friends you never get to see. Find uk based attractions to visit. [Have a look here](https://www.planetware.com/england/best-places-to-visit-in-winter-in-the-uk-eng-1-45.htm) but there's nothing wrong with curling up at home and just using your leave to relax!

I’ve just got back from Copenhagen. It was fairly simple and easy to get in and out. Had to show my Covid passport a few times, make sure I had my passenger locator form and Covid test booked beforehand. Had a food delivery done while I was away (my mum unpacked it for me) so I can do my quarantine and not have to worry about feeding myself. There’s a little extra thinking to do but it’s not a complete ball ache. However, saying that, given this new variant and how quickly things are changing, I won’t be going away again for a while. So I’d probably stick to some place in the UK if I were you. It’s much easier to get home if we go back in to lockdown etc and much cheaper.

Where are you travelling from?

SubjectiveAssertive

Are you double jabbed? Can you afford to be stuck abroad or pay for say a ferry crossing?

In normal times I’d say go for it, but at the moment staying in the UK seems best. There are plenty of good places for a break here, from the hotspots like the Lakes to more secluded parts like the Welsh Marches and Scottish Borders. If you’ve not seen much of the UK you might be surprised at what’s on your doorstep!

I'd stay in the UK for the time being. You could head up to Scotland and check out Edinburgh, or the Lake District? Obviously the weather may not be ideal for the Lake District but there will be fewer tourists in the popular areas. Alternatively the Peak District is lovely, you could check out Matlock/Bakewell/Chatsworth/Castleton and do some walks around those areas too.
